Under the circumstances, I'd like to ask that we refrain from using that particular astronomical term.

Shoot, okay...

Her laptop was stolen in February. Don't know if she had her report on it and if she had some back ups

I can't imagine not having backups, I guess my concern would be was there anything recent she hadn't saved herself or was there anything she had yet to pass on to the defense. Would she need to share everything with them or no? And is there any process Juan or the prosecutor's office could independently have conducted to ensure that the defense hasn't received "new" information from February on, information they could only get from Dr. Demarte or through Juan? I don't think I articulated that question/concern well but if anyone understands, thoughts?

I have a difficult time believing the break in was coincidental.

What was it about Travis that had Jodi so obsessed? She's not a bad looking girl and dating guys wasn't a problem for her. I just don't understand stand why she slaughtered him and why would she think that she'd get away with it. Travis seemed to be a nice guy...a cheater but nice. He wasn't worth throwing a life away in prison or death. I just don't understand people who think they can commit the perfect murder. It's ridiculous to believe you're smarter than everyone because at that point, you're so smart until you're STUPID!

Can you explain to me how Travis was cheating? Was it like Matt McCartney was cheating, blissfully unaware he was still in a relationship with Jodi?

The murder can be summed up as follows: Jodi can break up with you. You don't get to break up with Jodi.

It was a good day. The only weak part I think is the Havasupai fight, which I think DF's testimony doesn't really tell us much about, and JM is making more of it than there is.

Other than that, lots of good points made today on the lying and the stalking pattern, which I know there is more to come.

I had a professor in college that was constantly giving me a noticeably harder time than the other students. It was a very small class, and I was a senior. In fact, I was a senior who got straight A's for the first time ever, except in this guy's class. It was a subjective grade, and since I was graduating, I got up the mojo to confront him on it. His answer was one that I never forgot, and I still find it aggravating to this day. He told me it was because I was the best student in the class. so, I said, why no A? He said, because you could have worked harder, you only did what you had to do to get the grade. It still burns me, because I should have gotten the A since I met all the requirements. Grr.
Why am I telling this? I think it is the same reason that so many TH's go easy on Wilmott and Nurmi and come down hard on Martinez. It's not who is better or worse, it is who is living up to the TH's expectations that they discuss. eiglarsh doesn't expect much from The defense attorneys, and doesn't get much, so he doesn't have a reason to complain. he expects a lot from Martinez, and apparently thinks that JM can do even better.

My professor told me I ought to feel complimented. I told him I would trade the damn compliment for an A anyday.

I agree.

Mark ALWAYS says " why doesn't JM carefully craft his questions?"
and he says " Juan Martinez should be more finely honed with his cross."

SERIOUSLY? Does ME ever notice that Juan enters court in the morning with a carefully organized stack of exhibits, and he goes through them in perfect order, without referring to an outline or any notes? JJeeezzzhhhhhhh. Sometimes I think ME is not really paying very close attention. JMO

Sometimes I think he just wants Juan to stand at the podium with a binder of questions like JW...

Just because he moves around, gestures and only looks at his outline on the desk once in awhile does not mean he isn't prepared or his questions are not well crafted. Martinez showed today that even with a combative expert who fought him on every single question that he stayed in control, was thinking outside the box and several questions ahead, boxed in the witness and by the end of the day proved the defendant a stalker-not a victim-on the experts own continuum of domestic violence. Check mate.

thanks
Why was she asked to leave?

Because it's Jodi. I think the story was Jodi moved to Mesa and rented a room with a young Mormon woman in the ward, and something about Jodi telling her about Travis and sex and then the woman and her boyfriend eloped and then wanted a real wedding in another state. Jodi threw them under the bus for having sex before the ceremony. It's a very convoluted story but aren't all of Jodi's?

Where is the 3rd gas can? She wants everyone to believe she returned it to Walmart. Where is it that she doesn't want it found? Is the gun nearby?

Hard to explain...but the dynamic duo, in matching blue, looked like kissy faced 5th graders---like two bffs, all smiling and sharing secrets and smiling at whispering in each others ears and going on like that for 5 or 6 minutes it seems...

Jodi looked so happy and almost elated. She looked like she was greeting her best friend
at a party and they were gossiping about the other peeps there. She seemed to have no idea that her star expert witness just called her a murderer on the stand and admitted that she based her entire assessment on the lies she had been told.

Nurmi apparently has on blue, too, today. Do they coordinate this?

Could she go against the defense and start agreeing with the prosecution?

I don't like her at all.... But... I think she was somewhat duped.

Of course she could but she won't b/c she thinks her baby einstein was a dv victim.

He most definitely gives the impression he is not into the last two witnesses, and especially this one. Perhaps because ALV and Nurmi are on opposite planes? ALV who has an obvious dislike for men, as all men are the abusers (and not the women), and Nurmi who has specialized in defending sex offenders, who are normally men? I highly doubt this witness was one of Nurmi's choice. Also, could it be JA wasn't quite as honest with him when she was testifying? He did appear to have to lead her to the answers he needed. It really does appear he does not want to be in the courtroom.

MOO

He looks like a turtle that can't get back into his shell, but definately wants to.

Let's remember Nurmi never wanted to take this case to begin with. I think he deserves some slack.

Might be a good idea to ask before getting ticked off. If you watched the trial this afternoon, Juan asked ALV to define a word in ONE sentence. Her sentence was very very long, and jumbled together, just like MY post and my post had nothing to do with your gramer.
Good heavens!!

You said hers was a run on sentence "like THIS one" (referring to what I took as mine in my comment) and that is I responded that way. So I apologize.

Right now JM is impeaching ALV via Jodi's "incomplete" journal entries, i.e. "would it change your assessment if you knew ...." stuff. Do y'all think at some point Juan will claim/prove the journals ALV relied on are fake replicas JA produced in the 5-6 weeks before she was arrested? If so, would he do that during rebuttal?

When say "fake replica's" do you mean there are two versions of the journals? I am a bit confused on this.

Does JM have versions that ALV does not? I don't think he could have anything the DT doesn't have because of discovery. Which means to me if the DT has it, ALV had it. Still i don't know if all the pages of the journal(s) have been admitted (not counting missing pages) or if there is more than one version.

People I can think of with Manifesto's:
Hitler
Unabomber-Ted Kaczinski
Christopher Dornan- Big Bear serial killer
Jodi Arias
all terrorist whackos.

And lately, JA has been scribbling/drawing like crazy. Almost every time the camera is on her she's drawing something. So every time I see her do that, I think of John Couey, the 🤬🤬🤬 that murdered [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Lunsford"]Murder of Jessica Lunsford - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] in Florida. He would sit at the defense table drawing in coloring books all through his court case. I don't know how much of that was just to keep him busy and how much was to bolster the defense's assertion that he was mentally challenged. Either way, I'm not seeing an Einstein or Van Gogh at work at JA's defense table; I'm seeing a compatriot of John Couey.

He got the death sentence, but died two years later.

IMO, the 3rd gas can is in the desert along with her burned clothing, the gun and the knife.
