If Travis somehow managed to stay alive he would tell ALV the real story, but I'm not sure ALV would believe HIM.
You just made me remember what the gal on Dr D said tonight. She said the jurors should ask if there is any piece of evidence at all that could change ALV's mind about her DV claim.
I hope #5 wasn't the only one asking really good questions - I can't wait to hear them. But I wish we didn't have to listen to the DT - just our Juan!!

IMO, it doesn't make sense, but I know a lot of people here would agree agree with you and the dude on Dr Drew.

I don't know that I agree with him. It just makes sense in contrast to the other theories I have heard.... Including the account from the ME who testified.

She's falling apart at the seams and I'm LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

Another thing I noticed is how the longer the trial goes on, the more JA is constantly chewing her lips. That is a nervous habit. When I get stressed it's the first thing my DH notices is that I chew on my lower lip.

She is imploding IMO. I think she comes off cocky in court because she realizes it's not going well for her. And she refuses to be seen as resigned, or "weak" in her view. She still thinks she can control this thing, and I am curious to see what her reaction will be when the verdict is read. It should be interesting. And yes, I am convinced it will be a guilty verdict. Not sure about the DP, but I do believe she will be convicted of Murder One.

From what I heard, prison is a lot better than jail because you get more privileges like a tv in your cell and some other perks.

But maybe not on Death Row.... I do know that if you get DR you get 23 hrs a day ALL ALONE.

That is part of the issue with using her as an "expert". She's only expert at finding women are victims of DV. Why write a report? She has no ability, training or education to find anything other than that the defendant is a victim of DV.

Even Samuels was at least qualified to administer tests that could be used to provide an actual diagnosis. Alyce has no such training. She is an advocate for women victims of DV. That is her only "expertise". She is not a clinician and the only thing she can "diagnose"is victim hood due to DV. And she diagnoses based on criteria she develops and can change at will as it is not based on anykind of science.

I'm hopeful the jury will simply dismiss her testimony due to lack of any objective basis, selective fact gathering, avoidance of anything that would "speak" ill of Jodi and full of animosity toward the slaughtered murder victim for the sole reason he was male, not to mention their likely diagnosis of her as either being criminally gullible or so hopelessly biased she refuses to distinguish truth from lies.o

Peace friend. It's easy to misunderstand the written word - just like Juan was trying to tell ALV this afternoon.
I have a bad habit of expecting everyone to have watched the trial that day - my fault.

Rachel you may be absolutely right. Makes sense. The Judge grew some balls.

Only thing is, I didn't know the judge had a boss. I thought a judge IS the boss.

Of course, Judges here are elected. So I guess voters are the boss!!!

Travis was HER perfect storm. None of us is ever going to know exactly why JA was so obsessed but for starters... HE was successful, smart, handsome, religious and everybody liked him. SHE was not successful, thought she was smart, was pretty on the outside but so ugly on the inside and used religion for gain as in gain Travis. God, Travis never saw her coming and when he actually did see the real her it was too damn late. She is Pure Evil.

She thought she won the Husband Lottery.

Am I crazy or does goofy forensic guy on Dr Drew who KNEW Jodi and Travis have a theory that actually makes a lot of sense with the evidence?
I have always thought the "gun jammed" in the ninja account was born from a possibility that that is in fact why she had to stab Travis. .... Do I need to have a bath now and get to bed?

We can speculate every scenario but we will never know the real story. There is only two people who knew what really happened and one is a pathological liar and the other one is dead. Unfortunately we will just have to wait and let the jury sort it out. I think they will basically just use the physical evidence and Jodi's testimony. Since she admitted to murder then it's just a matter of, was it premeditated or not?

This has probably already been discussed, so apologize but I'm still catching up with testimony today, and watching DD. I can't believe JA was caught on camera cheekily "sustaining" one of the judge's objections. Her narcissism is starting to show more and more as this trial goes along. Does she not realize that the jury is probably watching her in court? She got quite the look from JW when she did that.

She is some piece of work.

Whoa, I must've missed that! When did that happen? Anyone have a clip of that? yikes!

Travis expresses anger openly while Jodi is more subtly (raging) passive-aggressive among a whole list of other emotional manipulators very often used by abusers to control their victims.

Exactly, and I think ALV identifies with JA because she has the same qualitities. That's one of the reasons she will never admit that JA is anything but an angel.

IDK, but Sistah mentioned they have TV in prison, so probably DR too. ??

I think they can have 1 electronic on DR

Because by definition, words are "verbal". It's simply written verbal communication vs spoken/oral verbal communication.

I never realized that. Just thought it'd be something snarky that I'd expect her to say.

'Official' according to whom? Have we heard it characterized that way by anyone but her?

You're right. I forgot who that info came from.

Good evening fellow WS.
Wasn't today just the BEST day yet in this trial? Juan got so much info out in the open for the jury.
I'm so exhausted from this day- almost as if I was the one trying to get a Yes or No out of AL, instead of JM-LOL.
Thanks for all the great posts today. Seems that AL wasn't given the most important info from the DTs, but she's still responsible to get ALL the info. I think she sounds a little naïve to me, don't you think - not that lets her off the hook. I have to get some rest. Hope to see another good day in the AM with Juan (how does he do it- he's so intelligent and remembers everything.)
Good night.

Agreed. I just hoped that the state could lay out a theory that made perfect sense and lined up perfectly with the evidence... and that it would answer all of the juror's questions as to how it happened.

ETA: I always regretted the CA trial's outcome had much to do with the fact that this very component was not present.
