I'm glad Samuels is off the stand, but something he said yesterday infuriates me and proves just how biased and incompetent he really is.

He was talking about Jodi's anger towards her mother getting worse after her incarceration.

I'd like to know how much worse it could have been, considering Jodi allegedly slapped and kicked her mother before she went to jail.

What did she do...reach through the phone and strangle her mother :what:

Makes no sense...

Judge Karen said Juan crossed the line in saying doc had feelings for Jodi and I don't think he did. He has shown his poor decisions in regards to how and why he scored her test and they show bias and feelings and I know I'm not the only one in here.

When the defendant claims self-defense doesn't the burden of proof rest on the Defense?

As it has been said of JA " In every lie there is some truth" So now we have a
picture of a cute little boy in the arms of his father and his is wearing the "
Spidey briefs". So is this the one that "fluttered" from his bed that fit so well in her story? And how cruel was it to send 20 Irises to his Grandmother when
TA was 20 when his Dad died?!! :furious:

That picture is compelling. And remember too, that JA said in testimony that she thought TA's affinity to Spidey was because of a little boy he had been close to? Grrr... :furious::furious::furious::furious:

Knox is innocent -- the subject of a corrupt prosecution and police force that tampered with forensic evidence. It should have never been overturned. I pray the US doesn't extradite if she is reconvicted by that lynch mob in Florence.

Disagree. She's obviously guilty. Sorry o/t

i don't think that's why she's lying about the knife attack. she's lying about it because it's the most horrific, awful aspect of this murder. she will never admit to remembering having that knife in her hand (except for dropping it) because it makes her sound like the monster we know she is and puts that picture of her stabbing him in the minds of the jury.

it's been a plan from the beginning to deny any memory of using a knife----a very calculated move on the part of the defense. it distances her from those autopsy photos and that's what they want.

ITA with everything you said. Self Defense with the gun was put in place years ago. A gun sounds more like self-defense, not 29 stab wounds and a slit throat.

This woman's only article on "abused males" was an attempt to downplay the abuse. She is extremely biased in favor of females. She hates men with a purple rage and everyone will agree with me once her direct is over with.

I imagine you might be right about that. I think if you do that kind of work and day in, day out for 30+ years 99% of what you hear is a male abusing a female, it would have to skew your feelings towards males in general.

The age matches up too. She said the boy in the picture looked 5 years-old and so does Travis in that picture. Jodi is a sick puppy.

I think Jodi no longer "trusting men" will be brought by ALV.
And I think her going on a camping trip presumably in the middle of nowhere with several men, as the lone female in the group, will go a very long way to discredit it.

:twocents: constant sidebars, delays, general lack of control and professionalism in the courtroom ~LL

OK...hypothetical question since the topic of root canals makes me think of this case.

If you could choose to eliminate ONE element of this trial by having a root canal, despite you not really needing one, which would you get rid of?

(i) constant sidebars, delays, general lack of control and professionalism in the courtroom
(ii) listening to Nurmi and more sex talk with his slow and deliberate style/delivery
(iii) listening to Arias talk about anything
(iv) watching Arias do anything at the defense table (i.e., popping pills, draw, whisper like a middle schooler to Willmott)

If I missed it, forgive me, but why hasn't JM brought up the fact that JA wrote in her own blog, in her own words, that she gave up belief in the Law Of Attraction approximately six months before she killed TA? That would be HUGE regarding her claim that all of the negative stuff really happened but she intentionally didn't write about it because of the Law of Attraction?

I see what your saying and in fact signed the petition on change.org that Samantha Alexander said a friend started to change the laws allowing unsubstantiated claims about the victim into trial.

IMO if the general public wasn't so flipping STUPID and understood their constitutional rights and the role of the prosecutor and the role of the defense there would be no need.

I hope Juan interrupts and asks to approach every 2 minutes--JW needs a taste of her annoying medicine!

I know he won't, though. At least one lawyer there is professional. Go Juan!:rocker:

Sorry but no, seeing her face just skeeves me more than I can say. Not a serious issue with me but I definitely don't like seeing JA on this forum in an avatar. JMHO. (humble) :)

You left out the part where you looked at Webster's definition of speculation, which you agree with, only you don't agree with it, because you have your own definition, based on your experience with those 1000 posts as an expert speculator, which means something different to you, except when it doesn't.

Riiiight! But, I don't use Websters. I have my own dictionary in my brief case - somewhere - if you will just give me a chance to find it. Mine was written in 1710, when I started my illustrious education as an expert poster. :blushing:

What the doctor testified to is that there were 3 fatal injuries, stab to heart, slash to neck, and shot to head. Of the 3, the slash to neck was most immediately fatal, followed by the head, then the heart, he was simply placing them in order of most immediately fatal. Hope to watch cross today before 1:30.

In the meantime, here's a link comparing and contrasting both sides, gun first vs knife first, does a nice job on one page...

http://www.hlntv.com/article/2013/01/22/what-really-killed-travis-alexander

Thanks , VALee,

That was a very helpful link.

Seems to me the State may be stuck with the shot first since the detective as well as Dr. Horn agreed that was probably first, and that is on record.

That allows the Defense to use Self -defense as Jody "tried" to make it work, by saying the gun was already in the house and that is where she got it to "defend herself".

"premeditation" would mean she HAD to bring the gun with the INTENT to kill.

I think that is why Mark I. said " the prosecution has to prove she brought the gun" or Premeditation is ALL circumstantial.

I saw that. So Juan crossed the line, but accusing Travis of being a child molester isn't crossing a line? I know, I know, you can't really compare the two, but it infuriates me. :furious:
