Juan Martinez has a very successful record. He has won many death penalty cases. He's very aware of what jurors like and don't like. He has had decades to learn and tweak his style. Judging by his record jurors dig him!

Agreed .... I dig him too !!!

When I was previously married my husband had a stalker. She had threatened to "get rid" of me and our boys. We had to call 911 frequently because she would show up at our door in a coat and nothing underneath and refuse to leave. She monitored when I was home or at work. One night she managed to get into our home when my husband and our son were asleep on the floor in front of the TV and frightened our children cursing and screaming obscenities. The police didn't take our calls seriously or do anything. She was an old girlfriend and did this for years. My husband was a psychiatrist and well known. Even when we moved hundreds of miles away she managed to still call and threaten and disrupt things for him at work. Threatened to harm us. When we found out he had stage 4 Lymphoma we discovered she had died. She made our lives hell. Truly frightening people. The police didn't take her seriously.

TartLemon...it's the same thing in every trial. All is takes is one juror to get a hung jury but most of the time juries do get it right. I'm convinced that due to the overwhelming evidence in this case that this jury will convict JA of first-degree murder. The only real discussion they might have is whether to sentence her to life in prison or death.

BBM

Again Rose :seeya: ......I agree with you.
I will have to say that i'm not a strong believer in the death penalty but the only reason I would want it for someone is because they will have to spend 23 hours in their cell and pretty much be isolated from everyone. If they have Life in prison-I believe it is pretty much like being in general pop.

I talked to a doctor friend of mine who's a psychiatrist & teaches at UTSAHSC in San Antonio (med school)--I asked him if our brain acts like Samuels posited during acute stress--that memories don't implant and we have amnesia for the stressful event

He said he doesn't agree with that on a simple biological level since that would mean that if an animal is confronted by a predator and escapes, but can't remember the incident, that animal will make the same mistakes again since it cannot learn from the incident. AND he doesn't believe there is amnesia as Jodi has presented it.

I'm on the 'Jodi is guilty' train. She should never see the light of day outside prison walls. IMO, this is a learning curve for a very dangerous woman. She WILL kill again if released.

JM obviously doesn't take juries for granted and is doing a very thorough job of making his point. All it takes is ONE juror to think 'Hmmm...MAYBE....' This case is not in the guilty bag by any means. I can only hope they see what I see.

Agreed...fact of the matter is that we simply do not know what is inside each jurors head and until that final vote is taken and a verdict agreed upon in that juror room we wont know...

Looking at the last headshot of Travis in the shower. I'm convinced that the killer had pulled out her weapons at that point. He looks like he's afraid for his life. I used to have a shower just like Travis' and is no way that even I (a petite woman) would voluntarily sit down there. It would be claustrophobic and just plain uncomfortable.

Travis would have never sat down in there (to relax or whatever) especially with JA (a woman he was increasingly weary of) around. He was forced at gunpoint. I think JA used the gun to threaten Travis. Simply showing him the knife wouldn't do. Had that been the case Travis would have opened the shower door himself and tried to wrestle the knife out of her hands. He would have had the upper hand.

I think the killer brought the gun in order to corner Travis and also as a back up in case the knife thing didn't finish him off. So Travis was forced to sit down. I think she stabbed him when he was in that most vulnerable of positions. I don't agree that she first stabbed him when he came out of the shower towelling himself. Why would she have asked him to sit if she did not want to attack him at that point? I don't know what exactly went off after that but I'm convinced she started stabbing him while he was sitting down in the shower.

I've never seen anyone more evil than she is. I have no sympathy for her whatsoever and I don't care if that makes me less 'good'. My heart overflows with love and compassion for Travis and family and I won't rest till the killer is convicted of first-degree murder.
There has been a lot of debate about which came first, the shot or the stabbing (even though the ME has explained the scientific evidence he used to conclude it was the stabbing). Those who disagree with him say it doesn't make sense that she would use the knife first when she she'd gone to the trouble of stealing a gun to that, I have two comments:

1). She is not a normal person...her logic and the logic of a reasonable person are two different things...maybe she wanted to kill him up close and personal so she brought a knife as her first choice and the gun as a backup option...maybe she started to worry that the gun would make too much noise.

Or

2). She did try to use the gun first but she dropped it or he saw it, struggled with her and knocked it out of her hands..it slid across the room and he scrambled for the gun, not realizing she had a knife too. In this scenario she stabs him as he's trying to get to the gun.

I know, anything's possible..just trying to offer an explanation that explains why she didn't just shoot him first.

