According to Arizona Statute you do have to fill out a form. The employer doesn't have to pay you but 87% of employers do pay people when they serve jury duty.

Quite chilling isn't it? Did she playing this over and over as she drove through the night heading to do what she wanted? Her excuse for the detour was the cd of the photos and checks for the car? Jodi always left something behind or had a stupid reason to keep coming back.

I think she relishes the memories. They keep her warm at night.

She wanted to see the crime scene photos when Det. Flores was interviewing her. She hasn't had them in her jail cell to look at for over four years, and as this entire brutal murder took less than two minutes to commit, I doubt she studied the scene itself much during or after the commission while in haste to clean up and get out of there. Therefore I believe she has more of a morbid fascination with what she did rather than the clearest of memories of actually committing the crime. The one thing that hopefully haunts her are Travis' eyes in that last photo before the first stab wound.

I agree the human mind will block out trauma whether you are the perpetrator or victim.. Even if we were committing it, does not mean we don't feel panic and trauma at the time. I actually think she thought it would be like the movies, kill him in the shower so the mess stays in there! Easy and clean. That is the one thing that went very wrong for her and yes, I think she flipped out...walking as he crawled moaning, trying to ask for help and she was saying SHUT UP! (like she said the Ninja said) she did not expect this disaster of a crime scene.. so yes, she fogged up. Can she remember if she tries.. Yes, sure.. I don't believe she is foggy about the gun and knife at all...I don't believe rope was ever in any scenario...the little fibers were incidental. I can picture her hyperventilating and in sheer panic.

She did this once and screwed it up bad.. But I am so afraid if she got out, she would do this again and be much better at it and she won't be as traumatized next time. But I know she would kill again

ITA about the lack of an emotional center. It it all *so* foreign to her. That is actually the only time I have observed her actually struggling; trying to emote, mimicking feelings and emotions, crying for anyone other than herself. IMO she is absolutely soulless, staring out at the humans with those big, dark, evil, cold, dead, empty shark eyes.

As a person with PTSD for many years there are so many seemingly benign types of stimuli that can take me from being a seemingly happy, normal, functioning person in an ordinary situation and turn me into a running, panic-stricken, paranoid, hyperventilating, sobbing wreck in a public place it is ridiculous, frightening and impossible to explain or understand for most people. Some of the obvious, certain colognes, just a few notes or words from certain songs or music, (even Muzak versions) news video clips of certain events or certain cities, the sound of a close helicopter, anything at all related to Pink Floyd, including anyone wearing a Tshirt or seeing an ad, guacamole, raw meat, platinum, the smell of diesel fuel, and a hundred other seemingly random things.

IMO, if she had any degree of PTSD she would be begging for some type of relief.

I have PTSD as well and I try to never ever put myself in a situation where I would experience it. However, I recognize for people who have abusive partners or parents that that is difficult or even impossible. Which is why, when she was claiming all this BS about abuse by Travis -- he kicked her, he choked her -- I had a really hard time with her going back to see him on June 4th. But now she's claiming the PTSD occurred on June 4th itself. . . .

I agree with you about the hyperventilating, sobbing wreck. I'm afraid I've done that in public places (smells are definitely a biggie). But she discusses it cool as a cucumber. And while she "cries" when she sees the photos of Travis after he was found, it's not much of a reaction.

I agree. His death is the one part of him that she OWNS, singularly and completely. She'll never give that up. Plus, as a practical matter, any new revelations would upset her appeal efforts, should she get the DP.

The "Travis had the knife" thing was sure a new revelation though wasn't it? Her DT must have been blindsided by that one. Now the story goes in a whole new direction.....yeah right......I'm guessing the jury isn't going to buy version (what is it?) 4.0 or 5.0 either.

Absolutely, because if posters here don't get it, maybe the jurors won't either.

Well, those posters are self-selected. I mean they only go there because they've already decided she's innocent. I doubt if many people post there who are just looking for info. And we already know that negative posts are removed and posters banned.

The jurors are selected at random from voter rolls (or whatever) and so IMO are unlikely to be her supporters.

Imo he would have been more at a disadvantage sitting down. Try sitting down against the wall with your knees bent close to the body like his was and see how fast you can get up. I just tried it twice, and you lose valuable seconds trying to scramble up. I think that was the entire purpose of posing him like that.

I know we all see something different when we look at the next-to-last photo of Travis alive, but I see terror.

Agree. I believe Jodi made Travis sit down in the shower. I think she used a weapon to do it. Why would a grown man sit down in that small shower?

I don't believe for one second Jodi's story that this was a "photo shoot". The pictures are more in line of Jodi taking them without Travis' knowledge. She is documenting Travis' last moments alive. She doesn't even use the flash until Travis is sitting in the shower.

Travis is cramped and very vulnerable in that last position when Jodi starts to murder him. I believe the 5:31:14 picture is when Jodi first stabs Travis with one hand while holding the camera with the other hand.

Jodi either held on to the camera while stabbing Travis once he got out of the shower or she put it in her pocket. When she bent over Travis at the end of the hallway to cut his throat she let go of the camera to use both hands, or it fell out of her pocket when she bent over to cut his throat.

I just find it so much easier when I choose to disbelieve everything she says. A lot of her lies are obvious and most are self serving-----this 'camping trip' is both to me.

I don't believe anything she says except for the fact that she killed him.

That is as bizarre as her saying she thought the gun was unloaded. Why point an unloaded gun at someone who is within inches of you, threatening your life? Love Juan Martinez's question "what were you going to do, throw it at him?"

During the selection process, aren't potential jurors asked if an extended trial would create financial hardship for them or not? Heck, for some people, a few days of jury duty could make them unable to pay the rent (guessing they'd be excused. One would hope so anyway). Imagine the thousands of dollars of income the jurors have lost so far?

I think jurors should receive funds - comparable to their income. I understand that the court doesn't want jurors to be persuaded by anything... but it really doesn't seem fair if they can't submit for some sort of reimbursement per the posts above.

I just wonder if it's a catch-22 if they say during selection that sitting on the jury would not cause them any financial hardship.

How would the Defense have any crime scene photos?
