While HLN is on commercial break again, does anyone know someone who could go hide the remote from them so they can go without pausing for more than 4 minutes?

lol, that STUPID pause button. "Don't worry, you wont miss a minute, we pressed pause." UGH!!. Yes, I wont miss a minute, but will I be able to hear it in the nursing home I'm in when you finally finish?

I am looooving this day!!! I bet T-Dogg is smiling down on his family today!

It's very amusing how Jodi pretends to write a novel as Dr. D is on the stand. As if she hasn't a care in the world. And as if the jury can't see through it?? Silly goose.

You took the words right out of my mouth. JA pretending to be so busy and uninterested. :floorlaugh:

AZWatcher, I knew the MMPI would a primary evaluative measure in the prosecution case and it will be very telling. But I have wondered if MALINGERING is a dx that Dr. DeMarte found with JA---JMO but when JM introduced the concept of secondary gain I felt that maybe the Dr. had found Malingering to be present in the defendant.

There wasn't any evidence she lied on the MMPI. Therefore, it was a valid testing result.

As I heard the testimony

Recap on HLN about taking the MMPI. (not taking tests in the Samuels style lol)

Juan: "Would you ever have a time when you might write the patients answers down on a, say a legal pad, and then hand score the results?"

DrDeMarte: "no, never. The scores are run thru a computer for scoring."

lol ... Huge difference in testing with a true professional psychologist.
Conducted the 567 question MMPI - gold standard of testing.
None of the haphazard "how do feeeeeeeel ?" baloney testing that the other side went with.

JA must be choking on her baloney sandwich this lunch period.
Dr DeMarte has JA's number.
No hiding now JA.

Can't wait for more of Juan & Dr DeMarte after lunch.

Are we still on lunch break? I Had to do wifely duties and cook lol.

sealed even! I'll go with the assumption she got slapped for approaching the family then, as the main boo boo. The list of her infractions are long, in my view. Her retorts and non-responses should have prompted contempt sanctions. JMO.

I think boos boos abound with alv.. not sure but my :twocents:

Ok, I get Wilmott taking notes. But can the Judge tell Jodi that this testimony is about her and that she needs to pay attention and be respectful in her courtroom?? I'd be over there at the defense table smacking the crap outta her. Guess my judgeship just got put off a couple decades, eh?

Same exact thing, "if I don't look at you what you're saying isn't real."

Like when my super-shy daughter was little and thought we couldn't see her if she covered her eyes.

Really mature there, Jodes.

I don't think the jury will have any questions for this witness. She is very clear in her assessment.I will be surprise if they do..

After yesterdays smack down and calling out JA and her twittering about JM I believe JA thinks she is paying JM back by NOT looking at him.

Secondly JA was administered some testing by the defense which she performed - does the defendant have the right to refuse testing by the prosecution or would the defendant be court ordered to be tested.

If the defendant was court ordered or under duress - would the testing be considered valid?

The Dr. testified she didn't lie on the scale. Therefore, it was valid test result for the clinical sub-categories. (10 items)

As I heard the testimony.

OT - but most ginger ale no longer has real ginger in it (which is what settles the stomach). Check your labels.:seeya:

There's recipes out there for home made natural ginger ale, I've made it with a friend before. I think it was basically just ginger root, water, yeast and sugar. Tasted so much better than the type in stores.

Good Afternoon Everyone! My work load was crazy all day up until now and I missed the entire morning. Did Alyce testify to anything this morning? Can anyone enlighten me what that was all about? And also, last week Judge asked Ms. Wong to appear. Can anyone shed some light on that for me? Thanks in advance!
HLN producer Grace Wong testified in a mistrial motion the judge heard first thing Monday morning. She didn't see any jurors outside the courthouse when Juan Martinez signed the woman's case or took a few pictures with fans. No different from what Jean C. stated a few weeks ago. Whatever happened with Alyce LaViolette took place in a sealed hearing on Monday afternoon. She did not return to the stand on Tuesday. The defense rested at the start of the trial day and JM began the rebuttal case with Dr. DeMarte, a clinical psychologist.
