Important fact, so far, there hasn't been any reported stories of Travis being physically violent; whereas, we have several stories on record that show Jodi using physical violence and verbally trashing her family members. Add that dog story, and Jodi is clearly the physically aggressive one in this case.

What Travis said to Jodi, IMO, had to be direct and often the rude truth. He wanted to call her on her manipulations, and in the end he just wanted Jodi to leave him alone.

Yup. And Juan already asked JA if she lied to ALV re: the pedophilic pictures being on a computer (JA changed her story to photograph since no images were found on Travis' computer).

I can't be sure, but I think ALV will not like being lied to and used to get off a pre-med murder charge. She IS a woman who is devoted to stopping violence.

Actually, I think Matt McCartney was supposed to be the DT's star witness. That didn't quite go as planned. So, you go with what you've got! :blushing:

I like this witness, and she definitely knows what she's talking about in terms of all the various forms of abuse. I am really eager to hear how she relates this to Travis and Jodi. I would be surprised if she makes a flat out conclusion that Travis was an abuser -- maybe she'll couch it as Travis having more power in the relationship and Jodi's perception. A lot of what she will be relying on will be what Jodi has relayed to her, but there are other pieces of evidence besides Jodi's word that she can point to as well.

For example, Travis not wanting Jodi to spend time at Rachel's, Travis joking about why Jodi would want to spend time with her family, telling her not to write things in her journal, the names Travis called her and ultimately telling her she's the worst thing that ever happened to her, Travis getting mad at her for hanging out with John "" because he was not in the church, etc. Those are all things that can be found in her journals or in the text messages between Travis and Jodi.

And I hate to say it, but those behaviors of Travis' are unhealthy behaviors and are not appropriate in a romantic relationship. Obviously, the healthy thing to do would be for Travis to leave the relationship if he was unhappy with Jodi's behaviors. Travis did have more power in the relationship, but that does not mean he was abusive -- especially in this situation because Jodi was constantly doing the passive aggressive stuff to hurt Travis and sabotage his life.

I'm not particularly worried because there are so many behaviors of Jodi's that Juan can ask her about that clearly fall within her continuum. And besides that, there's nothing that remotely would cause Jodi to fear for her life when she murdered Travis.

ALV can't discuss Travis. It was ruled on at a previous hearing. What she is doing now is explaining what DV is and not in relationship to anyone? I think JW will ask her questions about abuses Jodi has stated. I think JM will do the same regarding what we know Travis experienced without mentioning his name. Frankly, Jodi's journals mean nothing. By Travis' text message she did something and I bet we are about to find out what exactly she did to make him that mad. Not sure how you leave a relationship when you are in your own home and she keeps finding ways to get into the home. jmo

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if later on down the road we don't find out that JA has been one of those undiscovered serial killers. She's starting to remind me of Jeffrey Dahmer. Although, I kind of felt sorry for him. HE wasn't a big fat liar like JA and owned up to everything he did.

.....and Oh Yea, physical abuse to the tune of 28 STAB WOUNDS, BULLET TO THE HEAD AND A SLASHED THROAT! I know I missed more, but I would say that Mr. M has a good start on cross.:jail:

I didn't know that, I just had two small grandchildren diagnosed with epilepsy. And just got a call from my daughter, My granddaughter is on life support. The dr's are giving her 20% survival.

Reading here to keep my mind busy.

I came in late and haven't checked to see if the dressing alike thing was talked about earliler.....really? The whole defense team? Is that supposed to be a "get back" at the THs that have been discussing it? It IS weird. This a trial for a client's life. Bizarre. I suppose they are trying to look as if they are unified. I personally wouldn't want to identify with JA in any way.

To me the fact that she has done good works in the past have noting to do with the role she has accepted in this trial. If I killed a man TODAY, it has noting to do with weather I was a SAINT in my past.
The fact remains that she has chosen to speak on the side that is responsible for horribly murdering Travis. The fact that she has a lot of experience in this area, actually makes it WORSE that she was not able to identify true abuse when she sees it.
She has chosen her responsibility in this role, and she must accept it.
And I despise her for accepting that role.

I think i missed this. Has someone suggested that JA stole TA's journals? on the day she killed him? If so, can you imagine what TA wdve said about her in his own words? Man, wish we had even a hint of him referencing her insanity & antics!
