No testimony today.

I don't give a flip what she looks like or what her own personal philosophies are. I do care, very much, that she validate male victims of domestic abuse every bit as much as their female counterparts.

My concern, after reading several of her papers and watching a few of her keynote speeches, is that she does show bias towards female victims. In reality, a good 90% of DV victims are women - but it won't help men to come forward if even advocates won't fully concede they can be every bit as abused or victimized, and sometimes even more so, than females.

I have to question, as an advocate, how she could seemingly ignore very common abusive characteristics Jodi has displayed but I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I would bet my whole allowance for next week she's coming to the stand with much less information on this case than she'll need.

Hummmmmmmmmm that is really interesting!
One of the TH's made a comment Friday, that she (this witness), and JM had already butted heads.

  • #1,644
Hey guess what! Not a talk show...peddle your book somewhere else.

  • #1,645
This is going to be repulsive.

  • #1,646
I hope her testimony is milky... that she doesn't swear that Jodi has been abused by Travis. There is no proof that any of it happened, only words of a liar.

  • #1,647
ITA. This sounds like another one paid to tailor testimony to fit the DT's story. Liar for hire?

I'm sorry I don't care about her credentials; the fact that she would testify in this case for the sociopathic murderer who butchered a human being, makes her less than credible. i dont' think any self-respecting expert would testify in this case. that's how i see it.

  • #1,648
Ok here we go. She was asked by an attorney why a battered woman would kill and stay with an abuser. As if she is qualified to testify about that?? I know she has her opinion, but how could she possible know??

Dear Judge,

The State is willing to accept the doctor's CV in the interest of time.

Sincerely,
Mr. Juanderful

I think that Juan will handle ALV differently than Dr. S. I don't know how, but she has a totally different personality.

  • #1,651
Ok, I kinda like this lady.

*ducking from rotten tomatoes*

  • #1,652
Who would she have consulted on in 1984?

Here's the getting paid again...

Juan is going to tear her apart

  • #1,653
Why she stayed? JA? Stayed where? If she had "stayed" away, Travis would be alive today.

  • #1,654
Well if she did would the defence be putting her on the stand? Unlikely.

MOO

I'm hoping that, with a little help from Juan, she'll see the light.

  • #1,655
they are going to cut her off.. done for the day

I agree, Tabasco. I can't wait to see what Juan's approach will be.
