I thought Juan already stated something to the affect that the prosecution did not or won't deny Travis had sex with her that fateful day... IMO it may be because the photo's tell that particular story and cannot be proved otherwise.. even IF she could have set the timer for her crudee <eek> shots... however without solid proof on the contrary, may as well go along with it since it still shows the truth that JA was using sex to get and keep her man regardless :twocents:

I only saw on HLN photos from that day (just prior to murder) where they were each individually "posing" for each other? Were there actual pictures of them engaged in sexual activity?

I do agree this is a moot point in the grand scheme of this trial, and I'm sure I'd have the nerve to drunkenly confront someone I thought was crossing the line with my boyfriend but JA wasn't drunk and she is supposed to be, per her psychologist, a chronic pacifist with low self esteem incapable of sticking up for herself... She didn't have liquid courage working for her then and the confrontation was the next day so really a normal person would probably talk it out with their boyfriend and get over it (especially because the incident, even when described by JA was not a big deal, imo). It could serve to show a few things about JA but in the end it's not really anything revolutionary... She was jealous and confrontational, I think that's clear! :)
MOO!

Good point. It does go against Doc Samuels assertions that she is a nonassertive pacifist with low self esteem. She was actually a jealous, Diva Bi-otch. I am hoping the jury already realizes what a crock of chit that 'diagnosis' is.

I have just spent the last hour and a half talking about this case with my mother. Ladies and Gents.....if there are people on the jury like her, this will not turn out good. She just can't fathom JA pulling off this murder (her dragging TA down the hall mostly) OMG I wanted to drag her!
I finally just had to get off of the phone :furious:

Can I come and stay at your house? Even if you ask me to leave? I'll sleep under your Christmas tree....or hide in your closet? :floorlaugh:

eeeeewwww!!

Try not to take anything from HLN seriously- it's a tv network that depends on controversy for ratings. If they had voted unanimously in favor of guilt, there's no show. No ratings, no point.

All that matters is what happens in real-time court. Judging by their 1st batch of questions that were dripping with skepticism and sarcasm, this jury isn't stupid. DP guaranteed? Don't know. JA supporters? No way.

Well said.

OK I've tried to transcribe some more of Clancy's appearance on NG in case someone is not able to watch it.

3 months after Jodi met Travis, Travis had an event at his house. Jodi comes in and announced to the entire room of about 30 people that she was Travis' girlfriend friend. Travis fired back that she is not his girlfriend. That they just went on a couple of dates. There was a apparently another girl in the room that he was already seriously dating!

Then Travis told her there was not enough room at the house to stay. She needed to leave. Clancy and a friend was staying in Travis' room. Travis was staying in his office. He told Jodi there was not room for her at the house but Jodi didn't leave. Instead she slept under his Christmas Tree.

Jodi testified that she slept on the couch and was holding his hand when in fact Travis was not even near her. He was in his office and she was sleeping under his tree.

Clancy saw Jodi the day after she killed Travis.

Clancy was with Ryan when Jodi called to make a bunch of excuses as to why she wasn't there.

Showed up the next day with dark hair and long sleeve sweater in 100 degree heat.

Gave Clancy a hug which creeped her out.

Jodi had bandages all on her hands.

Left restaurant early, Clancy feels Jodi felt Travis would be found and Jodi just didn't want to be around all of his friends when the news hit.

Clancy is pushing for people to please donate to this family. They do not ask for anything. Please donate to this family.

You caught a lot in your transcription. Thank You.

Why wasn't Clancy used as a witness for the Prosecution?

Yeah, go back and listen, it's pretty solid.

LOL! Will have to see if I have the stomach for it....still can't get the image of Jodi on all fours out of my head!!

You know how you can see shapes in clouds?

HLN is in the business of providing entertainment. This retina thing is wild and OF COURSE they put it on...

We here at websleuths are willing to look at every possibility and rule out nothing. We do some brainstorming and trot out every opinion at one time or another.

It has value--in brainstorming you encourage people to bring forth everything they can think of and the best ideas rise to the surface.

My eyeroll was because this theory, "retina thing", has been around WS for weeks and NG is just now playing it tonight. It's been debunked and not possible.

It's one thing to have theories and opinions here, but when NG makes it national news, as if it's factual, during a trial, just astounds me. But, HLN is for entertainment. Unfortunately, some people don't view it as such. When HLN has attorneys on their show, people reporting from the courtroom, some viewers may take them serious.

JA is the sole murderer. There weren't two attackers. Hope others don't run with it.

I want the "Property of Juan Martinez" matching set.

JM: Would you like a set in blue?

Me: I'd like a set in pink.

JM: Did I ask you if you'd like a set in pink?

Me: No, sir. Can I say you're kind of hot?

JM: Sure, Sure....

Well, to me these little HLN juries are deciding on seperate factors, so a 10-2 isn't that concerning. What I'm hoping is that the real jury looks at everything collectively, including the aggravating factors. The things like the flowers, the voice mails, the lies about pedophilia, domestic abuse, PTSD, and the total manipulation of the system in a desperate attempt at self-preservation at the victim's expense.

BBM

Very well said. Those things are infuriating. I HOPE the jury does realize the pedophilia carp is BS. How could they not? But I do know ONE person who actually believes it. :furious:

This person who believes it is related to my sons fiance. Since we are all planning their upcoming wedding together, I cannot dare argue with her about it. So I sit in an awkward silence.

Yes, we are done now. You took a case where the crown (LE?) screwed up and you presented it as the norm for Canada's legal system. It is not the norm. It was a f up, and you used that to say Canada isn't "tough enough" with our legal system, by using that example. How about using an example like the Victoria Stafford case???? All I'm saying is, don't use a screwed up case to say Canada has weak sentencing laws. Thank you. Peace.

Nope...still don't agree with you. I didn't present it as a norm...an example...yes. But more importantly, I don't need to agree with you and you don't need to agree with me! Differences in opinion make the world go round. Being respectful of each other's opinions means that one does not need to beat someone over the head with their own. :rocker:

And in other news...I feel bad for the lady who threw up in court. I hope she is feeling better!:seeya:

People in my family (male) feel the same way. A big reason why I am nervous.

I am surrounded by very opinionated people, it can be tough.

Yeah, that reflection in Travis' eye segment was lame. Puhleeeeeeze!!!!!!

So true! Lame and irresponsible!!

Is this case not tragic enough? For me the actual facts, such as the prosecution as presented them, are dramatic and tragic enough that we don't need to find "clues" in every corner.

Everyone should have complete faith in Juan Martinez! If it was there to be discovered, he would have discovered it. The rest of this is just for ratings.

This question is for you and Rosemary,
Are these people who have watched the actual trial or people who are following the case in the news?

Does anyone know if JM had the option today to ask more questions? If so, did he decline? Also, in the State of Arizona, what order do they go? State or Defense goes first in final? TIA

One of the key elements to an obsession is accessibility ... I think that is what it was about Travis which fed into Jodi's ability to stalk him, it seems she would have stalked other men as well if they had let her, but they cut her off, Travis with his open house / open arms policy to people in general allowed Jodi in to the point where her obsession was able to grow to dangerous levels. The more I think about this case the more I believe that, she found an available victim in him. It could have been anyone, but other men felt more threatened and took steps to keep her at arms length.
