They suspected that some of the hecklers were CUPE members (public sector union) who were taking the day off. So they wanted 'evidence' for the public shaming union-bashing campaign.
OK so the crack-smoking happened in FEBRUARY? Is that what the Star is reporting? I thought Ford was saying it happened a about a year ago, in 2012. Very interesting. I think he may have done it more than once, not a big shocking surprise, I'm sure. JMO
There has been some confusion about this. Some say February and some say November 2012. We know the video first started to surface in February but is there any proof that the event took place in February? Does the actual ITO say February?
Mayor Rob Ford was filmed “consuming what appears to be a narcotic” in February of this year, according to a new police document related to the infamous “crack video,” which would contradict the mayor’s repeated claims that he hasn’t used drugs in over a year.
The mayor told CNN on the weekend “I haven’t smoked crack in over a year” and has repeated it several times in other media appearances in the past few days. He told CBC the last time he did drugs was “a year ago some time.”
However, he also told Fox News Sunday:”I’ve admitted to using illegal drugs in the last year.”
Good resource. 97 Allegations against the mayor.

I am Canadian and not far from Toronto. I don't support Ford or any of his behavior. Enough probs with our own Mayor right now. Has not hit the press. Yet.
OK he hasn't quit anything in any sort of 'come to jesus moment', he just still thinks that if he says the right things he can worm his way out of all the damage he has done. I don't think people are being harsh enough on him, he needs to leave office, he needs to RESIGN and walk away, after that I doubt he will seek any kind of treatment, seems to me that he was fine with his drug / alcohol use, it's the people who saw it that had an issue.
Please don't fall for the poor me routine Canada!! Rob doesn't want to be saved, he wants to party on and doesn't think it's anyone else's business.
Lawyers representing several media organizations, including The Globe and Mail, will be in Ontario Superior Court on Wednesday to argue for the disclosure of censored wiretap information, which includes details on the mayors connection to Project Traveller a year-long police guns and drugs investigation that culminated with dozens of arrests in mid-June.
Several other portions of the search-warrant document remain under wraps due to trial issues, including information from the mayors current and former staff members about a cellphone Mr. Ford lost in April. Also blacked out is information that staff relayed to police about an Etobicoke bungalow where the video was believed to have been filmed.
Hmmmm...

I've read almost the whole thing, and what I'm really looking forward to is info on Ford's missing cell phone -- there's a rumour Anthony Smith had it on him when he was murdered. Also, there's talk that Ford is paying the utility bills on 15 Windsor, the crack house where the video was shot.
