:goodpost:

I wonder if it's me, but during her testiphoney, I was struck at how much of an insignificant loser she was. She wasn't compelling or particularly intelligent- although a whole lotta dupes thought otherwise. She struck me as surprisingly powerLESS, not powerFUL and I've always in a weird way equated evil with dark power.

She was a nobody from nowhere with no value. A grifter having made no contributions to the world.

She met a guy with an enviable lifestyle she felt she deserved to share in, presented herself *** up for the world to see, and when he attempted to pull away from her, she plotted to murder him.

She's no multi-layered onion blossom as the media portrays. Her complexity is on par with a ding dong or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

OMG this has to be my favorite post of the week. Esp with that last line. I literally laughed out loud all by myself over here. :floorlaugh:

What an unusual person!:moo:

Singing and standing on her head, just before she's arrested for Murder1! :what:

Words fail me, except poor Travis. :(

Fox obviously has more footage than we've seen. I wonder if we'll see it on Greta's show. I'd love to see it ALL.

What footage? What did I miss??

ETA: I see it now.

I agree with the means by which JA may have adopted story 3 Version C.

What I don’t quite understand is why she/DT opted for the stories that would deflect the premeditation element of her crime.
Without spending too much time I think I could conger a better story that would debunk premeditation than:

1) I ran into a closet where TA loaded vs unloaded gun was sitting patiently ready for discharge
2) When I cleaned I detected the gun location and conditions
2) TA told me secretly he had a handgun
3) TA told me it was unloaded
4) TA told me he loaded his gun
5) the gun was sometimes in a holster

Followed on by:
1) During sex we used a long rope
2) The long rope had to be cut to a certain length
3) While measuring the long rope TA taking one end walked into the bathroom
4) TA obtained a knife by which to cut the long rope to a more appropriate size
5) TA “evidently” left this knife in the bathroom – near the sink
6) TA may also have left the knife on the bed stand
7) After the crime scene clean up I had the presence of mind to procure the sex rope + any and all rope fragments that were cut by TA when he was measuring for length sex suitability
8) I wanted to remove the rope/ pieces of rope from the scene in addition to the gun +/- knife BECAUSE a)I wanted to spare TA the embarrassment of participating in rope sex b) I wanted to cover up any indication of “kinky sex” c) rope would not play into the story of a “mafia style” murder d) I wanted a souvenir of our sex act e) I thought rope might come in handy during my desert nighttime road trip f) I needed rope for a Magic Act I was preparing in Yreka g) TA before he died told me to take the rope and discard it h) Ryan Burns told me he wanted to engage in rope sex i) Not really sure why but I know I just like having bloody rope with me.

Absolutely! She had over a year to develop a story to match the evidence! She screwed up her story, and my guess is her Attorney's guided her to it, but she might even be trying to get them to believe what happened also, so they could not help her with the fatal flaws in her timing and order of facts.

As you say, this could have been done with less holes in it. For 1, how about due to only 1 minute in between I am alive and I am down and bleeding.. we don't RUN down any hallway idiot, just run straight ahead into the closet! You know he keeps a little 25 caliber gun at eye level, right there where he could grab it if an intruder came into the house. SO she grabs it and runs! a brief struggle occurs, she slips away from him because he's wet and not fully steady on his feet, but it has her pointing back toward the closet door to the bathroom, so that's where she ran, he is only a step from her, she turns and shoots.

I would never have made this a run through the house thing and certainly NOT shoot him in the head and now he is bigger and stronger and faster? WHAT cartoons is she watching in prison???

I'm still thinking there was more than one gunshot. The second was aimed at and hit Travis.

HLN said the hearing is crucial to the defense. They want to introduce whether it was a reactive killing or ( sorry forgot the word they used, please enlighten me) If the DF can bring this in then she may get 2nd degree murder.
They also said JM can bring in his experts during rebuttal to say it is nonsense. Maybe someone can it explain it much better.

:blushing: IRL.

God bless you Katie, for everything you've done for everyone. If I can repay the debt through a decent post, it's a privilege.

OMG, I saw that this morning. I couldln't believe what I was seeing, what a whackadoodle! Tonight at 10PM, Greta van Susteren will have her whole show devoted to Arias and will show the video.

Thanks! She did great coverage of the Anthony case but I haven't watched her since she switched to all politics.

Crap. I have been sitting on the edge of my seat :HHJP: I already had my
Oh well, it is what it is. I guess I could do housework. Probably won't. but I could.

I'm all discombobulated now. Can't adapt to this sudden change of plans.......or I just so wanted an excuse not to clean house. In fact, I think I have PTSD from the shock of having no excuse to stay in my recliner with my coffee and danish(s). :waitasec:

I would hope that the jury could see through the good doctor and all of his nonsense. He is as despicable as JA.
P.S. When Juan was questioning JA about telling someone about the killing, she said something like, "I know who you mean, I just can't think of his name." That's how much of an impression he made on her. She just knew he might be the ticket to get her out. I question the quality of the meetings the had. He said 12 times.

OMG just watched the video. She's doing a handstand, laughing to herself, saying that she should've done her makeup, singing a song to herself about her memory, and digging through the trash bin...while the detective is out the room. She is completely crazy. I've always felt bad for Travis and felt that he had no idea what he was dealing with but this takes it to a new level. She had a better chance at insanity. Watching this video further proves that she is CRAZY. I feel like I just watched the excorsist or something. Why didn't the jury see this when they played the interrogation video? OMG! :what:

I bet they can show it in punishment phase. Travis has been dead six weeks, she is about to be taken into custody knowing she will never be free again and she acts like this?

  • #572
So, had she already been told she was going to be arrested at this point? Was she arrested there in that room or later in the day, and where were the gun and knive, in her car?

  • #573
When I think of how stupid her story is, I should be glad, and its probably the spirit of Travis putting ideas in her head..

"Jodi...say you shot me, then I ran even faster with a bullet in my head, naked and wet on slippery tile.. ya, that's a good one, they will believe you and you will be out of that prison in days! promise!"

ha!

  • #574
Oh, my goodness! I just saw the reenactment of the killing on HLN to see if it could be done in that length of time. The guy was counting so fast there wouldn't even be time to pull the knife out to stab again. Most of those things could not be done in that length of time by an ordinary person, even if Travis was completely still and not fighting back at all. That is ridiculous! It could not have happened like that. What was HLN thinking?

That's a perfect description. The song she's singing in the new video is "Here With Me" by Dido. Wiki describes the third verse of the music video:

"After the second chorus, she takes her coat off and enters a block of flats. Dido walks up hundreds of stairs inside flats and she arrives to a bedroom where her ex-lover is sleeping as she jumps on the bed. After the third chorus, Dido is back on the teal bed with a photo of her ex-lover and herself and taking like an action cut."

Whoa

JM should include that in his closing! Her laughing is frightening. I didn't think she could get any creepier, but she just did.

Exactly.

She is more highly disturbed than I ever thought possible. She has to be one of the most sociopathic, psychotic people this world has ever seen. Literally.

Jodi can't even do a real headstand. She has to use the wall. If she was a real yogi, she wouldn't need the wall.

She was just trying to show off for the camera, but she is a yogi imposter.

Be that as it may, I am glad to see all of the body slamming didn't seem to do significant damage.
