I would have loved to see Jeff Ashton put as much energy into taking on the CA case as he put into making a name in the press.

IMO - would not have made a difference. :twocents:

That's not a "U" and it's not scientific. That's a blob. Can we move on?

Can lies be formed in this dissociative state??

What I don't get is why they continue with Samuels after it's been made clear that he's a loser psychologist.

Someone Please enlighten me as to why the DT feels that this diagnosis of PTSD is so freaking important! I am just not getting this.

Because they have a person that murdered another person in cold blood, complete with pictures and they have no defense so they are grasping at straws.

I also don't get why we are spending so much time with this PTSD BS. Isn't that a mitigating factor to be discussed after sentencing?

The only thing I can figure here is that they are trying to establish why JA can not (will not actually) testify about the stabbing and clean up. A lot of time spent trying to justify why she is pretending not to remember.

I'm watching live stream without sound and I hope the jury has been watching JA.
When Juan was up she has a completly difference look on her face then when JW is up. She is not capable of having puppy dog eyes when Juan is up there, she can only shoot daggers and roll her eyes but when JW is up she looks so sad boohoo.

Dr says the more traumatic the event the more memory loss (I think I missed this part)

back to the graph . . . memory function under duress over time . . . (inverted bellshaped curve) . . . .the research has not yet given us the answerof where exactly lose and retain memory . .
the bottom of the u shape . . . memory is not being formed . . .eventually long term memory s not being formed . . . a week or 2 weeks down the road the person may not remember during that period of acute stress . . .

is that considerered long term memory 2 weeks later?
no that is intermediate memory - long term is a few weeks out
short term memory is forgetting a phone number after ou have dialed

if a person is having acute stress are they functioning?
that experience is not transferred to long term memory

while in those couple of minutes a person is able to recall they will remember but a couple of minutes of acute stress trying to recall weeks later that is the portion that will be lost

so . . . thank you

The defense is trying to tie JA's failure to remember what happened after "the gun went off" to PTSD. :moo:

PTSD and DV - is the whole of the defense that he was killed in self defense v murdered. The FOGGGGGGGG because of PTSD. It was bogus from the get go, now it's on record that she did NOT have PTSD.

Why, where, how the fog? If not PTSD?

IMO, JA breaks the mold of any defined disorder; she is in a league of her own.

In the end, does it really matter what kind of disorder she may have?

Bottom line is this woman has no morals, no conscience and has savagely murdered a man she knew well.

I have no doubt in my mind that she is capable of killing again.
She definitely tips the scales at the darker end of my personal psychopathy spectrum. She flat out terrifies me.

So I agree - she is beyond dangerous, is very likely to kill again - and it really doesn't matter what flavor her psychopathy is. But I do believe its human nature to attempt to explain what is so innately foreign to us as empathetic beings too.

Something stinks here, is this possibly a way to get a mistrial?? Samuels incompetence cannot be for real. these tree stooges are up to something.

:what: You just gave me a bit of a heart attack right there. Can people actually, purposely throw a trial? Is that an actual strategy used by Defense Teams when they are up against an impossible case to win? Anyone?

JW's voice is irritating. I would have difficulty listening to her in one of her law classes. She sounds childish and whiney. :moo:

So she was only in severe stress when she was actually stabbing TA. Not when she shot him.

Me, too. Seems like it could be important in the penalty phase, but the trial is about the CRIME. Give me a break.

Jodi shot, stabbed and butchered an innocent showering man because he wanted her OUT OF HIS LIFE. No doubt she was psychologically affected. WTF cares what she did afterward?
