I think he's channelling Charlie Chan, the popular 40s era movie detective. Chan was super smart, supremely decent, and very well-spoken, though with a slight accent. There was nothing to criticize in Chan's fine character iirc.

Even JW looked abashed during Nurmi's little "CSI: Phoenix" show this morning. Who cares if JA wasn't holding a knife on Travis in the shower? She eventually kills him with a knife--within a minute of that last picture. Nice try, Nurmi.

Dang! That would have been an excellent Juror question.

Potential juror question: Would a 100 lies told by JA constitute a pattern?

ALV: Well, you see it depends on the quality of the lie and also the context. And honestly I haven't seen any evidence of JA being a liar so I don't think she can be called a liar. There is nothing to support that. Can a hundred lies = a pattern? Yes, it's possible. Anything is possible but I just don't see it.

while we're waiting....something that's really bothering me -- JA's answer to the jury question concerning when she first told anyone about TA and the boy pictures. she answers that she didn't tell anyone until she had a meeting in the fall of 2011 with a (female) therapist/psychologist from california. i'm assuming that was ALV and wonder what question or statement could have elicited this tale? perhaps she was asked if TA had any reason to fear disclosure of something she knew about him? or.....any ideas???
