The jury needs to stand up and say BS.

Lying isn't lying. Dr. Samuels says so.

Her lies are a psychological defense mechanism...

  • #1,165
Exactly, lying is a defense mechanism. No matter how you slice it Mr. Psychologist.

  • #1,166
telling an untruth is a psycological defense mechanism to shield the person from reality....so mush easier to say Liar Liar pants on fire!

  • #1,167
Um....but she admitted on the stand that she lied to deflect guilt from her.

  • #1,168
He wouldn't characterize it as lying? Then what is it, story-time with 48 Hours?

  • #1,169
A psychological defense mechanism? Even Jodi admitted she lied to everyone.

Multiple personality?? Mmhhmm...someone needs a big reality check and maybe try reading some journals from the last 20 years??

  • #1,171
Thanks Doctor...you have made yourself look sufficiently absurd. You may step down now.

Alternative UNIVERSE! There are days I want one of those! :floorlaugh:

And its not just something that you even think about. It just happens A L L the time.

Someone will reach out to touch you in the middle of a conversation and you will jump back. Even if you have been there talking to a person you know and think is one of the nicest people ever. There is NO trust for anyone's intentions. No matter how innocent.

Kelly

It's been over 16 years since I was last hit/beat but I still react like this frequently :( ppl who talk with their hands and arms can easily freak me out even tho it is someone I know and care about...I guess these reactions will never go away :(

She ADMITTED that they were lies...not an alternate reality....she said she LIED and she explained WHY she lied (not that I believe those lies either)! Good grief....

Alternative universe...hmmm..DC comics made an alternative universe called Bizarro world...I wonder if that is where Jodi spaces out to?

I believe the doctor on this.

Her affect IS blunted. He caught on that she did not act the way a normal person would act after killing someone or who lost a loved one.

Right...anti-social flat affect.

Yeah, okay, Doc.

Her 48-hours interview was based on lies - lies she made up to cover her tracks. She was not living in an alternate reality.

In that interview, she stated that Travis was the reason she was there, and there wasn't a reason to be sad. So...smile and say cheese.

Pure Psycho!
