A lot of Texas is filled with the "good ol' boy" types that think that anal sex is the act of either a pervert or a gay. I live in Kentucky so I am familiar with this ignorant thinking, though thankfully, I live in the city. lol

I responded to a different (similar) post. I admit I let it hit a nerve with me before I read anything about the case. I feel much better after having it clarified.

Maybe I'm too sucked into the Arias "fog" and immediately assumed she was like her. Anyway, I should've read more about it before letting it get to me. Thanks to everyone who gave me more details involving the case. :seeya:

Debra Milke's conviction has been overturned. Does this mean she is set to go free? If yes then there will be only 2 women on death row and we can't have that. No problem Arias will fix that right up! Hurry up, Arias. Death row is calling your name!

Prosecutors could re-try Milke, and if they choose not to (within 30 days), she'll be released from prison.

Some old woman, a caller, just called HLN and told them that even though Jodi killed Travis .. Travis is guilty of many things himself.. She believes he was a pedophile cuz all he wanted from Jodi was anal sex)))

Where do these people come from? Did she somehow miss the fact that she has only JA's word regarding that??

See, yeah! The way she doesn't remember is so obviously malingering. Real memory problems, including those from PTSD, don't manifest that way. Why do hers always benefit her court case, lol?

That's a strange malady, and quite common among criminals, too

I saw some clip the other evening, where I believe the premise of the clip was exactly showing Jodi saying "I don't remember" in a very relevant Flores interview on something about the gun. This clip alone would speak volumes to exactly what she is doing now.

So which side was the judge scolding right before they recessed? She said that this should have been presented in limine before trial started today--was that aimed at Juan?

I don't think we have figured out who she was talking to. I believe it was aimed at Juan as he had the original limine motion about precluding testimony from this Samuels fellow.

A motion in limine is a motion filed by a party to a lawsuit which asks the court for an order or ruling limiting or preventing certain evidence from being presented by the other side at the trial of the case. Generally, this motion is filed in advance of the trial, but a motion may be entertained by the court during a trial, before the evidence in question is offered. The purpose of this motion is to prevent the interjection of matters which are irrelevant, inadmissible or prejudicial.

Most objections to the admissibility of evidence are made when the evidence is offered at trial. Thus, the jury usually hears the question and the witness' answer before the objection is made or hears the other lawyer discuss this evidence in his opening statement. The reason these motions are filed in advance of the trial is to prevent the other party from offering the evidence in front of the jury. Once the evidence is offered, the "cat is out of the bag" and cannot be put back in.

As a former Texan I can tell you most there would vote for the DP. And she might want to talk to her husband, son, or brother before calling Travis a pedophile for that reason. Besides, it was Jodi who taught him to like it. Maybe she is watching a completely different trial. :banghead:

Well, I missed what went down this morning so I can't comment on the expert, but as far as the jury, they already know that whatever the defense (non) experts testify to with regard to any abuse is based on LIES , TALES, they have Jodi's number. They know there was no abuse, they have figured out her only last chance is for the DT to hopefully convince someone of abuse, PTSD, anything. So they- jury- too are going to sit through a bunch of "a lotta about nothing", llistening to some idiot that is going to try to convince THEM she was abused. Dont see that happenning . IMO

I believe this witness is testifying that her fognesia is a real phenomenon.

the article seems to be saying how, when under duress, even trained gun handlers like police don't react well and they only hit their target 18% of the time. So, that would lead me to believe that Jodi was not involved in a sudden incident sparked by Travis as if she was she would not have reacted as well and would not have successfully shot him. I'm not seeing how this helps her. But I'm probably not as "creative" a thinker as an expert defense witness...

Thanks for that link. There are a few things that I don't see as being that helpful to the defense. For example:

You would think that the two hour break from 11:15 to 1:15 would be their lunch, and that there won't be an afternoon lunch break. We shall see. At this rate, this trial won't be over until after Easter.

but i read somewhere on this board that this trial is scheduled until mid april...
so nothing surprises me - i just feel for the jury
