I'm sorry, legal system, but this is what a mob looks like these days. It's electronic. Maybe you'd prefer that we show up with signs outside????

The reason it's so calm outside the courtroom is because there are online avenues to express public opinion. Public trials are public for a reason--so we can see justice in action. And when we see things we feel are unfair, we say so, whether it's with torches, marches, parades, boycotts, hacking, or whatever.

We have a court system so we won't have people tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail.... you can't shut up public outrage. It will find an avenue and it could be a lot worse than words on fora (plural of forum?).

How about the defendant demeaning the prosecutor who is the representative of the people. She has the RIGHT? Did I hear that? She has the right to tweet with her one phone call but we don't have the right to call her paid liar a paid liar?

Yes we do. That article is sensationalizing what is really happening, which is nothing. People are excited about the case and the media is using that to boost their ratings. USAToday posts something that outrages the onlookers which promotes their online/news/paper.

It can't be that bad'. Can it?

What makes it bad, for me anyway, is that the fonts get REALLY small and I have a hard time reading the page.

Folks, I think there has been a misunderstanding. We aren't trying to stifle our members.

You don't have to like the defense team or their witnesses. You may express your displeasure and yes, even anger. We are only trying to avoid the name calling and name variations. Discussion of ALV's personal life and her business affairs are off limits. Only discussion about her testimony is allowed.

As an example:

You may post:

"I think ALV is lying."

What you may not post:

"ALV is a big fat liar."

Please carry on as usual with the above guidelines in mind.

Thank you!

Hi, everyone!! Rady for justice for Travis!! I just want to thank the mods for all they do. I know it can't be easy to police all of us, especially in awful trials such as this one. I am sorry if I have crossed the line - I will try to control my anger and temper and not post everything that pops in my head. :) I know Juan, and the smart jurors in this trial, will get justice for Travis!!

If ALV is not in court today because of social media etc. getting to her then how on earth is this trial going to move along? She would be better off just getting up there and getting it over with and then going home. Dragging it out is just going to increase the negativity especially now because of the article that is floating around.

OT did anybody see that reporters keyboard? (Michael Kiefer). Ewww

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that!

I'm an antiseptically clean Virgo so I find stuff like that horrible. What's the rest of his life like? Alright, I judge a book by its cover!

I have zero interest in the supposed JA twitter account, but I am curious does anyone know what kind of phone privileges she has? How is it so unfettered??

This is why I think expert witnesses should be hired by and paid for by the court. No allegiance to either side. Nothing to gain in being biased. The way experts manipulate things to make a case for their "client" (the lawyer that hires them) is shameful. It's become so blatant as to be laughable. It makes a mockery of our legal system and something has to change.

This is great! Says what I always thought but couldn't verbalized for lack of education on the science. In a real life threatening situation Jodi's body could only support ONE of two reactions: fight OR flight. The fact that she has testified to doing both in short order only proves she was NOT in a life threatening situation.

Period. Short, sweet, simple.

Wish Juan would just simply present the same.

Same applies to Travis too. When he got stabbed in the back he was trying to get away from her, not attack her. It's hard to abuse someone when you are running from them...

Good Thursday to you all,

I have read the posts from the Mod's, and I don't think I have said anything against anyone. With that being said, and being new to the sight, I'm not quite sure where to see what little posting I have made be at to make sure.

With that being said, I decided to go ahead and join this site, because I laugh a little, cry a little and even giggle while reading posts. I like the fact that things are kept to where I can enjoy this site along with other websleuthers without all the other crap, and I thank all of you for that.

Now, Lets get on with JUSTICE FOR TRAVIS!!

It ticks me off that Jodi now has her own website selling her art ( her name dot com) , run by Donovan. It is NOT JAII site
There is a new piece of art, an hourglass. Where is she getting the heavy acid free paper for her art? It does not appear that she is using heavy 200# paper while in trial. Plus, after seeing her Snow White drawing, I do not believe the art being sold is actually done by Jodi. Look at the signature from the art compared to her documents, not the same. I understand there is a relative who is an artist, either a cousin or older brother.

Any money made from the art, or donations should go to Travis' family. It shows she has been making money, maybe when the trial is over the victims rights can go after it.

View attachment 31853 Just my own opinion I hope this does not get me a time out.

:what: I saw that this morning. Her art is "authenticated" with her thumb print. I don't know how she can get away with that in jail...help on the outside?

lil Buddy, I think this is one of your best posts ever! Thanks!

Completely agree too. There is something seriously wrong with hired guns expert witnesses. Maybe a limit to their fees.

  • #337
Is it OK to discuss what the expert witnesses motives may be for taking on this case?
TIA!

@secupp I would love to see Jodi Arias' twitter icon on her webpage...little birdie with bars over the top.

JMO - I am not at all sure by what you mean by ALV taking the case because she believed it. If you mean she believed there was DV - okay, I would agree. There are however many contradictions and I have no doubt this woman is smart enough to see them.

For example, within the first hour of her being on the stand she stated that her method was to talk with both persons (independently) involved because this is how she gets the best information closest to the truth. She did not do that in this case. Granted Travis was killed, however, she made zero effort to speak with friends or even past girlfriends to get the "context" or "big picture" of the man. Instead she relied on the words of Jodi and even worse some text messages, emails, and i. ms. as well as one recording. There is no possible way for her to know the actual meaning of the written words without proper context. She never got that, she did not even try to get it, and she was totally unwilling to even consider that it is possible that Jodi may well have prompted such words or escalated the words based on actions or unknown inputs outside of the written documents. She also applied differing standards when comparing Jodi's words and Travis' - how can this possibly be consistent with a search for the truth ?

Perhaps she was just bulled up - but she could never put the word "truth" in the same sentence as Jodi Arias. Yesterday when JM was asking if she believed Jodi told the truth - she could never say it. She found her credible or believeable instead. Semantics sure, but truth goes beyond credible and believable. She could not say it. Bottom line, she could not assign the word truth to Jodi but she spent hours assassinating the character of Travis Alexander, completely without proof and with very little truth. Character assassination, based on her own continuum is abuse.

I'm just a cabbage patch punk - don't know any of this fancy brain stuff, don't want to either, but what was clear to me is her entire testimony was centered on one thing only, and that certainly was not the truth. She did take an oath to do so.

Thanks. Good post. I agree. I can't type everything I want for fear of being banned! Best thing to say is 'I don't like ALV!'
