That's too bad. I really used to love to watch the Tonight Show back then. Thanks for posting this info...I hadn't heard about his passing.

I'm live in the area that Mr. Newsome was born and retired to. The company I work for had the pleasure of having Mr. and Mrs. Newsome as customers. I just wanted to add that he was just as quiet (I think most of the time his wife called our office but I did speak with him once or twice) and nice as he was on The Tonight Show.
He was a good and talented man. He'll certainly be missed by many.
