Honestly, no matter what JA is one of those people where some was not enough, more was not enough...there was never enough love, attention or caring. She had certain ideas of how love was shown, getting her way all the time, nothing she wrong should be brought up it should always be forgiven etc. She definitely was not able to receive 'love' in its truest form. The only way her parents could show her how much they 'loved' her was to believe everything she said, think everything she did was perfect and just give her what she wanted. Because they didn't do that it was that they didn't 'love' her. I bet a lot of those screaming/rage calls were about things that JA wanted but her parents were saying no.

I don't fault her parents for everything. Sometimes parents do the best they can. They may have thought at a certain point, maturity would kick in and she would grow out of it or something. She definitely needed help, but its possible it was way too late by then.

Kelly

Sometimes there are just bad seeds in the world and there is no reason for it. Not because of parents or anything else.

To quote from a movie:

Sometimes, some people just want to see the world burn.

It was also reported on GMA per Juror #5 she wasn't ready to talk just yet out of fear of saying something to jeopardize the trial. So sounds like we will here from her down the pike.

My utmost respect to her for that... I hope when she is ready to talk she gets a big fat book deal for her story. She spent three months of her life serving on that trial. I for one would buy that book. jmo

Good morning, everyone!! Let's hope ALV is feeling better and has all her script properly memorized so she can come to court today.

This article is a few days old, but I just read it on the Juan Martinez facebook page. It's from the Huffington Post. It's very good.

Thanks for providing that article, it was great hearing it from someone who actually knows domestic violence and reports it fairly.

These threads move so quickly and I am still trying to catch up. So if I might ask, so there are not many questions fromt he jury for this witness I take it?

Thanks!

Kelly

I know! If you can't watch the trial and miss a few hours on here your lost!

I'd seriously like to know where all of JA's money came from. I thought I read somewhere that her car was repo'ed, her bank accounts had overdrawn fees and she was paying TA for the BMW. Then she deposits money into 2 seperate bank accounts (there's that OCD 2) and has money for a road trip complete with nail salon.

I think this shows her out of control behavior once she met Travis. Her priorities were upside down once she became obsessed with him. It looks like she used her credit cards to fund her lifestyle which was always focused on getting to Travis, going on trips with Travis, and looking good for Travis.

Good morning all.......:seeya:

Hello The Farm! Will you be watching the trial today?

If she already had pre-determined views on guilt and somehow made that known (either through juror questions or to other jurors) then she needed to be removed. Everyone on here always says that they would never be able to serve on the jury of the case they are following due to preconceived bias/judgement. Maybe that's simply what happened here.

Last night I watched Law & Order SVU, the title of it was "Born Psychopath" and it was a fascinating picture into the world of a family with a psychopathic child. One can only imagine what JA's parents went through with her. :what::what:

Yep...she probably thought in her warped little head that once she hit the big pay day and became Mrs.Alexander she could pay it all off...

We talked about how the men on the jury will not appreciate what Alice is saying. Besides being a DA Juan is a man and I cant wait to see him in action.

If anyone wants to read the extract of conversations of JA's parents, I've transcribed them in the Uninterrupted Videos thread. :seeya:

someone help me out here please......last night on here it was said that if ALV leaves or is a no show for cross, then it is a mistrial.....doesn't that just seem too easy of a way out?? I would think that if Juan cannot cross her, then her testimony would be thrown out.....is a mistrial really this easy to come by??

I can't imagine how it would be remotely in the interest of justice to just "throw out her testimony" if she is unable to be cross examined - one cannot un-ring a bell. Even if the jury was instructed to ignore everything she said, is that even possible if one person bought into her load of blame directed only at Travis ? I don't believe so.

I do not know what is wrong with her (ALV), but if it was a problem before trial started the defense team should have brought it immediately to the court's attention to figure a resolution. Something tells me, she will make her meeting with Mr. Martinez. Between headaches and whatever this is, the jury might well come to understand malingering. JMO, it is nothing more than Jodi's Law of Fatal Attraction, guaranteed to make one ill, have unfortunate incidents, and to be overcome with shame. It may also be fatal to one's career.

In JA's dad's interview, she said she was going to file for bankruptcy. Not really a surprise!

How is that possible?

I am not quite sure, but I believe I read that here on the Legal Questions thread and / or one of our attorneys answered it here on this thread? Or did I nightmare that?

There's so much from the interrogation tapes of JA and family that seem so relevant to the case, but aren't allowed in.

Jodi tells us she moved back to Yreka to distance herself, her mom tells police she had mental issues and they had to convince her to move back to be with family. Though I guess those mental issues were her obsession with Travis.

Her father saying how she had changed in the last year-year and a half before the murder. She would call being friendly, then 10 minutes later in a rage. Rage is a strong word. It isn't just anger. It is uncontrollable.

How are her actions immediately before and after the murder considered not relevant. Blows my mind. There's so much there that fills in gaps and helps paint the picture.

Well said.

I am watching the NG tapes this morning and it is very interesting to see the non relationship Jodi had with her parents. She was through with them when she turned 18, moved out and never looked back. Jodi used people in her life...her parents and all her boyfriends.

I felt sorry for her mother in the tape because she is heartbroken that her daughter is a monster. It is a path that no parent could imagine their child would take.

I watch some of ALV yesterday and honestly she seemed just fine. I think it is another ploy to buy time, that is why I am wondering how there can be a mistrial if she does not come back???
After all this time and $$$$$ there just can't be!!!!!:furious:

All the jurors have an idea one way or the other after 3 months. I think the jurors did not want to be held responsible for not reporting in the event it did get out.
