So he went into rehab supposedly a week ago this past Thursday. He spent three days out of the facility at a hospital? Why? What hospital? I assume it was here in Ontario and was covered by our provincial health care? Were they finally actually checking his health? Is that when he was able to make all the phone calls? So technically he had only been in the actual "rehab facility" for a couple of days before making his claims about it to his favorite Toronto Sun reporter?

Not sure if I believe any of it but one thing I do believe is that this is not the time he's going to get clean and sober. I still do not think he believes he has a problem. He's just doing what he thinks he needs to do to get his supporters voting for him for Mayor again IMO.

It's possible that he checked in and was sent to detox. Most rehabs (in the US, at least) require you to be completely detoxed and clean, before you can stay and start rehab. Detoxing takes place in a designated detox facility or hospital.

Can you fully detox in 3-4 days? And I suppose his comments to the newspaper reporter may have been before this hospital stay if that were the case? I don't think he'd be comparing gruelling detox to a football camp.

Personally I think he was checked in for other obvious health concerns and given a complete physical, including any cardiac stress tests necessary.

I worked on a medical chemical detoxification unit at one time. It was in a city hospital. Patients had to be detoxed from their substance-of-abuse. Length of stay on our unit was related to what the substance was. We saw a lot of opiate abusers (heroin, oxy), and alchohol abusers. Average stay was usually a week. Sometimes a little less, rarely more. Only after they were "clean" could they then begin a 28 day "rehab program" - which we did not have at our facility.

While these patients were indeed examined physically upon admission and their vitals monitored very closely throughout the process, they were not there to receive other health-related tests. Unless something specific came up during the detox that required a certain test, of course.

Long weekend at the cottage I suppose. I really doubt he will remain sober (or has so far). JMO. Party time!

Just as I suspected. And I have no doubt the program is costing him a hundred grand. Once he's finished the "in residence program" he can continue with the out patient program at their offices in Yorkville. It's a very upscale private rehab facility.

What I want to know is why, if he is in an in residence rehab program, is he running around Bracebridge on the Friday before a long weekend? In a suit no less. So it's only in residence Monday-Friday? I wonder if he was getting cash at the BOM to run to the liquor store? Don't want any proof of purchase debit transactions ;)

Someone interviewed on CP24 from the mall he was at said he went into the bank and thought he went to a Pet Valu store too. Wonder why he would need to go to a pet store if he's in rehab?
 
The woman interviewed live on CP24 also said he was with a woman who was small. His wife?

So who was driving the truck cab? And where was the woman then? Another article stated that he was with a senior staff member from the facility and had to take care of something in town. They said he's monitored at all times if he needs to leave the facility. Would a rehab consultant really think it was a good idea for him to be behaving like a semi celebrity and posing for pics? Oh and he was also at the dry cleaners dropping off a suit. Why is he wearing suits in rehab? Is it that upscale? ;)

Toronto police have interviewed one of two men claiming to be in possession of a recent video of Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine, Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux has confirmed to CTV News.
Giroux would not comment on where or when the interview took place, but said it was part of Project Brazen 2 — the investigation into the mayor’s activities that was launched in the fall.
