You know who's been extremely quiet throughout this trial? Deanna Reid.

She's been mentioned several times during the trial, but not once has she spoken publicly that I know of.

Do you think she's on Juan's rebuttal list?

I think there are LOTS of people on his rebuttal list.

Does the State spend this much defending every murderer or is there something special about Jodi Arias? Her DT seems to have an open checkbook
and does not want to reveal what they are spending...

It's a DP case.

Bombshell tonight!! NG goes 12 mins without speaking!!

Nancy looks lovely tonight rocking her new hair style, wearing hot pink, and she's using her inside voice. So, yeah, that is bombshell. :giggle:

I'm wondering since Jodi has confessed to disobeying the Book of Mormon would she be thrown out of the church?

Contrary to what the defense might want us to believe church disipline is private. Whatever action is taken against Jodi would not be known unless she tells it. My personal opinion is she would not be excommunicated until convicted, she is claiming innocent so even then I just don't know.

Dang, it won't let me copy it, but here's an interesting bit:

Thus, what is potentially being compromised is the penalty phase preparation that requires extensive and unparalleled investigation into the person and family history of the accused.
This would include reviewing Ms ARias' school records, medical records, juvenile and adult incarceration records and other relevant issues.

JUVENILE and adult incarceration records?

Blown margins alert!

It could be that a friend of his would already know the context of the email, and therefore be able to assume it will all get cleared up by JM. It doesn't necessarily mean they discussed it recently.

He should be careful. KN's on the loose. lol

Not true, the DT sent them the 10 letters that were to prove TA (now said they were forged) was a pedophile and she responded in email "we knew he (TA) had issues but we did not know about this. Thank you for making us aware. What age child was he interested in......etc"
Watch trial day 10 part 3for the info

Which is why I do not think they will be called in rebuttal. Why add to this mess already. Just the facts ma'am, just the facts.

One can only begin to imagine the "under-reporting" of DV from males. "She keeps calling me and won't stop even when I repeatedly ask her not to...", "She shows up at my house uninvited", "I couldn't get her to leave.", "She punched me.", "She stole money out of my wallet", "She threatened to report that I did something to her that I didn't do"...."She threatened to kill me"...

I'd imagine that a very high percentage (close to 100%) of men who are being abused, do not report.

What realistic recourse did TA have?

How many bitter ex-wives try to turn their children against their fathers? That's child abuse imo.

Good evening. I can't speak for others, but today's antics by the defense have literally made me feel sick. I rarely get headaches but have a mild one now due to stress over what happened in the courtroom today.

It was my understanding that ALV was not allowed to discuss Travis' behaviors because he is deceased and could not be interviewed, nor did this expert witness ever know him. I am not aware that she ever met or talked with the Hughes, and it disgusts me no end that she presumes to interpret what they said in an email and what was meant by it. I hope that the Hughes will testify during the rebuttal and clarify the email in its entirety. I feel certain that what ALV offered was taken out of context, and what the jury heard was in her words and not what was actually said.

Sleep well. I'm going to take Advil PM so that I don't toss & turn all night long thinking about this case.

If you're the Defense, anything goes in Judge Sherry K. Stephens' Maricopa County Superior Court.

But try to sleep well, anyway. :seeya:

Remember when he asked Jinx if DD's Katie was an employee of HLN? I wonder where he was going with that?
 Nurmi... you didn't know?
I thought a lawyer never asked a question
if he didn't already know the answer?

Just another lil nurse here, but isn't that a biggie?

Does anyone remember when ALV was saying that she "cares about all people"? Didn't it sound earily like JA when she was testifying? She said something almost identical. Coached much?

moo

ETA - Both stood out to me because of how fake they sounded.

I have always been a fan of JM since day 1 opening arguments. I have to admit that in the beginning I was worried that his technique would come across as "bullying" to at least one person on the jury. This worry was fed by the obnoxious TH's on HLN. As I'm rewatching testimony from JM's cross of JA - I can't deal with listening to LaV anymore - I'm realizing the moment that I stopped worrying and started believing 100% that JM WILL achieve justice for TA and his family. When he is questioning JA and says to her "How do you think it felt when you took that knife and stuck it right in his heart?" The passion and anger in his voice is so genuine and real. He is truly on a mission for TA and his family and there is no doubt in my mind that every last juror will realize that.

On another note, as for the way the defense is trying to call JM out for what went on outside the courthouse - if I ever met him I would want a picture and I would probably cry like I was at my first NKOTB concert! There are few people in this world with a good heart willing to put so much heart and dedication into their job. I would feel honored to just cross his path.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness - I ran on quickly to scan posts and rant :seeya:

I never watch the TH's about anything. Between all the yelling over each other all it is is infotainment as far as I'm concerned and a lot of their info is wrong.

I would like to compare what Jean C said on tv as opposed to what she said on the stand though. Me thinks she really stretched the truth on tv making a mountain out of a molehill thereby causing issues with the trial.

Oh it definitely made him look incompetent. I still wonder where he was going though.

Whoa, the female ninja was concerned with who JA was, because she expected Travis to be alone:

JA: "Yeah the girl wanted to kill me too."
Detective Flores: "What did she say? What words did you hear, what phrases?"
JA: " 'Who is that? Who is that and I thought he was by himself or alone' or something... and he was like, 'just finish it.' And Travis was screaming the whole time..."

She's pulling this story out of her own capacious... imagination. An imagination that is populated/fueled/fed only by her own experiences and her own insecurities, because she has no capacity for empathy. So she creates an imaginary girl ninja who, in the midst of this grotesque imaginary ninja crime, takes time to be freaked out because Travis is unexpectedly with a female guest... just like she was freaked out by the things she discovered in her own stalking of Travis.

Wow. Just... wow.

Who knew I was abused?!?!?!?!

wow. I am 62 and have had sex too early, too many times and if I had sex again too early I would probably be "feeling used...doubting their relationship and full of self-doubt. guess I am immature. women seem to confuse sex with love and place value in the act itself. Men oftentimes place no or little value on the sex act and rarely confuse sex with love.
If I had sex with someone, I was always disappointed if I did not hear from them the next day. sort of a respect thing. Would feel the same way again today and would probably have sex too early again if I ever left my house.
