As much as I enjoy JM....I also want Dr.Samuels off the stand, I'm just so sick of him. Are there more juror questions?

Does anyone know if Alyce LaViolette is in the courthouse in case we get done with Dr. <mod snip>?

The information about Jodi's penchant for physical violence isn't going to help the domestic violence expert, that's for darn sure. Before the end of the trial, Juan will have established that Travis was the victim in the relationship and not Jodi.

It really can be a horribly painful experience to read the accounts of parents of psychopathic children. Sure, there are some parents who really don't give a damn but there are also those who do everything right, who try every treatment imaginable, set every limitation, and love their child to bits only to have that child abuse and mistreat them over and over again, psychologically, physically, emotionally and financially.

The family is very often the first victims, and learning curve, of psychopaths.

Beautifully said. I can't imagine the pain of having a child who did something so horrific.

That is why I will not trash Jodi's family. They aren't on trial.

Juan is a major tease, he nips, nips, nips with things like the changing scores and paperwork dates and then he lunges with a huge bite like this. You know there were some jury questions dropped in the jar once they heard about this physical violence of JA's.

You *know* there have been too many sidebars when HLN is able to catch up. LOL

It may be wishful thinking on my part but I believe all this waiting will make this jury come back with a verdict in a matter of hours!

jail noises woke her up OH NO REALLY WHAT A SHOCK

Sidebar so that JW can read?

OFFS - she asks for another SB before she sits down? Let me guess, she's trying to stall until the lunch break so she can try to rehabilitate the good Dr.?

MOO

The way Juan is writing down the list of PTSD checklist questions on his own paper on the overhead leads me to think there's gonna be a bomb dropped when Juan is finally able to finish this line of questioning.

Usually Juan puts up papers that Samuels has filled out ... This is Juan writing down each descriptor on the overhead projector.
Juan is getting ready to demonstrate the absurdity of Samuels testimony.
(if Wiilys calls for sidebars ever end)

Awww her personal space was invaded and she had no control over the lights in jail.

OK hardly any mattress, stupid non pillow and a blanket .. no wonder she couldn't sleep. Oh this isn't PTSD, this is just hating jail.

I'm sorry. Stick a fork in him. He's done.

awww poor thing-the lights in jail are too bright. Give me a break!

PLEASE - all these symptoms are of someone - anyone - being in jail. They have nothing to do with PTSD. What a joke!!

that is why she gets SO close to both JW and the mit. specialist when she chats....closeness scares her

I thought the answer to her PDS test stated that she had trouble sleeping but no nightmares???

There is a grim determination among parents of psychotic and sociopathic children. We will be patient. We will be supportive. We will not allow the cruelty and gawdawful behavior of our child to harden us or make us cold as parents.

I visited my son regularly when he was in prison and made every court appearance I could. I was a good parent to him from birth and that's my statement to the world. Do you understand?

Also - the chuckling is stress relief--gallows humor in horrifying circumstances

We, like you, are mystified about how the sociopathic child got that way while secretly there are tears and doubts that maybe you did something or didn't do something that wrecked him or her.

I always thought it was brain damage from being held in the birth canal too long waiting for the doctor to arrive (they did that in those days).

I feel sorry for her mother but no where near as sorry as I feel for Travis's family. I hope JA gets the death penalty and I am fairly sure her mother and aunt will be there then, too, so they can have the peace of knowing they did everything they could in their roles.

A very true post!!

Juan, please ask him if this is normal behavior for ANYONE in a jail setting.
