Jodi has a hidden note in her hand just as the Mit. Specialist approaches her at the lunch break on the Part 2 video at 36:17. Also did anyone else see her at the close of last night oddly trying dump the little last bit of water from the pitcher into her cup? It was full of kleenex that I bet she had written on and was trying to destroy. Donovan was sitting in front of a kleenex box yesterday. JMO.

It reminds me of the day on cross when she refused to ever look at JM. She stared off in space, in the jury's direction but (according to court observers) not at the jury. Just refused to look at JM. And "seething" as Dr. Demarte described it.

Same exact thing, "if I don't look at you what you're saying isn't real."

At some point in the CA trial the defense asked that she be tested regarding her ability to continue with the trial....................wonder if the DT is taking a page out of Jose's playbook with JA's behavior today....

TOO far in. No way will that BS work.

Jodi hates that she wasn't able to fool Dr. DeMarte like she did her own expert witnesses.:floorlaugh:

JA and JD are the same age. Harder for Jodi to fool or play.

Please explain, I missed it. :please:

it is sealed so there is no explanation other than Juan said yesterday that LAV had reason to be "upset"

anything with alyce is sealed (she did a boo boo it would seem <--- alluded to yesterday)

sealed even! I'll go with the assumption she got slapped for approaching the family then, as the main boo boo. The list of her infractions are long, in my view. Her retorts and non-responses should have prompted contempt sanctions. JMO.

When will they be back?Hubby has stomach virus I have to run and get ginger ale!

OT - but most ginger ale no longer has real ginger in it (which is what settles the stomach). Check your labels.:seeya:

Yesterday, KatieCL posted in the trial watcher's thread that Beth Karas says this is what's to come: We're in the penalty phase now (guilty or not), then comes Aggravation phase (that's not what were in now? :waitasec:), then Mitigation phase. Then a month or two later, sentencing.

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - a view from the inside: observations from our own court observers #8

Yes-she is right..guilt phase, then penalty phase where Juan will put on witnesses to tell why Jodi's deserves death. Then the Defense will put on witnesses to tell jury why she does not deserve death!
Then both sides get to do a closing

Also I wanted to add...

Don't let JD's comment about her score in the verbal index is the highest you can get confuse you. What she meant by that is that 136 falls in the category of very superior which is anything 130 or higher, and is the highest category. The categories are as follows:

130 and above - Very Superior
120 to 129 - Superior
110 to 119 - High Average
90 to 109 - Average
80 to 89 - Low Average
70 to 79 - Borderline
69 and below- Extremely Low*

So while 136 is strong, it is by far *NOT* the highest score you can receive. I believe the highest would be 160.

I would totally love to see the complete scores of JA's WAIS results. I love analyzing IQ results and what it tells you about the person. I'm weird like that.:rocker:

Another indication of my obsession with this trial! I have been given a gift-card for any perfume at the shop (Ralph Lauren, Issey Miyake etc.) and I can't even think about perfume now. I normally love perfume.
Hey, that's another little simple pleasure that JA will never experience again!

I noticed the lack of glasses also...and if we notice, the jury notices. It makes her look very childish. As if she's saying " I don't like what you are saying, so I'm going to ignore you and act like you don't exist!"

No I think she is trying to compete with her looks. The psych expert is rather pretty and JA just hates this. That why no glasses today.

Calling all twittererers......
Has anyone said if the jurors are submitting questions for this witness?
TIA!

I envision one note from each juror thanking the hell outta JD for being so clear, succinct, articulate, knowledgeable and good looking.

Just my 2 cents though.

After yesterdays smack down and calling out JA and her twittering about JM I believe JA thinks she is paying JM back by NOT looking at him.

Secondly JA was administered some testing by the defense which she performed - does the defendant have the right to refuse testing by the prosecution or would the defendant be court ordered to be tested.

If the defendant was court ordered or under duress - would the testing be considered valid?

Honestly, I think that JA is not paying attention to the testimony, and trying to block it out, because that's the only way she can control herself. I think Dr. DeMarte is absolutely right about JA's seething anger issues and I can see that boiling over real fast if JA actually paid attention to her, by looking at her, and the testimony. I can see that stun belt getting a real work out. lol
