I bet it does have to do with ALV crying about witness bullying...I would not put it past her....also her crying about mental tests.....she shouldn't have lied.

I'd love to hear more about the possibility ALV could be impeached. Juan said "not cooperating" so many times. Btw, I wonder if ALV flipped could the DT have also called for ALV to be impeached?

When a witness is "impeached" it just means that the jury has been shown that they cannot rely on one or more statements made by the witness. E.g., if I say, "You told the jury X, but take a look at Exhibit 5--doesn't that show Y?" then the witness has been impeached.

The whole point of cross-examination is to impeach the witness. If you have not impeached the witness on anything, then you might as well not have stood up for cross. There is nothing that happens as a result of a witness being impeached, except that the jury might not believe the impeached testimony. And if the jury decides someone is lying intentionally, they might choose not to believe much of anything else the person says either.

I went back and listened to the Judge again. The Judge does mention 'testimony' and 'follow up'. So there an issue that ALV still needs to testify about? Plus there is another issue as per the Judge.

Could it have to do with her sa remarks and rudeness to JM? Maybe he wants to impeach her testimony or file a complaint against her and the DT. just a thought as I don't even know if that is possible. jmo

I bet someone would like to slap Judge Sherry into a time-out for her "Please don't tell me about your personal issues" comment.

Nope, I think the judge was just letting ALV know that there was no wiggling out of appearing on Tuesday like she appeared to be attempting to do.

Eta - lol I'm surprised she didn't say judge if you were in my group I'd put you in time out right now. I don't like your tone... :p lol

her greatest gift was her absurdity.

anyone paying attention could ask a very good question back to her after every answer she gave. they were that absurd. she was the most slithery expert i've ever seen.

Well....she made Dr Samuels look brilliant by comparison.

Judge says to ALV in talking about her having to return "you will have made preparations"...me thinks she means getting herself an attorney.

I thought the Wong issue was when Nurmi said he saw a HLN photographer doing what he thought was taking pictures of the jury, no?

Perhaps there IS HLN footage showing that a real juror was in the area when Juan was signing autographs. While Jean "Casaurus" may not have seen it, it is still possible that HLN has such video, thus giving more validation to the prosecutorial misconduct hearing.

Juror # 11, HLN/InSesson producer, the fact that ALV isn't death penalty qualified as an expert witness, ALV approaching Travis' family, perjury by ALV, etc...
Please feel free to add to the list of possibilities.

Well JM nailed her today on the whole, "how many men have you testified for in a Criminal Case" and her answer to the Jury of 1 or 2 was a bold faced lie. One that lies easily also lies often. (imagine ALV and JA in a cell together. One would like it more then the other...ha!):what:

I can't stand all this drama surrounding this trial! Why can't there be some order and discipline!? So much secrecy that keeps us guessing every other day about what's going on! I'm glad that atleast Travis' family know what is going on. Prayers for them and everyone supporting Travis.

If Ms. ALV is found to have lied on her CV, misrepresented her testimony on her previous testimony experiences and so on, would this finally be the issue that just might give Nurmi grounds for a mis-trial??? Maybe I should put this question on the legal thread.

No. Definitely not.

:rocke
r: I see nothing wrong with it either ...

For Example: he could have been approached by fans at a restaurant -- at a store -- to take pictures ... why is it any different when he is leaving the courthouse ?

:moo:

KCL or PASA said the other day when the Judge speaks, everyone listens. I think that just proved true! And if ALV hadn't spoken to Samantha, she wouldn't need to be back.

That would explain ALVs sudden knowledge of AZ law in regard to talking to Victim's Family, she referenced up on the stand today. Some people never learn to keep their big mouth shut.

Wow. I was home sick again so able to watch the live feed when not on the phone. What a day!

Judge S seemed, to me, really ticked off at ALV at the very end when they were discussing the "other issue" she needs to be there for (under subpoena, which means it is very unlikely to be anything she's getting paid for).

:seeya:

BBM: Thank You for this explanation.

IMO, the Judge seemed to emphasize "subpoena" ...

And yeppers, Judge was really ticked off ... can't wait to hear why !
