OT: FCA's attorney asked judge for permission for FCA to sell her story. Didn't she declare bankruptcy and now wants to sell her story?? I don't understand...

Another questions: Can you speculate on why someone who has no memory of killing someone would immediately begin covering for herself once she "comes to"? Can you speculate how she would know she'd done something terrible if she cannot remember doing it?

oh, crap.

I think Samuels would have been more effective as a memory expert if he had used a chart more jurors could have related to during his testiphoney.

E.g.,

Anyone else concerned about today's juries and their experiences, given that most Americans are on a number of prescription and/or OTC meds for any and every ailment which can possibly be diagnosed?

Will most of those jurors think there is something physically, mentally, emotionally wrong with JA, for which she needed but wasn't receiving treatment?

If so, will they be reluctant to hold her accountable, given that some, if not most, of those jurors may believe that she can't possibly be evil/wicked enough to have butchered another human as she did if she were physiologically/psychologically ill?

Ergo, she's a victim of some awful, perhaps undiscovered and un-diagnosed psychosis, obviously.

For the Defense, that's a primary purpose of this phase of the trial.

Anyone else have consternation regarding the possibility that the jury will hold her less than entirely accountable for her admitted actions, especially after the Pinellas County 12 perverted justice in the Anthony case?

JA said her memory fails after she shot the gun. Juan will prove that the gunshot came last so JA does remember all knife wounds and is still lying on the stand to the jury.

I'm in the "gunshot came first" camp, but if the jury believes the ME's version of events, then more power to them. I in fact want them to believe the ME because that would ensure a conviction of 1st degree murder. :)

I don't think the other participants (parents) were named. They weren't named other than by initials in the decision issued by the board of whatever it was that sanctioned him. Did he name the parents in court? If not, then no confidentiality was breached.

JMO

I disagree...I think he gave a lot of details about this case, and in a rather "gossipy", flippant manner. I doubt that it would take too much effort for a good sleuther to find the case, despite the fact that Samuels didn't believe that the inter "nets" hadn't been discovered by Al Gore yet. As an RN we were forbidden to talk about the details of patients cases outside of work. Took many an Ethics class on this as well. But, that's jmho as well.

Oh man I need them to speed this up. I've been called for jury duty. I don't wanna be stuck in a courtroom on a case when this finally wraps!

Oh this case has hit me hard. I can't sleep well (nightmares of the defendant), poor appetite, heart races madly when I see Arias, heart aches sadly when I see Travis' family. I cannot imagine how Travis' family is doing. Hugs for all. I cannot wait for verdict day.

I understood it that someone has offered to buy the "rights" to her story. The proceeds going to the creditors of her bankruptcy. Then after the bankruptcy is over she CANNOT sell her story ever because it no longer belongs to her.

Tulessa is working on all the info in the Casey Anothony Bankruptcy thread.

I believe this jury takes prescription/OTC meds for any and all ailments under the sun so they won't hold that in mind while judging JA.

I believe the jury will see that JA clearly knew right from wrong despite any mental issues JA may or may not have - JA was of sound mind to make decisions to destroy/hide/lie about evidence that was not 'beneficial' to her.

I believe the Jury will surmise that JA was into self-improvement, both mental and spiritual, JA had the internet and other resources to seek help if she CHOSE too. I believe that the jury will see that JA was ACUTELY self-aware because of her self-help books, spiritual searches, law of attraction stuff.

Because of all the clever memory loss and premeditation, I believe this jury will see JA for what she is - a cold blooded killer.

This jury seems very aware and intelligent and the prosecutions case isn't as convoluted as CA's was. I don't think this will be like Pinellas County at all.

Your question indicates that you understand precisely.

Clear the debts, eliminate any creditor who could have a legal claim to your wealth, and then generate the wealth.

Not a minute before...

Don't worry...you could sit in of several juries and still be out with at least 3 months to spare.
