Love of the law and constitution & right to a vigorous defense DOES NOT & SHOULD NOT give the DT permission to persecute the victim or present allegations made by the defendant as the truth. The rules and laws that prevented Jodi's past history of stalking and Fatal Attraction like behaviors from being admitted in the trial should apply for Travis and everyone else.

AMEN. They can slander people all they want and nothing can be done about it. What a great arrangement.... Just shrug "just doing my job".

If the jury knows all the facts and lies like we do, she will. ;)

My husband thinks so too. I used to agree...now I think she's getting the needle.

Your speculation ?? So you made it up? :giggle:

Umm - although I may have used the word 'speculation' - but I don't recall saying that without looking at my notes - your interpretation of 'speculation' may not be my interpretation as a professional poster of over 1000 posts - in my years of experience as an expert speculator, I may have made it up, yes.

JA was 17 when she moved out. I remember her testimony. She said her father tried to ground her until she was 18 which was for the next 2 months, and she made the decision to move out. The error (surprise surprise) was last night on HLN when Vinnie said to JC that JA moved out when she was 17 and JC said no it was 15.

Do we know any details on this foreign exchange trip to Costa Rica and "Victor Arias?" Crazy, this story. At my high school, it was a BIG HONOR if you were selected to be a foreign exchange student. And it was only for junior and seniors. Wouldn't she have been a sophomore? That's a little young for this. TIA! :seeya:

I was agreeing with you also! Just another perspective meaning the exact same thing!

I think unknowingly her parents helped her with thinking she could leave and come back, push and pull peoples emotions to her advantage. They were a soft sell.

The one thing about JA I think stands out the most is that every boyfriend she supposedly broke up with. They never broke up with her. Its impossible in my head. Her behaviors are so off, no one can take it for long. It takes a really special person to be able to live with it. Add in the fact that every single one of them cheated on her. She had to have a reason why she wasn't good enough when they broke up with her, it had to be other women. Someone who is always looking for reasons to 'not be good enough' don't normally break up with people no matter the reason. The relationship is buidling self esteem, somebody wants you. IMHO.

Kelly

EXACTLY. JA wants everybody to believe that men can't just help themselves, they all want her. They were practically beating down her door for dates. But they all cheated on her....WHY? "It wasn't me, it was them." SURE.

This trial should be called 50 shades of crazy.

Had a thought... if Jodi was "suicidal", she would have been on suicide watch. Period.

So take that Dr. $ !

Not if no one knew about it, apparently neither Dr. S nor her attorney took it seriously (or cared) enough to report it to the prison. Which I think is funny by the way, and somewhat telling.

Hi all - I stumbled on the JA trial after watching 48 hours locally (in Australia). It really piqued my interest and so I looked it up and realised that the case was ongoing…. As it turns out, the case is.. 'THE CASE', and I got hooked

<respectfully snipped by me>

:welcome:
gtreat first post-look forward to reading more:seeya:

I know it is frustrating but it is worth pointing out that this entire Trial is an e ercersize in Travis' rights. That's what we're doing here. Redressing the fact that his rights were violated by the defendant. When people get upset about the money being spent on the trial, what they are actually saying is that Travis' death isn't worth this kind investment in justice.

I have much respect for defense attorneys. IMO they love the law and the constitution. It's not about if they're defending the guilty or an innocent. It's about the process. Everyone is entitled to a vigorous defense, everyone. The state must prove their case. beyond a reasonable doubt and if another scenario is plausible ... The state didn't prove its case. It's a tough job, I couldn't do it... But I have the upmost respect for those that do.

Linda, love your posts, yet respectfully, the state is not done. RE BUTT AL!!!!!!! as to proving it's case IMHO for your consideration. :seeya: And I do agree on your viewpoint that many that defend ANYONE have passion for the constitution. I could not do it, analogous that I could not be a CPA and do numbers all day! (I know, baaaaaaaaaad analogy, but best one that fits with something I've thought of) :what:

Yet I do admire any and ALL folks that follow their passion in life which many of us cannot understand or put ourselves in their place to even fathom how they do what they do. To me, I would not be able to live with myself or hold my head up to others...........but they should.

While we do here support the victim Travis, it gets lost in the weeds this passion for defending all - and many cannot fathom how someone can defend one who they may believe is guilty. Myself included. I cannot comprehend, but good that there are others that do so that the constitution if fulfilled and followed.

I just posted a little earlier that I highly doubt the entire story, like everything else she says, it makes no sense. I would like to see proof, pictures, etc. I personally think she made the whole thing up.

IF JA ever wore my clothes, I would never wear them again. I would not even give them away. I would throw them away. Just the thought of JA makes me so mad.

I find her court wardrobe interesting because I cannot see the jail storing that many different outfits for JA. She must get a new supply every week and sign out the old stock to whomever is bringing her clothes.

When I worked in a jail defendants had one clothing bag and we did not wash their court outfits. They got the bag every morning and got dressed and at the end of the day their court clothes went back into the bag. They could get new clothes but they had to sign some of the old stuff out. We weren't in the business of being a laundry service or a clothing warehouse.

That's right! Doc $ stated he only dealt with "male inmates" that are suicidal.

I call BS; she wasn't suicidal. She was seeking attention. Typical behaviour for her.

Not if no one knew about it, apparently neither Dr. S nor her attorney took it seriously (or cared) enough to report it to the prison. Which I think is funny by the way, and somewhat telling.

The jury heard about her stalking behavior and tire slashing. It came in through both Mimi and the blonde haired girl he dated.

The defense, in this case, are working with what their client put forth as the truth. Their hands are tied and IMO it shows.

But Jodi was never questioned about these allegations. As to the allegations Jodi and her DT have made in court there has been no witness's or evidence to support these charges. To accuse someone of being a pedophile, IMO, there needs to be corroborating evidence before it can be utilized as part of anyone's strategy.

I am just now watch the Dr. Drew show from last night.

Mark Eiglarsh just said the crime scene clearly illistrates self-defense. Travis was trying to defend HIMSELF from a vicious attack. WOW!!

Knife first, forensically and logically, is more difficult for me to get to, I'm in the gun first camp, so would love to hear your thoughts, I just haven't heard enough up to now to get me from gun first.

I've been doing some research on head gunshot wounds, there are several stories of people moving around right after, not for long after to be sure but we only have 62 seconds we are talking about. The reason people have been able to move is consistently due to the part of the brain that is hit, and whether it is one or both sides of the brain.

I have a question - I missed the very beginning of this trial. Did not see the ME testify.

Why is there discrepancy as to the gun vs. knife first theory? Is it solely based on expert ME testimony vs. lying liar that lies saying the gunshot happened first?

Oh my gawd, Just now on HLN news they ran a story about how doctors have connected COLD SORES to memory loss!!! I googled and found several articles about it published in the last few hours, or day or so. I sure hope the <mod snip> has already checked *out* of this and JW is too busy planning her & JA's twinsies outfits to notice! Can you imagine if they would throw this at the wall in her defense, lmao. (insert pic of JA's big red festering herp blister here)

And since they wanted us to believe that she was suicidal when speaking on 48hours, why someone didn't. It just bolsters their strategy. IMHO.

Its weird that they didn't to me.
