Only if you believe JA. If JA is kicking family pets and her own mother...

I personally flip flop hourly about whether JA's mom is a victim or an enabler. Everything in this case is made out of fog (which, the fog itself, is probably a lie.)

Yes. I wonder if Jodi got the wooden spoon as she was extremely out of control as a child/youth.

I'm watching JA's interrogation (for the 'um'teenth time), as it is showing on NG right now.

Here's a portion of the interrogation:

Flores: You took off?
Arias: [crying]I ran and he stopped me, but I...
Flores: Who stopped you?
Arias: He was um, he was still like conscious and still alive and um...
Flores: You just left him there?
Arias: No, I ran into the closet 'cause there's like two doors and they were sort of in the hallway already and he stopped me and he didn't touch me he didn't touch me he just held the gun to my head and he was like you don't go anywhere and he told the other girl...I didn't see but he was like, I don't think he was saying a lot um but...
Flores: What did they say?
Arias: One was in all black. One was in jeans.
Flores: Did they say anything?
Arias: Yeah, the girl wanted to kill me too.
Flores: What did she say? What words did you hear? What phrases?
Arias: Um, who is that? Who is that and I thought he was by himself or alone or something and he was like shut up, just finish it and Travis was screaming the whole time. He wasn't screaming like a girl he was just like, like he was in pain, like he was shocked, like 'uhhh' you know.

Arias: I got Travis and he wasn't like standing up. He wasn't really doing much. And he, I was trying to get him. And she came back. I got him kind of far, like right here. She came back and he was starting just to get weaker and weaker. And this guy came back in. And she said they needed to do me, too, because I was there and he's like, 'No, that's not why we're here.' And he had my purse, which I had on the dresser here.

Flores: And what did they do after this? After you guys reached this? Try to stick with the incident itself ans what was going on.
Arias: She came after me and he stopped her.
Flores: OK
Arias: And she didn't get me.
Flores: How was she going to get you? Does she have a weapon?
Arias: She had a knife.
Flores: OK. You said she had a gun before.
Arias: I don't know if she had a gun. I think because I'm guessing. I know that he had a gun. I don't know if she had a gun or not. He got my registration out, of my wallet, and he said...He said you must be that ***** from California. She had a knife and I didn't I don't know. He was bleeding everywhere. It was like when she rushed me afterward, or she came back I rushed her, she kinda came back, at me.
Flores: Why didn't you...
Arias: Tried to stab her right here, maybe, I don't know. Umm, and there was a little bit of a struggle with her and not me, I was so scared. I'm not a person who fights. I'm not a person who knows really about self defense. I took some classes once, but it was about eight years ago.

___

Okay. I think Travis tried to get away, crawling down the hall and almost made it to the double doors. TA ran through the closet, grabbed the gun out of her purse, or bag - that was hidden in the closet - and met him at the end of the tile floor (where the large pool of blood is). He was moaning, in pain. She then said, "you're not going anywhere" and shot him in the head. This would explain the path of the bullet - she stood at the closet door, over him, as he managed to crawl on all fours to the end of hallway. She aimed the gun down at him, said "you're not going anywhere", he collapsed and she pulled the trigger.

She then rushed back through the closet, grabbed the knife and a towel to grip it (knife slipped out of her hand at the sink), ran to the end of the all (where he lay), pulled back his head and sliced his throat. She then pulled him back through the hall and the camera fell out of her pocket (track suit or hoody) and snapped the famous hallway photo. MOO

I'm sad and drained.

There it is:

Chris Williams ‏@chriswnews 43s
#JodiArias mom told me that are "domestic violence awareness" ribbons @mandy_hearts

Well then thank you to the Arias family for supporting the supreme domestic violence perpetrated on Travis. If they can't see that fact then heaven help them.

also in that article:

is it just me, or doesn't that seem a bit inappropriate? If I was a juror, and I want to get far away from there, and not risk 'hearing' anything. JMO

Me too. I find that very weird.

Thank you ZsaZsa! I keep wondering if others get how banal her story is. I have a lot of single girlfriends who are looking to marry so I feel like screaming, "Do any of you people realize how common this story is?!?"
I'm not saying she wasn't hurt that he didn't like her back in the way she liked him. What I'm saying is this story is as old as male and female. Sometimes people don't like you back. Sometimes you like a guy and he just wants sex. It hurts. But for God's sake, you buy a bottle of wine and trash him to your girlfriends. You don't knife him to death.

