Tornadoes on the ground in Dallas - Fort Worth greater area

I hope my nephew is still in China! He lives in Irving and works in Dallas/Forth Worth area.

These are not large tornadoes and they are touching down lifting up and redeveloping.

I have several friends in Denton and a former client in Tarrant County. I'm checking with them now. I'm also going to check the map and make sure Denton is nowhere near the path. Scary.

I remember this weather all too well from all my years spent in the DFW area. I think tk71texas said it best: Stay safe, ya'll! Get in your closets or your bathtubs. Away from windows. Or duck and cover in the hallway if you're at school (what memories!). Those greenish, threatening skies are terrifying.

When it can toss a 80,000 pound semi and trailer around like it weighs nothing it shows the massive power that was in this tornado.

Shoot. Denton county? Last I heard they were okay. I just told one she better text me when it's over.

My oldest friend in the world moved to Denton from California about 9 years ago. We've been friends since she was 2 and me, four. She moved with her husband and two kids because his family had all moved out there and he missed them too much. Then her mom moved there. Then her dad and step mom moved there ( a month ago). I grew up with them and they are all California people, not used to tornadoes! And they are all in different places -work, school, homes, etc.

Tornadoes scare the heck out of me. Pray for my friends!!
