(A) "Expressive" homicide

"Expressive" homicide usually starts with an argument and the primary goal is to hurt the person. These "expressive" homicides can be further subdivided into those which occur between spouses, between other family members, as a result of child abuse and between strangers.13

(B) "Instrumental" homicide

An "instrumental" homicide begins with attempting to get something from another person; violence is simply an acquisition tool. In Canada, about one in four 1994 homicide incidents occurred during the commission of another offense. Further, more than two-thirds of these homicides happened at the same time as another violent offense.20

Wilmot is shaking like a Chihuahua.

Wow, the defense is really grasping for straws with this one. PTSD?? Really??

Can the state request cross-sections of JA's brain to determine if her brain shows any signs of past PTSD or memory fognesia, particularly when she savagely murdered TA? :great:

  • #386
What is Wilmott even babbling about?

  • #387
A Time magazine article is held as reliable as a peer reviewed journal? WTH is she talking about?

  • #388
If its going to confuse them then why should they look at it at all.

Jodi has PTSD from actually planning and killing Travis, IMO. So?

Don't expect me to feel sorry for her. She's the one that drove across the state lines to go kill a man that never abused her. Travis just wanted her to leave him alone.

JW has a good strong speaking voice, at least. No Nurmi please.

I see the defense is snarky today. Such attitude coming from them.

They have a lot of cleaning up to do. Look at all the verbal vomit from Jodi they have to wipe up and sanitize.

Of course they "just finished" the power point this morning. Put the final signature on it or corrected punctuation or something. This report NOT prepared this morning.

Plus Wilmot is too prepared in her argument. She knew Juan would have a problem with being blindsided so she was ready.

Ha, ha - it would have taken Nurmi all day to say what she had already said in five minutes!

I'm not fond of Ms.Wilmott in general but I must say, at least she shows more spark than Nurmi. Her client is still going to death row but hey, at least Wilmott isn't boring :floorlaugh:

You know, I'm not fond of her either, but I have to say, woman to woman that I love how she keeps her nails (they appear to be her natural nails from what I can see). And that she's not just using boring "office appropriate" colors. She keeps them painted. I give her points for that.

Wilmott seems like a much more competent attorney than Nurmi... eeek!

If the judge lets this in... Juan's gonna shred. Him worse on cross!

JA looks so self righteous ...... arrrrrgh!

She probably thinks the PPT show is filled with various glamour shots of her..through the years.

Wow she is just totally opposite of Nurmi huh?

Very quick talker.

  • #398
UNPLANNED?? This expert says it's unplanned? Yeah all the way to the bank. Vile.

  • #399
he can rely on the articles but they need to be disclosed to the state! Juan's argument isn't that he can't use the articles but that they were not disclosed in time.

so this "expert" relies on time Magazine articles okie dokie. I want the magical thinking lady to pop out from the desk now
