Missing? That's a joke, right? A public figure not wanting to disclose his whereabouts does not fit the definition of a missing person.

He's not immune from having criminal charges placed upon him while he's in office, but he has to be found guilty in court in order to be booted out. This is still somewhat reasonable and one small step better than the situation in which a sitting President is constitutionally immune from indictment. The latter makes no sense at all.

RF has had his authority to make decisions stripped from him. I think that I agree with the process, even though Ford is such a walking disaster. Unscrupulous political rivals can potentially destroy an innocent person.

I've never heard of a rehab facility that allows an in-patient to continue to work at their job by calling constituents (campaigning from rehab?) and to give interviews to favourable reporters where they are allowed to disclose information about other people who are in the rehab facility and to talk about how much they've learned in one week of being "clean and sober", including the revelation that alcohol makes you say and do things that you would never normally do. Well that's true. It allows you say things that you're really thinking because it takes away your "filter" for not doing things in certain situations that would put you in a bad light. Doesn't change your actual personal thoughts and beliefs. Nice try though Rob. :twocents:

So let me get this straight. He did fly to Chicago where the family has a home and business with Deco and upon arrival he decided not to answer any questions to enter the country that would incriminate him so he withdrew his application to enter the country and flew back to Canada?

I think as an immigration and security issue, it's imperative that someone in the Customs and Border services agency knows where he is. Or at least where his private plane landed and where he disembarked as his final destination.

So he didn't have a set plan when he flew to Chicago. And if he flew back to Canada the same day he didn't have a set plan here either. Unless the whole thing was a hide and seek game to begin with. So even with an apparent flight to and from the US, he was still able to enter and get a weeks worth of "rehab" from some institution that may or may not have been aware that he was coming.

It all smells to me. :moo:

“That was me,” Councillor Doug Ford said Wednesday afternoon, responding to reports that the mayor was spotted just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday at a Tim Hortons outlet in Toronto’s west end.

I have been to rehab and usually the first week there is no outside contact allowed at all. This guy is still lying

BREAKING: Doctor confirms Rob Ford is in a rehab facility somewhere in North America: CBC

In North America, eh? LMAO.
 
As part of the agreement, CBC is not identifying the doctor or the treatment facility. The doctor said Mayor Ford arrived at the facility last Thursday night and has been enrolled in an in-patient program ever since. Mr. Ford left the facility last Saturday after a medical exam and was taken to hospital and admitted for four days before returning on May 7, escorted, to the treatment facility, the doctor said.
