AKA The Law of Attraction

No thanks - that little law ended up with a dead young man and a killer in jail since 2008, currently on trial. Seems to me it doesn't work very well. :D

I say chaps! Morning to all, pip-pip-cheerio and all that sort of thing! I'm feeling positively bursting with fairness for all parties today!
Well, somebody had one too many crumpets yesterday afternoon! :giggle:
--------------------
Evening, everybody else! (Or morning, afternoon respectively) :seeya: I'm gonna share my highlight for the day - I need to write it down for posterity because I am pretty darn certain it will never, ever occur again - my children were, as usual, bickering. This time though - over exactly how epic a mom I am. (And I'm not even Christmas shopping!)

Just in case, somebody warn me if the world is actually ending though...I still have half a box of chocolates I intend on scarfing down before doomsday.

Bottom paragraph ---> apparently not. :(

Jodi is playing with the witnesses, the media and now this website. It's a shame how much power she has.

Folks, I think there has been a misunderstanding. We aren't trying to stifle our members.

You don't have to like the defense team or their witnesses. You may express your displeasure and yes, even anger. We are only trying to avoid the name calling and name variations. Discussion of ALV's personal life and her business affairs are off limits. Only discussion about her testimony is allowed.

As an example:

You may post:

"I think ALV is lying."

What you may not post:

"ALV is a big fat liar."

Please carry on as usual with the above guidelines in mind.

Thank you!

Can I post something like...." Is that smoke I see rising from her pants? I think her pants are about to catch fire from all the lies"

I am so excited to think of the jurors questions coming up! Maybe they will speak for all of us. Hope so!

My comments are being deleted faster than photos on Travis' camera.

The f###ing Law of Attraction is really working for this killer.

My understanding is experts testifying in trial cannot be sued over their testimony- ever.

People would never testify if that were the case.

Aren't ALL experts giving just their opinion? Even if they're testifying about DNA, I think they're still giving their opinion, which is why they have to explain what DNA is all about and why they think they have a match or not. In fact, I think there having been cases where one DNA expert said a blood sample matched and another expert said it didn't.

So I agree. You can't sue somebody about their opinion.

Justice for Travis Alexander and his family.

I hope we get to the jurors' questions today. Any guesses on what the witness' demeanor will be for those questions? Will there be a lot of "I can't answer that yes or no"?

Just thinking out loud..
If thousands of people were saying I'm wrong... I think I would re access what I was doing.

If we see a witness being forcibly dragging to the stand, we will know someone did some reflection.;)

I can't understand why Juan didn't show her photos of the injuries on Travis's body.

Maybe recross!

Yes we do. That article is sensationalizing what is really happening, which is nothing. People are excited about the case and the media is using that to boost their ratings. USAToday posts something that outrages the onlookers which promotes their online/news/paper.

:banghead:

If Salman Rushdie can survive Jihad being waged on him for his opinions, I'm sure ALV can survive some cyber name calling..

Or follow-up to jury questions!

Interesting color choice - teal.
The color is tied to emotional healing, trustworthiness, and open communication.

From what I've seen it appears ALV comes across as uncooperative even combative except when being asked questions by the defense.

The defendant and her team created the very circus they are complaining about. A man was stalked and violently killed and the public is expected to sit back and calmly tolerate the trashing of the victim ad naseum? Uhm no. Just no.
