I also didn't realize how much JA mumbles or talks to JW when she starts getting nervous or uncomfortable! I tried multiple times to read her lips but she keeps them so darn close together it's too hard! Darryl gave an answer she didn't like and she mumbled something but i just couldn't make it out!

I'll be glad when this is over - as will my BF and my dogs! All I've been doing is analyzing this to death and the house is a wreck (and full of delivery cartons bc i'm too busy to cook! LOL)

Agreed. I wonder if she's (JA) telling JW her latest version of the events the witness is describing.

My dogs and husband will be as well. :-)

The crockpot is quite useful during trial days and taco Thursday. ;-)

It is my understanding she was in Yreka and he was in Mesa. I'll look for verification on it and will post if I find anything.

HTH

You're right about that according to the defense opening statement. Allegedly this recording was made a couple of weeks before Jodi murdered Travis.

That said, Jodi has bigger concerns than worrying about breaking the wiretapping law.

OFFTOPIC:

I have no idea why LE have not been able to rescue this child. Brings back horrible memories of the 1976 Chowchilla kidnapping...I was a teen then but I still remember it. Evil f***s 1976 Chowchilla kidnapping - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wow, thanks for the link. I had never heard of that case. I read the link and the most fascinating thing I read was, "Ray was able to remember the license plate number of one vehicle under hypnosis, which led to the capture of the kidnappers as they attempted to flee to Canada."

Hypnosis must be way more powerful that I really want to believe.

Sounds like a lot of them had issues.

Hopefully, therapy is more advanced nowadays.

I don't know why they don't throw teargas or something into the bunker. Maybe there is no way.

I still pray that this trial gets cancelled soon. It is ridiculous.

Just put her in her orange suit and stamp her file with her number. Done. Finished. No more crazy testimony. No more crazy pictures.

My brother died in a car accident late at nigt10 years ago. It took me 9 years to watch home videos and hear his voice. It was horrid. I cried and cried realizing that after all this time a small part of me still hoped it was a mistake. I never had time to grieve as I had the burden of getting my parents flights to be here. I also had to view him and make sure he looked the best he could to make it easier on my parents and his dhildren. I cannot imagine having to go through a trial or have his death analyzed. I hope you stay. I don't post much but i read everything. You are an inspiration to me. <3

I"m so sorry for your loss. It's something you never get over but in time the good memories will replace some of the sadness.

In the Anthony trial, there was a gentleman who taped a conversation he had with the defense investigator.

LE and prosecutors were not even allowed to listen to the call, let alone play it in court.

Yahoo article said, "Ex-FBI hostage negotiator Clint Van Zandt advised against any drastic measures such as cutting the electricity or putting sleep gas inside the bunker because it could agitate Dykes."

If y'all really want to get riled up and have something to talk about, listen to Wilmott's opening statement again, now that we've had some witnesses from the defense side. It is infuriating. I am trying to transcribe it and will post it in the media thread if anyone wants to read it or quote it.

We have mods here that do a very good job making sure we follow the rules. I don't understand why there's been posts that create division, shaming and laying guilt trips on other posters. There are sexual elements to this case and pics of sexual body parts, and discussing them is somewhat necessary to figure out the events leading up to the crime. There's jokes to lighten the mood sometimes, but really, everyone seems to care deeply about getting Justice for Travis.

I do agree with you that the mods do a good job. I thought about not responding to this, but I felt that I wanted to at least try one more time to explain why I said what I did say. There is no way that with a forum this size that there will not be division. We all have our opinions and this actually is a good thing. In saying what I did, about the photos of the body parts, it was completely out of respect for Travis and his family. I was in no way trying to shame or lay a guilt trip on anyone. Perhaps you were not reading the same comments I was, because in no way were the comments necessary to any events leading up to the crime. I am fully aware that all aspects of the case must be discussed. But, sometimes people can go beyond what is factual and begin to start to make comments that could be hurtful to loved ones. I admit that I might also be over the top on certain things. But, never, ever about a victim. I don't believe that anyone here would ever want to hurt Travis or his family. But, people sometimes do, unknowingly. And, while making jokes is done by all of us at one time or another, I was only expressing my frustration that complete strangers to the family, were laughing and joking about a victims body parts.

I have had to repeat this many times because new posters come and question what was said, but I just think that if each of us would stop and think before we make a post, that we might be able to self-censure ourselves. If we think of the victim as one of our loved ones, would we find it funny to joke about their intimate body parts? That's all I am saying.

I respect your concern for the victim's family. I agree with some of your above post.

In all honesty, my post was not in response to yours or any post in particular.

I did notice the tone of this thread changed with some posters scolding others about mentioning sexual aspects of this case as though we aren't being bombarded by the sexual components in the actual trial. The intimate body parts will probably be discussed in trial next week again. We can't help but get drawn into the religious sexual defense being spun. To tell you the truth, I would like to figure out if Travis actually knew Jodi was there, and if they were intimate before she decided to harm him so fatally.

Victims' families will read about decomposition, stains, and all kinds of things on any of these forums. It just so happens in this case there's some sexual body parts. To me this site is about crime sleuthing. We care to find answers and Justice for the victims.

i lost my mom 10 yrs ago - who btw was the best person ever - just so suddenly, she came home from work and had an aneurysm - right after she had just had a physical - my step mom talked to me for many months and really explained to me that when you lose some one in such a fast and unexpected way, you have to grieve different - when some one is sick and passes you have the chance to start to come to terms - but when they are ripped away, it can take years - and that i should never feel guilty about how long it takes you to come to terms w/ it - and truly it has just been the past few years i can talk about her w/ out tearing up - and if i hadn't had some one explain it so well to me and have so much patience, i don't think i ever would have gotten past the hump - i would have just shoved it down and just hurt for the rest of my life i'm afraid - so never feel bad about the time it takes to grieve a lost loved one - and follow your inner voice to know when you are ready to move forward to see pics, movies and share stories - every one's journey is different

ok i'm off my soap box now
