I would know if there were grammar police, I rarely can form a proper sentence when ranting and raving about this case! All just jumbles and rambles... I go back sometimes and read what I have written and just shake my head at how scattered and unorganized it is or how none of the verbs agree with each other. :jail: I am delightfully surprised that the folks here generally don't harp on the petty stuff :great::rocker: :moo::seeya:

I think any mention of run-on sentences was as a joke in reference to the current witness on the stand whose idea of a 1 sentence response was a major run! :truce:
i use several devices depending on which is charged and if one of my roomies has his super duper, high powered, fancy smancy big screen laptop here when he's not working. Most times I post on a small, not-very-responsive screen and keypad so I struggle to get punctuation, grammar, caps or full thoughts out before screens freeze or keypad refuses to co-operate. I think my posts often look like I started drinking first thing in the morning -vodkabulary ? ;) :giggle: but I know most people here also use different devices and type at different speeds while living through life's many distractions. i judge no one :)

HLN "After Dark" - Jury question "Did Jodi plan to kill Travis?"

:D

Curious, If ALV is in a wheelchair, she'll have to push it herself, because there will be no court personnel left. They all got the shaft because ALV spent all their money!!
Really sad to think of all the money being spent on something like this.

It dawned on me today when one of the TH's stated that two weeks ago the defense had spent $1.4m. This amount does not include the prosecution and their experts. For the life of me I don't understand when the state is paying for the trial how in the holy heck they get a blank check. I think the residents of AZ should start putting on the heat and making some noise.

BBM

Are you serious? Have you been watching this trial?

Haha... Everything is relative. I would have to guess that someone who fancied herself a regular Einstein but in 27 years on Earth... never managed to make it any further than waiting tables at the Applebee's .. Travis Alexander's life looked pretty damned accomplished.

Why just the 3rd gas can? Daryl Brewer said she never returned the other two. Did any of them make it back to Yreka?
IIRC, she said they were in her Gpa's garage - even though she was all packed to go to supposedly VISIT MM in Monterey when she was arrested..... I think that's pretty close to DB?

HLN After Dark just gave one of those theories. The theory is that JA copied the Movie Psycho. Nonsense yet really very creepy. The shower scene photos of both the movie and the TA, freaky!

ALV knew of Jodi's manifesto...but never asked to see it???

Me either. Lots of heated discussion sometimes lol, but no grammar police.

If someone pushes me far enough I'll go all Strunk & White on their sorry a$$.

What makes you think JA was obsessed with TA? I guess everybody has a definition of "successful". TA worked for PPL, did not have a college education. Not sure if JA would have ever heard of the Mormon church had it not been for TA..HE was the one that told her of his Book of Mormon..HE baptized her. I don't see how JA used TA for religion for gain as you say.

Given that Jodi couldn't move on, stalked Travis. Hacked into his personal life etc etc qualifies as obsessed in my book. Her own written word states how much she loved him and thought about him. Travis was certainly a catch above from who Jodi had dated prior. A catch with a nice home, good friends. I think Jodi used religion to insinuate herself further in Travis's life.

Thanks, I hadn't heard that.

Judges have a profound affect on the jurors. If I was a juror and I watched a "witness" berating and being disrespectful to either the DA or the PA, I would be looking to the judge to guide me as to whether or not their behavior is "ok". I would expect that the judge, would give me some guidelines as to what is appropriate or not...There don't seem to be any rules in this courtroom. A witness can get up (sworn under oath to tell the truth) and get "around" the rules by repeatedly evading the questions and so far (a VERY LONG WAY) into this trial, the judge has not set ANY boundaries as to what is acceptable or not. The message is LOUD AND CLEAR. The judge will not step up and take ANY responsibility as to how witnesses will/will not comply with answering questions. I hope the jurors are intelligent and can wade through the carp.

I wouldn't be surprised (given other precedent) if they're not at all that smart. I'm still on here, following this CHIT CIRCUS in the hope that I might restore my faith in what is now known as "justice".

Today's events made me feel sick in a way that I've only felt once before...

What is this about grammar police... grammar schmamar.... but if there's someone policing run-on sentences I'm guilty as charged; my manifesto is several pages but one long run on sentence, good luck to whoever has to edit that.
I can't wait to read it!! Is it like a list of demands or wishes?? I've only heard about them, but never read one.

Good point about obsession. Has that word been cited by JM?

Alyce knew about Jodi's manifesto...but never asked it see it?

What's wrong with this?

Everything, and it makes her look like a bona fide hired gun for sale, willing to accept whatever a DT gives her, agreeing to a preplanned "diagnosis" of a defendant.

IDK if that's accurate, but it sure seems like it.

Good Night everyone. Thank you all very much for all of your input throughout the day. I work all day and can't watch the trial live. I read what you all have to say all day, race home, turn on HLN, jump on WS and watch youtube and Google away. Sheesh, I'm exhausted. Night, Night.

I don't think Nurmi has checked out, I think he is watching the jury.

I think you are so right. Yesterday I caught Nurmi in the afternoon straining his neck for a good 10 seconds looking at something or someone in the direction of the jury box, then he scribbled on his legal pad. I bless the day I don't have to look at JA, JW or KN again.

Question: Why is it Juan is stressing so much on "Law of Attraction"... Is he brewing up something?
