Well, even if he doesn't acknowledge that he provided therapy, Juan should be able to ask him if he sent her cards to make her feel better and whether he counseled her about her mood -- he can do that without mentioning Nurmi or the reasons for Samuels' actions.

Completely agreed. The reasons for the visit does not even have to be addressed. But I find the fact he sent her cards VERY relevant. Juan should be able to ask him about it.

was she shaking when she dragged Travis down the hall as he was bleeding and trying to get away?

Send her gifts?
She was depressed because nurmi was leaving...

i think the only reason Smuni stayed on the case was that she changed her story to self defense. He prob didnt want to defend the ninja thing..he had to get down and dirty sexual stuff involved...

No, the state denied his request to leave the case!

I hate Jodi Arias and her legal team.

That is all.

Just to let you all know that later tonight I will taking a hot bath. Apparently after I submerge myself in the hot water I will lose my memory and forget that I ever signed up or posted here. Please know how much I like you all. I would love to say that I will miss you but if I can't remember ever being here I guess I won't be able to miss you all.
That is all :)

I took one after our brief morning recess- apparently I didn't stay there long enough! lol

Minor, Samuels testified about how pedophiles are often enabled by their families and hide their attraction to children and so on -- basically saying that it's no surprise that there's no proof that Travis was a pedophile. Can he do that?

I don't know how HLN with all their commercials isn't behind by hours, but I'm listening to Cnn and it's only about a couple of seconds behind. Amazing. I guess with all the sidebars they stay even.

This id like a freaking soap opera!!!!!!

How on earth can this not be considered pertinent to presenting this man's true intentions in this matter to this jury? He testified to her being depressed didn't he? Why can't the jury know the real reason why she was depressed and what this "witness" did in response.

Ridiculous.

MOO

It was during the break, after Juan objected to what Samuels was going to testify about - because it was different than what was submitted in Samuels' report. Juan had like 2 hours to conduct a deposition to inquire about the new information.

Ah that's right!! But I didn't think it was det. Flores who conducted it? I thought it was Juan? Or am I confused??

Michael Kiefer @michaelbkiefer

The objection is sustained. Martinez is conflating Arias feeling depressed with a diagnosis for which he provided therapy

One of Jodi's symptoms of "acute stress/PTSD/Sexual abuse survivor/Physical abuse survivor: Shaking THAT CAN'T BE SEEN BY THE HUMAN EYE.

Dr Samuels said 2 different things to the DT and State.

This is what that meeting was on Thursday was about.

Me too, but Juan wasn't going to get what he wanted, the good Dr. said No when asked if he gave therapy.

Of course he did- he was sitting right there- they should have had him out of the room!

This is nothing more than a HUGE waste!! What does any of this have to do with the murder of Travis Alexander?!?

ITA -- Seems to me, this would be more appropriate for the sentencing phase of the trial...

But -- the good thing about it is that JM will be all over him soon, soon, soon!! Lickin' his chops.

Wonder who it was that asked Samuels to talk to Jodi about her depression? Is he employed by the State? My nephew is a psychiatrist and is employed by the State of Louisiana. I would think if she were having a problem, someone employed with the State or under contract with the State would have to see her. And he gave her his card? I am not following this well.
I want to know Samuels circumstances of involvement with JA :please:
