So says my personal therapist. He sounds like he is still living in 1975.

My counseled diagnosed me with PTSD from childhood trauma and I promise you I've been in tons of threatening situations and never once did I feel the desire to murder anyone.

Also, if he is going to reference a 2013 Time article, then Martinez should reference a 2013 article on CNN that says TONS more people have PTSD than society realizes and they often are high functioning people who can live normal lives.

JM is able to regroup immediately whenever his line of questioning is stopped or redirected seemlessly.

JW on the other hand...not so much.

It's so obvious that Jodi tailored her testimony using this man's terminology. Fog, shaking, being able to drive in a Fog, brain is like a computer.... and I'm sure we will hear more of the "buzz words" Jodi used during her 18 days of testimony later on from this Dr. Samuels.

I hope JM asks the good doctor if he was kind enough to provide JA and/or the defense a copy of the Time Mag article as a "study aid"

I wonder how Jodi feels about this witness' testimony? Does she get it that he's suggesting that she has mental health issues? When responding to a juror's question about her "mental health problems", Jodi made it clear that she didn't have any mental problems. Sorry, Jodi, but you can't have it both ways. :moo:

It would seem to me that all that has to be established is the fact that we all are capable of the fight or flight response, but that does not mean it kicks in with all of us. Just as Jodie could have had this acute stress, she also may have not experienced it.

No way of knowing unless she was tested at that exact moment--good excuse though:jail:

I don't really have a problem with Dr. Samuels per se. His theories are even interesting. They just don't apply in this case, no matter how much the defense team would like the jury to believe they do. In order to apply his hippocampus and amygdala theories and teachings, one has to believe her story, which is solely the product of sociopathic lies and coaching by her counsel.