BBM No, you don't knife him to death. For somebody raised in a religious home, sex before marriage is a big sin. The girl that is screwed and dumped and is now "used goods (no guy will want you), you are a "licked cupcake"
And then if your religion does not allow alcohol, no wine for you! Can't even drown your sorrows. Some fundamentalist religions are now suggesting to not even kiss before marriage. First kiss over the alter only! Now, I don't think JA was raised with these IMO, harmful religious restrictions, but for some women it is not as easy as wine and a girl's night out. I just think some gals might get more hurt than others, depending on religious beliefs. MOO

Are we SURE this statement was made by Mr Hughes?

As much as I love this site, I have come across many statements that aren't fact. I think I even inadvertently perpetuated it once.

I'm beginning to question things without a link until it has been substantiated. JMO

Most are supported by links. Some are others interpretation and usually end in MOO.

That was such a silly "low blow" from the DA today and they ended up looking like fools.

moo

May have just been in my head but I swear I heard crickets for realz when Nurmi asked JC if she saw a juror watching Juan and she said "NO". And then odious, murderous Arias started spreading the stink eye again :what:

OMG I want to extend my thanks to the poster this AM who gave me the idea to make chili for dinner because it is AWESOME!

I always find this stage of Trial so wearing and frustrating. Looking forward to rebuttal and closing by Juan. Travis will be heard then. As it should be.

They used each other. She was well aware they were FWB and had no issues getting down and dirty. That isn't abuse. Cruel behind her back? Considering what he was dealing with and that he is now dead because of her, I am sure that anything he said was rooted deep in reality.

Behind her back?! Look what he called her to her face:

- 3-hole wonder - 🤬🤬🤬🤬 - 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 - sociopath - evil - scammer - nothing to you but a dildo with a heartbeat - liar - fishy - Fing lie - BS - freaking foolish - crazy - crap - lying - lazy - pure 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 - sick agenda - evilness - betrayed - I don't want your apology, I want you to understand what I think of you. I want you to understand how evil I think you are. You are the worst thing that ever happened to me.

I can't think of anything he may have said behind her back that was much worse than any of that, can you? And, as we know now, was entirely justified.

.
There are indeed snippets of truth here which send chills down my spine. In my mind he was down on his knees while she was stabbing him in the back. I believe that she is saying blood is all over the place before having seen the crime scene photos. Based on the interview, she does remember things, which makes this memory loss on the stand all that more despicable.
I also believe her "ninja story" is much closer to the truth than her current claim of self-defense. At least in the ninja story, if you remove the "female ninja" and insert JA, it is almost eerily similar to what the crime scene indicates. I can also envision Travis trying to escape from his attacker, by crawling on his hands and knees toward the bedroom. During the interrogation I noticed she said "four knees" which I interpreted to be "on all fours" or hands and knees.

MOO

Yes. They even go on to speculate that she's "that" girl from California...

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Her narcissism is screaming for attention! :floorlaugh:

You all are so much smarter than I am but my observation of the DA's trick with JC was to make sure the jury knew about the pictures RM had taken out front with fans. Afterall, the jury is sequestered and that would be the only way they would know by him (Nurmi) bringing it up in court the way he did. Ughh
Thank heavens for the jurors, they are NOT sequestered. They'd be loony by now. And the "stunt" in the courtroom happened this morning before the jurors were brought in.

It was just Nurmi being jealous, and trying to cause a ruckus.

The jury is not sequestered and the jury was not there when this issue was being discussed.

No worries there, the jury wasn't in the court room during the JC thing, kindly FYI :)

My juror questions: Why do you feel a female who is abused as a child sets them up for a life time of being a victim, whereas a male who is abused as a child sets them up for a life time of being abusive? Isn't that contradictory? What makes a man different from a woman?

Are you aware that Jodi testified that a.) All the sex was consensual b.) All the sex was enjoyable c.) anytime she said no Travis stopped (meaning he never raped her?)

Are you aware that Jodi testified that when she busted his car Travis wasn't even mad and was more concerned for her well being? Is that typical abusive behavior?

Are you aware that Jodi has lied on the stand?

  • #799
Nope, this jury is not sequestered.

so it is unclear if that is a Freud quote. Nevertheless, Freud did appreciate the phallic undertones in relation to cigars in dreams - as in Dr Drew saying that quote so often. still creepy

Not a big fan of Dr Drew, but I used the quote in a previous post. Merely means not every word, gesture and action has a deep psychological context needing to be construed.
