This is really some unreal stuff. The Jurors even know that ALV didn't interview anyone face-to-face except for the liar. It appears to me and the jurors that ALV decided to give an opinion based on whatever paperwork the DEFENSE TEAM decided to give her. And this is her excuse! Unreal.

Yeah, how pathetic of the defense team to not provide her with the journal entries form June 10th and onward. I'm certain that much of the bad stuff about Jodi has been filtered out by Willmot and Nurmi. This bad stuff would have shown to her how deceptive, crafty and manipulative Jodi is. Someone who can NOT be trusted unless there is a HD video to back up her side of the story.

Juan has a golden opportunity to butcher her on cross examine. I was very disappointed that he did not bring this up during his first cross, but now he has another shot. He can't blow it this time. Her post-June 4th journal entries challenge the credibility of the entire journal, especially the entries from May 26th to June 1st. All part of her coverup.

ALV doesn't know about the June 10th journal entry! Unbelievable! Juan better not blow this golden opportunity to demonstrate Jodi's clever deceitfulness and to cast doubt on the reliability of all her journal entries from 2008.

ALV appears to be incredibly ignorant of the lengths that Jodi went through to cover up her tracks. I'd wager that she has no knowledge of the fake email that Jodi sent to Travis post-death or the faker voice mails and memorials. The troll account on youtube, created the day after the gun theft using Jodi's full name (she clearly wanted people to know that it was her account) that was later used on June 12th to facilitate her coverup efforts. This effort to deceive goes way beyond the lies that some "scared battered woman" would say. Juan needs to nail her with all this information. Remind the jury of Jodi's incredibly deceitful nature in the process.

Butting in with a possible answer to your question.

1) Her previous relationships ended when Jodi wanted to end them. For example, she met TA at a PPL convention, went home to her boyfriend of 4 years and informed him that they would no longer be sharing a bedroom or a life. Just like that!

2) I believe JA thought TA's circle (Mormons + PPL) were her ticket to a wealthy husband and the beautiful life. Just compare the pics of the cramped room she was living in at her grandparents' home to TA's house, and the difference is immediately obvious.

BUT Travis started pulling away (he apparently went to his bishop, confessed about the sex, and was trying to clean up his act). It wasn't Jodi's idea, it was Travis'. Travis was only a year away from losing access to his main marriageable Mormon dating pool being, as he would be reassigned from a "singles" ward to a "family" ward when he hit 31. (All this is my just my understanding; if someone has better info, please correct me!)

He needed to get Jodi out of his life, and out of his social circle too. He was a PPL salesman and a Mormon. His reputation in his community was his world. By threatening Jodi's access to the (comparatively) wealthy circles he'd introduced her to, he made her feel like he was threatening HER. That was just not acceptable in Jodi-world, and I believe he died for it. She'd already lined up Travis' replacement in Ryan, which her normal pattern. She always kept the next "love" interest in the wings. It wasn't losing Travis that made her homicidal, it was the prospect of losing access to all that he had introduced her to.

Jodi IMO taped that phone sex and threatened to out TA if he revealed her true behavior to his buddies in PPL, etc. I don't believe TA was aware that the call was being taped! In fact, according to Jodi, they always erased any sexual pictures right after taking them. We know TA had an active sex/fantasy sex life, yet no of any kind was found on his computer. Why on earth would he agree to Jodi taping him? He wouldn't.

Sorry if my post rambled a bit, just trying to get out the conclusion I've been coming to. Hope you can see what I was trying to say.

Great post. And right on the money imo. It wasn't about love with JA, it was about rejection.

She wanted what he had and she couldn't accept he was going to offer it to someone else. When she left for CA I believe she expected him to chase after her. She thought her sexual hold on him was such he would wake up and put a ring on it. She mentions in her interview with Flores that their calls and texts were becoming less frequent. Imo, somewhere in 05/2008 her rage grows to the point of making the decision to kill him. I don't know if it was because of Mimi, or his anger about whatever she did which led to the 05/26 text and im exchanges, or maybe something entirely different. Don't suppose we'll every know.

Interestingly, Jodi's childhood babysitter said that Jodi hit Jodi's little brother in the head with a baseball bat while the babysitter was in another room. The babysitter said she couldn't really safely leave Jodi alone with her little brother. In total agreement. I'm very worried in fact. Juan needs to step up his game. Call character witnesses for rebuttal. FFS, call Deanna Reed!!!!!!!!!!! She denied on 48 hours (interview wasn't videotaped, but statements were released) that Travis ever physically abused her and they had a long-term relationship lasting 6 years.

I want the jury to ask..."Is it character assassination when someone is called names that describe them to a T?" Wouldn't that be more in line with someone telling the TRUTH! I think character assassination occurs when someone spreads bad rumors about you that are lies. I see no lies being told by travis.
