I think she deserves all she gets from Juan.

No. I didn't. But I have heard her testimony. And I have been outraged and frustrated by it. Granted, I didn't witness the flow, so maybe I'm seeing things out of context but despite her ridiculous testimony, I don't think she comes across as a dishonest, paid liar or unlikeable and it's a mistake for attorneys to act too aggressively with likeable witnesses.

When he gets aggressive is when the witness is arrogant and combative and yeah that pisses him off. She was acting just like Samuels and JA and would not answer a simple question.

This is exactly how I seen it too. I didn't see him get agressive until she wouldn't answer his questions. I can't believe how the defense witnesses have acted a mirror image to JA on the stand. SCARY:banghead: :moo:

When the prosecution and defense goes up to a sidebar, it seems they pass a little item on the Judge's desk, in between themselves - a brown bar, or something? Is that what they use to 'take turns' speaking up at the sidebar?

I agree - and they keep doing it - but what is the statistical probability of an expert becoming ill during their testimony, the defendant claiming she's too ill to participate in her own defense, another expert 'forgetting' their notes, a juror being excused, and multiple motions for mistrial, prosecutorial misconduct, sequestration which always seem to leave Juan with less than 20 minutes to cross examine on the last day of the week?

It couldn't possibly be a concerted effort, I'm sure.

To right, honestly this trial has it all. The good news is that you and I see it, and we aren't forced to sit there - like the jurors seeing it. I really have high hopes in this jury, not to mention I have never seen such evidence in a case.

ITA gitana1, imo that is why Juan brought up her pay. I think the jury did find her sincere in her opinions and Juan wanted to rein it in to remind jury she is still just a paid expert who is subject to bias. She is not someone who "knows" JA.

I really don't think the jury did believe her to be sincere nor bought the fantasy she is trying to sell. I think they think she is a clone of JA including her defiance when questioned.

Beth said the jury has been very restless since she has been testifying. Twirling in their seats, looking at the floor, looking at the ceiling, yawning and rubbing their eyes.

Imo, the jury was very glad when Juan got up to get this case back on track and to dismantle this very combative biased witness.

Actually, unless she has permission, ALV may be in violation of copyright law by using the words "Snow White", especially now that she has said her book was based on the Disney version.
I know someone who violated Disney copyright - they sued him for everything he owned and won.

I do agree to most of your post but don't agree that he has been aggressive primarily to women. He was seething when crossing Samuels and rightly so and when questioning Gus. He was very nice to Lisa Anderson which also was a defense witness. Cross examination is suppose to be heated anyway.

Of course he was aggressive at times with JA and any Prosecutor would have been. It has to be hard to listen to lie after lie for days on end. And then having to sit there and listen to ALV for days on end making JA into the victim and Travis the perp would be hard on any Prosecutor knowing that it all is a bunch of concocted bs.

IMO

If you are telling the truth there should be no back and forth with the prosecutor. It's yes or no answer and a comment to something that requires more. ALV knows what cross is and challenges JM on it. She knows better but can't resist getting one up on JM not realizing she defeats her purpose in doing so. Her job is basically done. She should just answer the questions and wait to be dismissed. She has done the best she can. If JM has evidence ALV is not aware of, she is an objective witness and it should not bother her. By reacting to questions and posturing she is showing the jury she is vested in Jodi's defense regardless of what the evidence shows.