Most of the photos I have a very hard time deciphering what I am looking at.
You are all so much better at it than me.
I have YET to see Jodi's leg.

Let's see if I can attach this. If not, I'll have to upload it to Photobucket and send you a PM. Can you see her leg and foot now? She's wearing black socks and you can see her right foot; TA's right foot looks very tiny due to the perspective. A WS'r did a photo re-creation and showed just how small a foot looks from that perspective.

Here's something to think about:

From another forum.
[snip]

Think about. Jodi claims she cannot remember stabbing Travis. Jodi claims that she cannot remember dragging Travis back into the shower stall.

Could it be that Jodi is not implicating an accomplice ... an accompice that would leave no doubt in the minds of the jury that the murder of Travis was premeditated.

I could be wrong but ... I think the maybe ... just maybe Matt McCarney will emerge as the star prosecution witness.

And the ironic conundrum here (if true) is, she CAN'T throw this person under the bus without implicating herself in a premeditated visit to Travis'.

I was stalked before any laws were around in fact before the word "stalked" were in use (1973). Nothing were available to me for help other than move.
It was just a horrible feeling to know that another human being could invade you life and nothing can be done except "move".

Stalking is so serious as serious as abuse. After my experience, I consider stalking a form of abuse. I felt abused, invaded, controlled, isolated, and down right pissed off. If that made sense.

Thank you for let me share my story.

Respectfully snipped by me.

And even moving doesn't always solve the problem. Read this:

http://www.today.com/id/46202443/ns/today-today_news/t/woman-stalked-years-i-dont-think-its-over/

And this:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ed-stalker-hunted-victim-18-years-states.html

Reading just those two cases makes me realize that stalking definitely is a form of abuse.

I have just spent the last hour and a half talking about this case with my mother. Ladies and Gents.....if there are people on the jury like her, this will not turn out good. She just can't fathom JA pulling off this murder (her dragging TA down the hall mostly) OMG I wanted to drag her!
I finally just had to get off of the phone :furious:

Maybe Juan needs to call in an expert on adrenaline. :/

One other possibility - after stealing the weapon she decided to take it out in the woods and figure how to shoot it. It is possible that bloody finger shown in her June 1 photo did not happen at work but rather resulted from a slide pinch from the weapon. This of course is dependent on the fact she didn't really know how to properly use a semi auto weapon which function well enough if clean and properly oiled. Don't know how meticulous her Grandfather might have been about maintaining the weapon. It is possible she was just much more comfortable with a knife, i.e. food service background, slashed tires accomplished and who knows what else.

I saw a show this morning... a real good looking African American from Las Vegas. A limo driver... had a 21 yr old stripper stalker...
He went to LE and they LAUGHED AT HIM!!!

She killed him and herself and he had a wife and young daughter....

As a man... it must be hard to report such stuff..
JA recorded everything! She had TA by the *************** IMO

ETA: In fact I think her ************were bigger than his!

I am thankful you survived and went on to help others! The world needs more good people like you!

I hope LE will start to realize that men can be just as much at risk as women. I have two sons and I want them to have as much protection as everybody else.

I continue to be shocked by the daily (DAILY!!!) reports of female teachers having sex with their students. Those women are just predators as far as I'm concerned. If one of my son's teachers had done that to my son, she'd better hope her school district has a liberal policy of hiring the handicapped is all I can say.

Honest question...

Anyone else find themselves using their arms and hands more when asking questions, or explaining situations, with their colleagues or clients?

I've noticed that I'm picking up some of JM's mannerisms since I've watched so much of his crosses.

Don't know if this has been discussed, but I noticed there is a vacant looking lot across the street from Travis' Mesa home. Remember she said she parked the UHaul truck somewhere nearby? Wonder if that is where she parked the rental car as well on June 4? She says she was parked in the driveway, but with a 4:00am arrival, a murder, and an unnoticed departure, could be possible...

The site is filled with a bunch of suckers taken in by a pathological liar. They also had the casey anthony is innocent site, so I think it is just a big BS show.

I've heard that the person who runs both sites does it because he/she believes many people are railroaded by LE and the justice system.

That goes to show how people can let their "agenda" run away with them. Innocent people do get convicted. I read recently about a prosecutor who just had a third conviction overturned because of his misconduct. Those are the people this site operator ought to be working against. Casey and Jodi? The guilty don't need her help.

Rosemary: Just ask her what she would do if she came out of the house and saw you pinned under your car? Would she lift that car right off the ground to free you? Oh...wait...a couple of days before you ask. :floorlaugh:
