As I've pointed out too, it isn't uncommon for abuse survivors to have a visceral reaction to recounting, or being confronted with, details of their own abuse. No PTSD dx even required. It's something your body simply reacts to all on its own - probably some way of your body seeking to protect itself. When I have a similar reaction I shake, get an extremely bad, stabbing headache, become nauseous, light headed, and begin hyperventilating.

The fact that we saw no such reaction, or ANY reaction, recounting what should be horrific details of abuse is very telling to me.

Even PTSD sufferers and abuse survivors with the most flattened of emotional responses can't control their own bodies when such a reaction occurs. Not that I've seen anyway...and usually the flat emotions are in response to other areas of their life - not their own history of abuse.

Correction...I USED to suffer things when I was younger...panic attacks if I was trapped by an abuser, having no one protect me, defend me, etc. but I guess with age, I no longer have those visceral reactions. I do remember them though.

He is not an expert in blood spatter!!!!!

I'm wondering how I would feel if one of my daughters told me that she wants to grow up to be a blood splatter expert.

Exactly, my uncle...the biggest hard core Army guy who did three tours in Iraq but would never show any emotions of "weakness" jumps a mile when a book is dropped on the floor and shakes when a door slams.

I hope the jury can see the "expert witness" as he glowers at JM when he objects to the line of testimony.

I am trying to figure out why this expert is so heavily, personally invested in this defense that he emotes so negatively when JM objects.

Maybe he's bartered something with Little Miss BJ Facial upon her release from jail. :D

Crime scene disorganized??????

This guy will testify to anything. Now he is going to say JA was stressed because she left evidence behind.

He is one stop shopping.

  • #788
I'd rather the judge let too much in rather than have a new trial ordered because she wouldn't allow certain evidence in. JMO

Yep when you slip and slide in blood during a murder it's going to look disorganized.

She dragged him with the sheet. She didn't pick him up

I don't post often, been around for years, lurk daily.

Is it just me, or could all of this "testimony" have been tightened up/summed up in one session? I just feel as if he keeps covering basically the same ground.
