Samuels has turned into an advocate for JA. So out of line with what he was hired to do. His license should be suspended on his behavior alone.

No, no, no, Dr. Fog! You said she wasn't REALLY suicidal because she didn't have a "plan." That's why you didn't notify the jail.

Threatened suicide to manipulate people...and get attention

Weekend:

"Dr." Samuels: I can't believe this lawyer! The things he says to me! Me, with my 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE! He's making me look like a fool.

Mrs. Samuels (under her breath): There's a surprise.

Bingo! Many suicide threats over the years never acted upon.

She didn't think she was going to trial?!

One of the most common symptom of PTSD is startle response in both men and women!!!!

And its not just something that you even think about. It just happens A L L the time.

Someone will reach out to touch you in the middle of a conversation and you will jump back. Even if you have been there talking to a person you know and think is one of the nicest people ever. There is NO trust for anyone's intentions. No matter how innocent.

Whoops Samuels already said she was not planning suicide and that's why he didn't tell the jail

My word! Juan is still getting him on his tests.

I wish I could say maybe this guy will reconsider lying in court for a buck next time but like Gus, this guy does not learn from being spanked in a packed court room by Machine Gun Martinez. If this guy can get work after this, he will continue.

During that last lengthy sidebar, I was able to get 4 cookie sheets full of cookies (for hubby's latest care package) into the oven. This trial is insane!

Overwhelming thoughts but NOT suicidal? What?

  • #1,095
Haven't posted much but wanted to thank you all for your posts as I have trouble keeping up and often miss things. I love watching JM turn these witnesses inside out.

I have always wondered why Travis Alexander did not send a SOS email, text, phone call to a friend alerting someone that Arias was at his house. If this would have happened, two of Travis' friends could have stopped by his house on June 4 at 1pm to pick Travis up for his 'meeting.' Travis Alexander may not have known that Arias was going to murder him - but Travis Alexander could have known that he did not want Arias at his house, called / texted / emailed a friend saying something such as, "Have a girl at my house - Need an excuse to get out - Come over to pick me up for the "meeting" we need to go to - Thanks - See you soon - Seriously this is important I need to get out of my house."

Sorry, I am so behind--regular life interrupting and all.

The reason Travis Alexander did not contact anyone on June 4th during the many hours he was there (assuming he had some freedom during that time) is because telling anyone that Jodi was he would be risking that information getting back to the bishop, which would constitute a violation of the probation in the Mormon church.

I have been asked by mods to leave out talk about religion, so I won't explain this further.

Suicidal thoughts since her teenage years. But this is the only time it counts, after she killed Travis.
