And didn't she also say she didn't find it unusual for JA to move to Mesa AFTER the break up? Like normal people do that every day?

IDK..either she has seen evidence to the contrary but I have never met or heard of anyone following someone AFTER the breakup unless they had ulterior motives and were pissed about the breakup.

Hi Mom!

YES! It was truly bizarre to watch actually. Whatever Jodi did.........there was nothing wrong with it..........not just moving to his town after the breakup (creepy and weird) but there was nothing wrong with her peering in windows either or even humping RB hours after the murder.

Remember ALV said "I" would have wanted to be normal too" or some silly answer like that when asked about RB and the defendant. So she thinks everything Jodi did was 100% okie-dokie.:banghead: She reminds me of a parent with a bratty unruly child and keeps thinking "oh not my child.' (eyeroll)

Does she even realize it is so obvious to most everyone that she is biased to the hilt? Is she so consumed and mesmerized by Jodi that she has lost every ounce of objectivity? I think so.

IMO

I replied to you on the other thread, don't know how to bring it over, but I think that kind of thing plays well in legal dramas but isn't very realistic. Can you imagine the outrage if he basically blew off cross of the DT witnesses and the jury ended up actually buying their self defense story?

I know what steelydan is getting at. If ALV replied "no" to the question "do you think that JA is a compulsive liar?" she would demonstrate, not only her bias, but her lack of ability to recognize this trait in an admitted liar. Nothing she says after this would matter. I also think that, by the questions asked by them so far, that this jury would be astute enough to come to this conclusion.

But anyway, it would be GREAT television! :floorlaugh:

ALV is so biased that ever SHE does not realize it. For me - that means time to RETIRE!

Seriously, those two expert witness's didn't look at the crime scene photos and notice that there was no blood in the closet? Didn't their hinky meter go off?

Yes, I am perplexed at exactly what they looked at other than JA's journals and text messages to get their results.

I think I heard their were 10 DV Experts that the DT wanted to review the case and none of them took on the task. If true, that is a big signal. It almost cooberates that fact that the attny's only gave the experts what they wanted them to have. But, couldn't they ask for more?

IDK how all that works. Just seems logical to research your end result to make sure that you have the foundation for it.

I am anxiously awaiting the Prosecutions witness, DeMarte (I think that is her name). It will interesting to see how the DT cross examines her and how well her thoughts hold up. I am thinking she will be more informed. I hope. I wonder how long the DT will keep her up there trying to sway her testimony.

Should be very very interesting.

You have to remember Alyce hasn't heard that Jodi slept under Travis' Christmas tree, dreaming that Santa would deliver Travis with a golden ring on a golden goose.
Or Travis told a room of 30 people that Arias wasn't his GF after she just announced it, after showing up uninvited to his house, that's she was his woman.

A lot of story weaving by Jodi went on in that 44 hours of ka-chinging listening by Alyce.

“Isn’t it true that Mr. Alexander was extremely afraid of the defendant, Jodi Arais, based on her stalking behavior?” Martinez asked Alyce LaViolette, the defense team’s domestic violence expert.

“He was afraid of her, yes,” LaViolette replied.

“Because of her stalking behavior, correct?” asked Martinez.

“Correct,” LaViolette said.

That says it all. Of course ALV later contradicts herself and carries on saying JA wasn't a stalker but the jury heard this.

Hello Ocean! I think your opinions are very much my own!

i just read a few lines of that article which stated that AVL held her own on the stand- really? that isn't what we all saw- what the hell is that; i read no further

Yeah, and the supportive quotes from several "former" Maricopa County judges, now in private practice, who were likely tossed out by voters at the earliest opportunity.

It might have, but they hit snooze because of money, IMO. It's sickening.

BBM. Yes, we've all known that parent!

ALV has been making me think about Ollie North, for those who remember him. He claimed after he got in trouble about the whole Iran-Contra thing that one of his problems was that he spent too much time talking only with people who thought like him and encouraged him to do something illegal -- all in the name of patriotism, of course.

ALV has the same problem. She spends all day every day with women who have been abused by men, and with people who reinforce her belief that that's all there is: women who have been abused by men. She definitely needs to broaden her horizons.

This could be absolutely right, for sure. When this trial is over perhaps LE or Martinez would be willing to speak out if they felt she had help and saw indications of it, but lacked tangible evidence to put someone else there, so they, like you said, didn't go there.

I have seen stuff like that on Dateline and 48 Hours Mystery.

I believe all in LE will say there is absolutely no evidence that JA had any help that day and will continue to believe she did this all by herself which I believe is true and supported by the actual evidence.

BTW did you read about the young girl yesterday who lifted a 3,000 pound car off of her father who was trapped underneath?

Women have been murdering men........(moving their bodies.....some even burying them in the backyard or loading up the bodies and discarding them in another location).....forever... all by themselves.

What are the chances tha after the circus is over we hear a different tune from ALV when she actually sees or reads about this stuff?

I am thinking that her response afterwards will depend on how unwanted her expert opinion is after this is over.

I read this morning on the local Phoenix Fox station that Jodi is tweeting via the help of Donovan. It says she is going after JM and NG. I also saw a post about AL to sign up on change.org to have her removed from a guest list of speakers.

I'd love to see what JA is tweeting but I don't have twitter and have no clue how to tweet.

Hey everyone Good morning :-) so first I hear on the news this morning, FOX10, all about JA tweeting from jail, her friend Donovan ( the news called her a male) talks to JA every evening on the phone, JA tells her/him what to tweet, and then I open my Newspaper, and on the front page is the expert on domestic violence, I haven't read the article yet, I'm sick of all this attention given to the person who admitted to killing Travis Alexander. I need to go for my walk now, when I get home I am going to send the news station an email asking why they have not give the victim in this case any mention. I am so angry, I hate starting my day off like this. I'll be back later.

Very well said.

I think Michael Kiefer, the author, was trying to be even-handed. Plus, Katiecoolady has complained that he's suffering from trial burnout, which may be the case.

I'm perplexed about what he and some of the people think is supposed to happen. ALV brought all this on herself. She WANTED a public forum to talk from. Granted, I'm sure people haven't been polite, but, again, they're reacting to HER statements. Even when I post here, I know people are going to comment on what I say. She's somehow managed to keep herself in a very small bubble where unwanted opinions just don't intrude.

Are you from England, RC? Doesn't the press there have different rules about what they're allowed to say about a case before it comes to trial? And then what about when the trial is going on?

What the press can report before and during trial is excessively limited and there are certainly no cameras in the courtroom.

I agree - ALV saw the public forum that would be available and she herself took that on. Perhaps she should be wondering why she is getting the responses she is, a little critical thinking never hurts anyone. I also believe that when this is done and over - she owes JM a huge apology and a thank you. He took her to school, but I am having trouble believing that she took any positives away from her time with JM. I don't think she got it, even though she uses the term "open mind". If she understood the term, she would have passed on this case just like the six before her. No sympathy here.

I have a feeling ALV is the type that will never admit being wrong... even if it hurts her career. :twocents:

The utter lack of common sense is a pattern in the Defense's case. Almost every single thing they want the jurors to believe would require the jurors to ignore the physical evidence that is present in this case. Add to that two expert witnesses who are incompetent and strongly biased towards the defendant. Taking contexts into consideration only makes the State's case stronger. Whether one is looking at the tiny details or the bigger picture JA guilty of the premeditated murder of Travis Alexander as well as accusing the victim of abuse and pedophilia without any evidence whatsoever.

Exactly! It defies all logic and rational thought.

I honestly think if she did know it......she would immediately dismiss all new information and would still say Jodi is the good one and Travis was the bad one.:(

Knowing ALV she would say all 30 of those people were women and Travis was trying to date them all. lol

This station does do a lot of stories on Jodi but I think it's because she is willing. I have a feeling they're leaving the Alexander's to get through the trial and giving them their space but it would be nice to see one story on justice for Travis.
