Just as an aside, some people never get any justice. Their missing children are never found and no perp is ever arrested. They have no idea what happened to their child.

I also think of the Amish whose children were shot at the school. They forgave right away.

I cannot understand these people. They have more strength than I can even imagine nor donI want that strength.

Or even Anne Frank. The hope she still had for humanity.

I still have w list of my heroes but I will stop here

I will add two heros from or ranks here at Websleuths who have given and shared so much of their private lives so for the rest of us to better understand and empathize of journeies most all of us will not encounter.

The first is Tulessa here on threads, who we on the Caylee trial lived through with her, got to know her and her yragedy....and now Katiekoolaid.

I applause those here that share their own experiences in relationship to what is going on so we can better understand the process and the victims.

Thank you Tulessa and Katie for allowing me to cross paths with you both here.

Do you know the rest of her heritage? I heard her sister sang a Native American song and I wondered if they were also of Native American heritage.

No. I don't.

I do think she shares some similar features common to native Americans, namely the shape of her nose and her almond-ish shaped eyes. But remember that Mexico is also part of NA and the indigenous peeps share quite a few of the same physical features. Though not all. :)

It's said to be in the photograph of him lying on the bed. I don't want to have to view a bunch of those pics again to find it, so I never looked for myself. I honestly don't know if its actually on his arm or not.

It is. It on his arm in the naked bed pictures. There is speculation
he was using it to make his arms look more pumped.

Come back, Laceybug! I will miss your posts!

No one made any negative remarks to Katie. I can't speak personally for anyone else, but I love that Katie left the card and love that she posts here.

Reading that people were panicking and thinking what I had written would potentially cause harm to the victims in this case actually left me shaking and sick to my stomach. I'm honestly still shaking. This is all very close to me...I take things too personally I'm sure because this is all very personal. Having just had a conversation with my brother today about what we've been through...we almost never discuss it. But he watched some of this trial and for some other reasons we talked about what it's like to live through this and keep living through it. It's been a heavy week.

I typically don't fare well long term on message boards. I'm not very thick skinned. And in this case even more thin (just the skin). It hits me at my core to think I would actually cause more pain to a victims family even on accident.

All I know is I will be sitting in that courtroom on Monday morning with their advocate "bearing witness" as that one brilliant poster wrote about. And if that's the beginning, middle and end of it, I'm ok with that.

Thanks for the love guys. I'm gonna go have a beer now and really I don't like beer but it's either beer or scotch with my dad and I'm wayyy too lazy to go out for wine. :seeya: (wish I knew where that blankie icon is).

Very interested to hear how the defense plans to get around the wiretapping laws.
Defendant was in California, two-party consent state.
Conversation was recorded in California by defendant.
Travis was in Arizona, one-party consent state.
Travis had a reasonable expectation that no one was listening and it was private phone call.

I would also love to know if Travis' Estate can sue her for all her eBay murderabilia jail food money.
Since his reputation has been damaged.

<snip for space>

Maybe they were both in Arizona when the alleged recording was made.

I'm thinking Travis's bank accounts. She had the PIN numbers, he wouldn't be needing it and it would go a long way as an alibi to show what great friends they were he "allowed" her access.

I know it is a petty thing in the scope of what happened, but if she took money out of his account I think she would be charged with theft. It is easy to follow the money so I do not think she took his money

Hi Ladies and Gents! I just joined today, and so look forward to speaking with you guys.

The last trial I followed was the CA circus, and that just put a bad taste in my mouth. I have a younger brother (in his 30's) and I think that's what made me so interested in this case. It's funny because, I knew nothing about this case until just recently. I must have been hiding under a rock.

I have been trying to catch up on WS, in fact I have not even watched JM's opening statement....only the defenses. At this point, I don't even think it needs to be watched.....I think the the evidence is there.

The fact that religion, and TA's sex life, is being brought up.....makes me sick.

Sorry if this was long, but I can't wait to discuss this case with you guys!

Sweet! Looks like Jodi broke the law! Go figure. I don't know how it can be proven that it was Travis she was recording, unless some type of voice analysis is used. Don't think the call is going to be allowed into evidence.

Yes. California and Texas belonged to the Mexicans before we decided it was ours

Does this pertain to private citizens?

I wondered if the law would apply to where the call originated if one party was in another state.
Thank you for the info.

I completely understand. Enjoy your beer. I don't like beer either, but like scotch even less! :)

Would LE not have pulled the info on his bank accounts? I would think they would have looked into that given they had the information on the deposits to her account?

Welcome to Websleuths, Apparition!
:wagon:

TY, very kind of you. I have been lurking a while, kinda the quiet guy in the back of the room. hopefully not the creepy one lol :) My past expirience with trials keep me interested in this trial. Some very informative and interesting people here keep me coming back to read it. As I just found out by your post, some very friendly and polite people too. Thanks a bunch

I should edit this, um by past expirience, I mean was on a jury, not on trial myself.

Katie,
I wrote that I had panicked fearing the family would come here. I was embarrassed and fearful about the discussions that happened last night, and feared them seeing the crime scene photos inadvertently,

After reading others responses about Websleuths being the very best and victim friendly site, I realized I was wrong and gained some perspective.

Me too. She also helps us understand what the family is going through and IMHO an all around good person.

Patience...

The defense just served up the stalking on a silver platter!

And the gas cans!

And proved no one ever saw Travis abuse her in any way shape or form!

The defense IMO is doing a bang up job proving the prosecutions case... Just wait till rebuttle!
