Potential juror question: Would a 100 lies told by JA constitute a pattern?

ALV: Well, you see it depends on the quality of the lie and also the context. And honestly I haven't seen any evidence of JA being a liar so I don't think she can be called a liar. There is nothing to support that. Can a hundred lies = a pattern? Yes, it's possible. Anything is possible but I just don't see it.

There was a lot of quality to Jodi's lies.

1. Fake text message to dead Travis (partly intended to call attention to the check)
2. Fake voice mail to dead Travis (partly to coverup the holes in her cell phone alibi)
3. Fake email to dead Travis
4. Fake journal entries intended for law enforcement (to coverup everything from the sex tape to premeditation)
5. Sever fake memorials

It was just her ninja story that lacked quality. Same is true for her current story.

The whole reflection in the eye thing is so ridiculous, but if it does get in, I am wondering if the "expert" has taken into account that there was a mirror behind the photographer. Wouldn't that interfere with the interpretation of the image in the eye?

Hi I have been away awhile. What happened to the trial? Has it not began yet?

A laughable Defense strategy...
Too bad...
bloody palm print trumps any mirage in the eye of a beholder.
Next up, Miss Cleo will use her expertise in the field of clairvoyance,
and tell us what the eye image was thinking.

ALV can do that for us, plus she is already on subpoena.

  • #267
She's not though. I just read her twitter. She says something to the effect that she's learned how to control or work her twitter account. She says "Goodbye negativity" - like it can just go away - POOF. No, I feel like she's standing by her testimony and behavior.

Obviously, Jodi converted her to the Laws of Attraction! Yuck:banghead:

Dang! That would have been an excellent Juror question.

According to ALV, you would need "context." You know, were they contemporaneous, pre or post-hoc fog lies? Anything contemporaneous or post fog qualifies as merely dissociative somethingorother. Please consult Dr. Richard Samuels for the exact parameters.

Still waiting outside the courtroom. Stay tuned. I need a nap. #jodiarias

I'm curious: how many lies constitute a "pattern?" :what:

How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man abuser batterer?
Same number.

This just takes me back to THAT OTHER FLORIDA TRIAL where when the pics were released of where Caylee's bones were discovered, everyone saw kittens in the pics..... Tricks of the camera, angle, shadows and eyes.

Took me forever to get the dragging pic ... The one with her foot in it from the original pic we had!

if i was on this jury i would be so pizzed

all of the time wasting then today to be told be there for 1.30 start and to still be hanging around.

I mutter that out loud (to myself mostly!) Every.Single.Day.

It's an outrage how much time has been taken out of the lives of these devoted, remarkable citizens. Can you even begin to imagine how taxing it must be to avoid all media every day? I'm sitting here with my Mac, my laptop, my Kindle and the TV, all tuned into the trial and WS.

God bless the jurors and pray for justice for Travis and the Alexander family.:please:

But just because someone 'follows' her it does not mean they side with her. I bet there are a lot of WSers 'following' her too--just to get the scoop. JMO

But it's still giving JA attention and an audience, and both of these will delight her. Remember all the questions she asked Det Fl about whether her arrest would be on the news etc? Expect to see that manifesto as a "collector's items" one day. JA should be ignored. She'd absolutely hate it.

The Mexican Americans where I live pronounce Arias as Ah dee as
YEP!

I'm in San Antoni....every Hispanic name imaginable is as common as 'Jones' here.

I've never heard ARIAS pronounced the way they pronounce it. LOL

It's either Ah dee us or Eh dee as.

Here is my take on what a JM/ALV exchange looks like to ME:

Martinez: Is the sky blue?

LaViolette: ::leans forward and squints:: I am not sure what you mean by that.

Martinez: It’s a simple “yes” or “no” question.

LaViolette: ::furrows eyebrows:: I can’t answer that question “yes” or “no” Mr. Martinez.

Martinez: Well, when you look up at the sky, it appears as if it is blue, correct?

LaViolette: ::slow smile:: Well, I guess if you want me to say that the sky is blue, the sky is blue, Mr. Martinez.

Martinez: I want to know what you think about the sky’s hue.

LaViolette: ::exasperated:: I don’t really know how you want me to answer this question, Mr. Martinez. I like to look at the big picture. Why is the sky blue? What causes it to appear blue to the naked eye? Is it really blue, because it looks almost black when the sun goes down, doesn’t it? Sometimes there are stars in the sky when it’s dark, but are they always there? What about on cloudy nights? Why can’t we see them when the sun is up? Then there is that whole thing about the reflection of light and the prism of colors and how the molecules break down and all of that hooha. I mean, I am not an expert on astronomy, Mr. Martinez, and there are many other factors that I would need to take into consideration before I can give you an answer.

Martinez: Are you done?

LaViolette: You need a timeout.

Close?

Do you remember when the outline of Caylee was done on the car rug? That outline was not entered into evidence..correct?

Anyone remember the Cheech and Chong court routine...

Defendant says..." I plead insanity... I am wild about that sort of thing!"

And the Judge says..."Bailiff... Whack his pee-pee!" :gavel:

HA HA!!!! YES! I DO remember this! My older sister had this on vinyl and I would sneak it out of her room and play it on my little plastic fold up record player for my friends when I was a kid! We would literally roll on the floor laughing! I also loved the dog skit - where one of them says "pinch a loaf". I'm cracking up as I'm typing this - :blushing:showing my immaturity LOL!Thank you for bringing back such a funny childhood memory of mine!

Sorry OT!!!
