I can't believe ALV is giving a definition of character assassination. OMG!!! Severe form of abuse is it???? Well WTF have you been doing for the past week for 300$ an hour????????? Sorry but this is disgusting.

I agree with those who are saying that Juror 5 is probably an unnecessary distraction. On the other hand, if I had devoted the past three months of my life to having my time wasted and trying to do my civic duty, I might feel defiant about being used as a pawn for the DT and vilified in the media for some (likely) innocuous comment.

I may be a buzz kill, but since I've sat in many trials over the years...

I'm not a fan of Juror #5 coming back. Sure, she's free to do so.

I've been becoming more and more worried about how much gets out of what is transpiring in the courtroom and outside, and I'm concerned. I think last week was a warning, and the less said, the better. Same with the media - I know they have a job to do, and they fight to get things released (because we, the public, are entitled to a lot of info)....but just because we "can" doesn't always mean it's a good idea. I am sooooo NOT a fan of HLN, but most of the time that is my only option to peek at this trial. I can't stand them. JMO, of course.

I've never been involved in a DP trial, but in my years of being involved, on both sides (unfortunately), I've always understood the court system to be very conservative and serious. Behavior should be the same.

Please Juror #5, please watch from your TV. Yes, we all want her to speak, but afterwards. Don't give the DT any tidbits.

JMO and :moo: (putting flame suit on)....

No flames here, couldn't agree more. Just because she can sit in there, doesn't mean it is a good idea. Why give the DT more ammo to derail justice for Travis. My heart breaks for his family.

I wish 5 would make it clear and sip a strawberry frap

This IS the reason the defense wanted her off the jury. Number 5 was a thinker, head strong and a leader not follower. I'm willing to bet that many of the juror questions, especially the snarky ones, originated from her.

Teresa

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner, folks! IMO

I am kind of surprised that # 5 decided to come to the trial too. It kind of nullifies her lovely statement asking to be given her privacy and to be left alone. :waitasec:

ITA

Maybe after the statement, people were giving her the privacy she asked for, and she was dissappointed...

BBM: BINGO !!! You nailed it here ...

I read that statement last night -- and what she is doing is the complete opposite of what it sounded like she was going to do !

JMO and MOO ... but I just don't know what to make of this ... and that is very unusual for me to be

:fence:

Why is Donovan allowed to mug and roll her eyes and make a spectacle of herself? Has anyone found out how to kick her out?

character assassination noun

Definition of CHARACTER ASSASSINATION

: the slandering of a person usually with the intention of destroying public confidence in that person

I know Juror #5 is a private citizen and has every right to be there, but seriously, the drama it is causing (and it is... look at how many postings are about her being there) is worrisome.

It doesn't matter what she believes, she's doing the job she signed up for. Just like the defense attorneys.

Touche. You are right. I guess if that was my job, I have already accepted that may be the case.

Can I gloat among friends instead of listening to the chirping?

My ex once sent an email to a guy I know absolutely rifled with horrendous character assassination. Totally made up stuff to make me look as horrible as possible.

The guy receiving the email? I'm married to him! :great:

(Sorry, but I love it when psychopaths lose. I'm mean like that. ;))

Oh, dear! But she is sitting on the side of Jodi's family....oh no!!! ...now I don't think I like her so much... Hahaha... What's going on here folks?!

TIRADE. Willmott is shameless.

How many times has she used that word now? It's obvious. I think JM will turn that around just like he did when JW kept repeating RS had 35 years experience.

I spent years in therapy trying to recover from my real PTSD caused by the REAL abuse I endured at the hands of my father for 18 years. ALV has made a mockery of everything myself, and every other abuse victim, went through. She should be ashamed of allowing herself to be used this way. While I have no doubt Juan will straighten any issues caused by her testimony out, that will not change my opinion of her. She isn't helping abuse victims, she is setting the cause back 20 years. IMHO

I have history of abuse too including being diagnosed w/ PTSD afterwards. See some of my earlier posts about it if you would like to.

ALV does not represent me or anyone else I know who has been abused.

Let's see what she does for "the cause" on cross.

My guess - we will redefine the roles of abuse on a very public scale.

Jodi looks like she is in a stupor

I for one think its awesome that Juror #5 showed up. While I dont agree that she SHOULD be there given the statement she released yesterday, I do think it shows she's got some moxy.

She's sat there for 3 months now, ALMOST every day, she's commited, just as we are. I think it takes a VERY stronger person to do what she is doing.

I just wish we could tell what side she is leaning to by which side she sits in the courtroom. Im not going to use her being on JA's side against her, as the family and media are mostly on TA's side, it may have been the only spot she could get (and the furthest from the jury and councel).
