trial day 40: the defense continues its case in chief #119

Jodi's Mom said Jodi had such big plans made before she murdered Travis...I so wanted Flores to ask her, what did she say they were?

Because Travis opened a youtube account before Arias did hers, ahem. Writing his book, opened a twitter account and had a website, I believe. I find it strange that Travis makes that entry about looking for a gold-digger wife (wonder if Jodi also stole from him?), uploaded that video where he talks about being single at one of those last events. And suddenly, Jodi is on the move, uploading-hacking-stalking again. Murdering.

Jodi also wants people to remember that Travis was to visit her before his death or Cancun ...she keeps getting that brought up. I say BS, in that sex tape---didn't he just not answer and change the subject?
In the OJ trial beginning, a psychologist said Nicole was starting to refuse to take OJ's calls or basically stopped jumping when he said to jump. When the abuser loses control of that person, that's when they react and really hurt that person or kill.
Travis is the who is dead, not Jodi...she was been the abuser all along. Travis was pulling away, blowing her off.

He told her she was at the top of his list in response to her asking if he was coming to visit. For someone like Jodi who doesn't take a hint, that means he's still coming and she is a priority. :what:

HLN showed diary pages of JA earlier. One thing struck me. After writing about men cheating on her and being so awful, blah, blah, blah, she wrote "I'm going to stop writing about this... I could JUST RIP OUT THE LAST FEW PAGES, but I'll refrain from doing that". It seems to me SHE is the one that tore out her own journal pages and once again she's trying to place blame on Travis for "making" her tear out pages. Wish JM could bust ALV with that quote.

I'm a little behind (listening to NG now), but I'm listening with the idea of her writings being after she murdered Travis. With this in mind, I'm am now convinced she wrote many of these entries post murder and before her claim of self-defense.

The entries sound like she is trying to set the scene of his being killed by someone else; like the many comments about cheating with other females, while she isn't jealous (but he is); the "something off about him" comment" (while she is "Christ-like"); his "borrowing money" (read: he's broke, owes $$ to others?); among many other diary entries.

It's as if she is setting the scene to show his character attracting others who may want him dead; but not her, he does nothing to make her want him dead. She is "Christ-like" and could forgive many, or all, of his ills; but, others may not be so "Christ-like".

Yep, she wrote it with a ninja blind-fold!

hahahahha....I think she just needs automatic desensitization. With a good solid 3 day marathon of cross examination. I think they owe us that at least after all we've endured, don't you? :please: (oh wait, this was about her, not us wasn't it? oops)

Why YES! We do need a good 3 day Juan-a-thon! I can't listen to Alyce anymore and need to long break from JW's voice! That woman (JW) with her cheery little voice is getting on my last nerve!

G'nite sleuthers!

I leave you with my impression of the impression of poetry of J Arias.

Yon, I go. Sweet slumber calls and seals the deal with soft tender kisses, three of thee. Nay, I stay! Or shall I go? No, no. Go I must, he loves me so.

(it's late, please forgive me)

I am really curious about EXACTLY what ALV first told JM about Travis and the little boy pictures on the computer. Did TA even have a lap top? Because he keeps his computer in his office. So how was he supposedly in his room on his bed, when ALV first mistakenly thought he was looking at a computer? Were there any details given?

JW acted like this was all cleared up. But I am not so sure.

IIRC, TA had a laptop

I have seen it on here as recently as yesterday. The comments have been removed by mods so that may be why you have not seen many.

Well then, I'm glad I've been late to the boards, these past few days. I'd hate to think differently of any of my many sleuther friends!

Oh my...I'm gonna go take a cold shower and hop in bed...:offtobed:

Whew that was romantic! ;)

Well, get ready to laugh, but my husband keeps a journal and he's done this for at least 20 years. He writes things like, changed furnace filters, dinner at Outback, painted back bedroom. No "dear diary" stuff. He says it's to help him keep track of things. I make fun of him, and always call it his diary. He isn't amused.

My hubby does too....he writes how the stock market did, what the weather was like, what he did for the day, etc. It's in a small "datebook" type thing. He worked for the federal government and got used to writing in a log and when he retired he just continued. :great:

I dropped my sandwich today when ALV was using a frog boiling in water analogy to explain a problem. I thought for sure she was going to slip the second time and say like a bunny in boiling water

I agree! JW seemed to sweep it under the rug, so to speak as in "misunderstanding? totally understandable Miss ALV" is the interpretation I got.
I hope the jury caught that too.

WOW! It looks like JA says thanks for doing that.

Nothing wrong with her lawyer texting for her. Unless she was asking for a cake with a file in it.

Another 'blooper' that i hope the jury caught. When ALV used the word 'TESTIMONY' and had to correct herself. LOL

That's not true. The ripped out pages were not about Travis but about suicide and her fling with a certain man that upset Travis (she testified to this). All the journal entries quoted at trial came directly from her journal books. None were ripped out pages that just conveniently appeared.

Also, I believe that most of the entries are genuine and not after the fact forgeries. I think some here are going way too far with this forgery talk. If she was going to forge anything, she'd be forging examples of physical violence, just like you said. Especially a forgery relating to her account regarding the pedophilia on Jan 21st. Instead, we have "nothing noteworthy happened".

And like someone else said, Travis need not be a saint for Jodi to be guilty of 1st degree murder. I for one had Travis pegged as womanizer very early on in the trial. Didn't changer my opinion on her guilt.

Remember too, though, that she would have forged the entries before her arrest. Her story was that she wasn't there (at that point in the timeline).

She couldn't fake pedophilia, etc, stories because she hadn't thought of that angle yet. Her logical MO then: She had no problems with Travis that could lend credence to motive, because the cops might take those journals. She wanted no motive and she wasn't there.

I would bet she did some tinkering before her arrest. Meh, I wouldn't trust her journals anyway, though. Not only is she a huge psychopath liar, but I've read my own psychopath liar's journal! Overwritten, overwrought fiction in both cases. Apparently it's their little fantasy land of how they see their life.

I think with Jodi, the fable about the frog and the scorpion is more apropos.

Do you know that one?

"My avatar is my painting of my niece Calla."

What a lovely painting!
You have the kind of talent Jodi would kill for - oops, sorry, didn't mean to scare you.

For one he's a super cute Olympic cyclist and someone who'd never give Jodi Arias the time o' day. Sorry that's huge--the pic I mean!

Here I found out that you can petition the courts if your child is an adult to go to court to have them put into a program (if available) for up to 6 months. DrD kept saying "conservitoreship" of the person. To do that, you promise to pay their debts etc...A petition requires I believe that they must be in danger of harming themselves or others. A police report in regards to them doesn't hurt either.

I could be wrong but helped someone when their son was out of control a while back. Parents of adult children have their hands tied but if the person say is a parent and CPS is involved they can call to have CPS inspect the home to insure the children are being taking care of. If not, that helps too.

If available is right, to find programs like that is getting harder and harder to find especially with a humongous deficit. It cost thousands to put your child or young adult in a privately funded program like that. These are the kind of programs the government has to continually cut because the taxpayers don't want to pay for it, and the normal working class person can't afford them. CPS is so over worked they just don't have the time to go around from house to house making sure every child is safe. Every time I hear they are going to cut government spending I know programs like these are the ones getting cut.

Thank you. I only discovered my talent about five years ago. I took a class with one of my daughters and found out I could paint. But I can only paint things that interest me. JA's art is pretty, but like her: there's some spark missing.
