Out of frustration, I tried to take a break.

But I can't. I'm addicted.

This damn case!

Grrr.

Right. So, the court takes both days.

Used to be most businesses also took both days. In this country benefits like holidays, sick time, personal time and medical benefits get worse and worse. Americans work more hours than any other civilized country and for less money.

I don't understand why there is no court on April 1st. Is April Fools Day a state holiday or something in AZ?? This trial has the weirdest schedule.

Easter Monday. Some schools have it off, too, kinda like Good Friday.

BUT that gives Jaun over 4 days to plan his proscution stratgy:great::great::great:

Yes, and I do believe the defense "plan" may just backfire on them.

LOL

Good night everyone!

I wonder if she's going to get that specific and go into her talks with jodi, or if they made a strategic call to keep it general. The reason I wonder is we know JA told her something different about the little boy picture being on TA's laptop. If they don't get into her interviews with JA, JM can't cross her on that. JM managed to get that in when he had JA on the stand, but she denied saying it. If JM can't get that from ALV, I'm gonna be MAD!!!!

I just asked this in the legal thread and AZLawyer answered it.
I can't imagine she won't go into Arias specifics, Kscornfed. They're paying this woman a big chunk of their budget, and it's not to educate the jurors on DV in general. I thinks we're going to hear all the sad, twisted stories she can come up with concerning Arias - THEN Juan can flip her!!

I don't know why people feel as if Jail should be some kind of club med experience. In ny the jails/prisons are like some kind of sleep away camp. They get to hang out in day rooms, hang out with friends, watch tv, play cards, eat a variety of snacks that some people cant afford the luxury of, play outside, get an education, practice religion etc. IMO jails in NY are too relaxed and fun. It doesn't feel like a punishment and thats why you have people coming back like over and over again. If criminals had to really face punishment there would less crime. I mean 3 meals a day, and a roof over your head rent free. Heck some people can barely keep food on the table and a roof above their heads.

Sounds exactly like the description of the psych hospital where I work....sans educational opportunities.

Prisons are supposed to be a place of rehabilitation in a lot of aspects. If we expect people to not go back then they obviously need things to help them function in the real world. You can't have someone in prison for, say, 15 years and then at the end of their sentence get put on the street with no real skills of how to function outside of prison. I have no problems with people having a religion or having a chance to educate themselves or having a chance to actually change themselves through thereupeutic programs. Earning a bit of money through jobs in a prison teaches work ethics....learning that you have to behave a certain way and not act up in order to get minor privileges teaches valuable life skills that likely they didn't have in the first place.

I don't have problems with a certain amount of recreation because it can be a dangerous dangerous thing to house a bunch of people up together constantly together and no way to safely blow off steam. No way to safely blow off steam makes an already dangerous job for CO's even more dangerous. Idle minds can make big trouble so if there aren't things like games they will come up with a lot more dangerous things to occupy some of their time.

Not everyone views prison as a learning experience....yes many work the system and many don't take responsibility for their actions or don't want to work on themselves. Not every person who has been in the prison system is like that though. If someone wants social change, people need at least to be given help or opportunities to do so while incarcerated. Things like this aren't a "Club Med" atmosphere. There is no need to go overboard with bare minimums with regards to food, recreation, etc. but just because prisons have these things does not mean it can be compared to a trip to Passages Malibu.

I used to wake up everyday at 4:00 so I could catch my 5:00 bus so I could make my 7:00 pharmacy tech classes which lasted to 12. I would then have to run home on the bus, have half an hour to relax then go to work from 3:00 to 10:30-11:00. So Jodi will understand if she gets no sympathy out of me, at least.

What a putz.

If there are lots of deviants, does that make them deviant?:waitasec:

So once JM is done with ALV come the jury questions, right? Or JW again and THEN the jury questions? The defense is then done, and next is rebuttal. Is there a list anywhere of the witnesses who will be called?

*crickets"

I'm fairly new....should I have posted this somewhere else?

Guys, no one watch After Dark tonight. Their question for the night is disgusting.

You are absolutely right. I made sure to change the channel before it even started. Shame to see Vinnie P. shilling himself for a buck. I would have thought he'd stand up to the production executives and say this crosses the line. Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I refuse to watch it at all after Jose and the "to scale" model...

It's complete and total bull sheet for ratings and I refuse to waste my time. I feel that show in particular .., is like a giant vulture feeding off Travis's bones. It's appalling.

What was the question? Sorry, just catching up.

Was TA a sexual deviant? I am seriously considering blocking the entire channel! I don't watch it during the day anymore anyway. And the nighttime shows are becoming too tabloid-ish for me. This After Dark thing is just WAY over the top! :twocents:

Then JW is sure dragging out the set-up for it to the point of being ridiculous. Seriously, she overdoes everything, IMO. It's annoying.
