trial day 31: the defense continues it's case in chief #87

Any diagnosis has to come from a trained professional administering and analyzing the test - and the individual - in person and with ample medical/personal history and time to get familiar with the person. (I know you're making a point ). It's not a diagnosis that can be given willy-nilly and is a serious issue.

I only posted links to the PTSD test to show what type of questions are asked and that you can fake the answers. I realize only a professional can analyze.

I don't think this guy is qualified to testify about that, and it sounded like the judge already ruled that he can't, but the DT is trying to sneak it in. Is that right?

I'm not sure. I think that is what the hearing is about tomorrow.

can you imagine the feeling of isolation, if you can't turn to a parent? If you can't turn to a friend? If you can't turn to a professional to seek some help? The turmoil must have been incredible
Didn't see her turning to a cop for release of her torment did you?
Usualy when a person murders somebody they kind of weigh the options about turning to a professional,isolation,or turning to a parent or doing life in prison.
Funny how they will rather put up with the lonely ,isolated,turmoil than tip the prison scale in their favor.
Hard to believe someone with Dr in front of their name can spiel this crap.

Or they turn to a defense attorney who crafts a defense to try and negate the evidence

He was bartering services from a patient's father for his dental services. He was supposed to be making psychological assessments for the father's child's custody case. Instead of this, he was stringing the treatment out to get his teeth fixed. Unethical.

I am not sure if I can stomach much more either. I may take a break until closing arguments. This trial is giving me headaches and making me so mad.

I couldn't even watch today because I cannot stomach listening to the lies from ole cheerleader Willmott, she is annoying and he form of questioning is juvinile at best. I might have to hold off watching until Juan comes back up to bat, the lies from this Defense is sickening and if this Jury gives that lying, pathetic, you know what anything LESS than DEATH, it is a travesty of justice for the Family and for Travis.

I'd say it's a fair bet that most of her diary entries aren't honest. These entries were screenshots that JA read from while on the stand. She just didn't read everything on the screen (like she's going to be an excellent wife, etc.).

I agree, but the Dr. said he read all her journal entries... AND apparently took them as being truthful documents. It doesn't appear as though he saw the ones I posted (doctored or not - all her written entries are suspect imv).

Not only that - pacifists aren't known to slit the neck of an unarmed man, shoot him in the head and stab him in the back, chest, and more over 2 dozen times.

Not a pacifist. Not honest. Expert NOT credible.

Not to overlook the slashing of 12 tires (two full sets of TA's and one full set of the frightened girl he was innocently dating) and traveling to confront a romantic rival and sending a frightening and threatening anonymous email to the same perceived romantic rival.
