"He told GQ magazine: "I'm gonna eat the placenta. I thought that would be good. Very nutritious. I'm gonna eat the cord and the placenta right there"

Hey Tomcat, you want fries with that?

Not only does he have a crazed look in his eyes in that photo, he is getting downright scary. He's beginning to sound just like the guy in the recent kidnapping case of that little girl. Katie had better run really fast.

LJWF, I know what you mean. I'm riveted, too, in a "look at the wreck on the freeway" kind of way. If you take the Scientology part (ewwww!) and combine it with the Matt Lauer interview, the Oprah couch-jumping episode, the lashing out at Brooke Shields, the huge toothy grins they're both sporting, the mysterious "bump" of a pregnancy, it's enough wild ingredients to whip anyone into a frenzy. I totally dislike Cruise and could care less about Katie one way or the other, but put them together and you have a freak show that is unparalleled except when compared to Michael Jackson. And since he took his road show all the way to Bahrain, they're the closest state-side show we've got going. And since ol' Tom boy seems oblivious to why we're all gawking, he keeps delivering day after day with such anomalies as "eating the placenta", "she loves cupcakes", and how "cute she looks with her tongue sticking out of her mouth when she smiles". They're like the side show at the circus.
I think the Matt Lauer thing ticked me off the most. My son has ADHD and one little Concerta in the morning has made all the difference. Still the same kid but he can focus now. Cruise claims to have 'studied psychiatry'. When did he have time? He needs to grow up. He's clueless. You're right on about the freak show part.......

Cruise is a high school drop-out! I don't even think drugs would help him! His ego is as big as Katie's belly button!

I think she's already had it. I also think that some sperm donor is rich right now or at the very least, an in vitro doc is carrying a hunk of change around for a job well done. I sorta shiver and get a little queasy at the thought it might have been conceived the normal way...icky!

As for doula's. That's the parents fault frankly. They didn't research enough. A doula is a coach not a certified midwife. Unless they dropped that baby in the water on its head or held it under, the water wouldn't have hurt it. Many, many people give birth in water without problems.

My take on this whole giving birth at home thing is, fine, do it. It is a wonderful thing, but have back ups, don't rely on anyone else to tell you when something is wrong.....and scream or moan if you want to :) I'm sure they had a whole team of doctors in there though, not just some measly midwife for her!

These two are just freaky! I kinda wish I'd not started reading it lol
They probably used Tom Wopater, Cruise's biological cousin & a decent actor in his own right--and tall.

Could you mean William Mapother? Isn't he the cousin?

This is really getting funny. Tom is out there doing damage control as fast as his short little legs will get him there, and so far the press has revealed (1) Tom said he would eat Katie's placenta, (2) he's walked out of one interview because a reporter had the nerve to ask him about Nicole, (3) he's said he has no regrets over the Oprah couch-jumping episode, (4) Parade Magazine has reported that 14,000 of the 18,000 votes from their online poll re Tom came from the same 10 computers, (5) every other website on the internet is running pix of Katie's "fake" pregnancy, etc. The man either needs to shut up, stay home, or realize he's the one shooting himself in the foot.

As much as I think he is a freak, this quote was taken completely out of context and appeared to be said in a joking manner as he mocked his "craziness." I saw a tv interview where he said this. IMO the media is just as crazy as he is for constantly providing him with a public outlet to spew his garbage.

Is it possible this is her 7 day no-touch-the-baby week? Maybe she had it last week and has to wait seven days now.

Very good round up of the situation, Heart - Cruise needs to get a clue and fire his PR person (again) because they aren't advising him correctly.

it's all over bar the shouting, IMO.

Sadly, Floh, I don't think it's the PR person... who can shut him up? Nobody. He thinks he's funny, charming, interesting and the only one in the world that knows the real truth about psychiatry. Plus, he's the only person whose ever been in love, and the first person to ever become a father. How do you contain someone with a sick ego like that?

I'm sure someone has already posted this but...

This site is dedicated to the "talented and amazing actress Katie Holmes". Talented and amazing?

There really are people out there that think this sincerily f-ed up relationship is cool?

I've searched back a few pages, but couldn't find a mention of this. Dr Rosenfeld appears every Sunday Morning on Fox News and I always make a point of listening. This past Sunday he did a piece on Cruise/Katie and the silent birth. I found a link that will play the video of the segment after an ad is run.

He said that babies in the last three months hear body sounds, music, voices, etc. and do not have silence then. So, given that, is this sudden silence going to be harmful in the long run, as well as the separation?

Again, all you say is correct, IMO - i'm thinking the only thing which could halt this would lead to a thread in the future under the 'Crimes in the News' forum.

OKAY, here it is! The pregnancy we thought would never end, has ended! Rather suspiciously, there is little to no real news about it. The baby could have arrived today or a month ago.

Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise Have Their Baby!
