What issue/s needs to be discussed between ALV and the judge. Anyone have any ideas? tia

Seems to me Juan was ready to impeach her on how many times she had testified -- when the DT jumped up and approached for 10 minutes then went in chambers. I'm betting it has something to do with the fact she has never testified and she is going to dig up this ONE report she made.

WHAT????

ALV approached Sam???

When? how? what the heck, does this woman have not even the first clue as to how to comport yourself in a court room or trial setting? This is an "expert" ???

Somebody must clue me in to this I had not heard

ALV doesn't seem to have a clue as to how to comport herself in a court room trial at all! She doesn't bring her glasses that she knows she might need during testimony, she doesn't at least silence her cell phone during trial, she doesn't stand for the Jury, she asks the judge questions directly, and not only brings her own little cheering section for her 'clever' answers, but she asked the Judge for an urgently needed break, but stopped to say a few words to a member of the victim's family on her urgent way.

No, ALV either does not care, or thinks there is some sort of empathy that 'folks' wil relate to in her relaxed attitude in court I see it as disrespectful. I'm glad JudgeSS stopped ALV cold on her scheduling issues, particularly if the matter is her behavior in court. The jury has had to be more than patient, and they are not highly paid expert witnesses who should know better, and be able to answer a yes or no question - at least once in a while.
For a moment I thought the judge might hold ALV in contempt of court, and she would probably be justified in doing so - but, alas - no.

I am sure I heard the Judge excuse Juror #11 due to illness for the duration of the trial.

Stupid real life....
Missed the end of Juan...skimmed through here...
poor paquito....(juror 11)KCL said hes been pretty sick all week. Poor guy. I don't think its a DT thing--maybe its something chronic/serious.

Wonder what issue with ALV is.....maybe approaching Sam or lying on the stand. Either way, you can tell HHJSS is pizzad at her....

Am I fairly caught up?

"Ms. Laviolette, don't tell me about your personal issues."

Uh-oh.....looks like JSS forgot to say the magic word! :great:

Where do you see that? :waitasec: I looked at the docket and only see the one for prosecutorial misconduct from 4/7.

Personally I think the other is a rumor. I don't think there is anything the judge can do about that. :twocents:

did i dream the thing about the salem witch trials?? it's POSSIBLE!!

LOL!

I'm sure that you mean Phyllis Diller and no need to worry about it. Food Network's Anne Burrell wears hers just like that, and she's considered one of their :rocker:

That is so funny, I said this exact thing to DH this morning "I look just like Phyllis Diller" :)

I did manage to get out of PJs by 2pm today and clean the kitchen.

So we're not even sure who juror #11 is? Conflicting information. Would it kill journalists to report facts rather than rumours?

They are too busy trying to see how they can interject themselves into this circus. Oh yeah...that reporting the facts thing. Maybe they'll get to it at some point after JC touches up her makeup.

If Ms. ALV is found to have lied on her CV, misrepresented her testimony on her previous testimony experiences and so on, would this finally be the issue that just might give Nurmi grounds for a mis-trial??? Maybe I should put this question on the legal thread.

Ms. Laviolette, don't tell me about your personal issues= I don't care just be here. I noticed the judge didn't seem to like her much early on but now I truly think the judge just does not like her. I wonder why? Maybe past experience.

We probably shouldn't project onto JSS our feelings for ALV. We just aren't used to the judge being so forceful. :floorlaugh:
