We are living duel lives here. My children walk by me sitting at the computer and roll their eyes..."I thought you said after Kyron Horman you weren't going to watch anymore of these things..." :jail:

PS...So the bartender says, "I already told you, I don't serve STRINGS in this bar now go on back outside with your other friends."

The third STRING was a little bigger than the rest and he says..."Wait!! I've got an idea! and he ties a BIG KNOT in his middle and frays up the ends of his hair and marches into the bar.

String gets up to the bar and orders a cold Miller draft.

Bartender says..."Heyyy...are you sure you're not a string??"

String says..."Nope! I'm a FRAYED KNOT."

(One of my favorite jokes).

Ahhh , you work just like a tonic on me! My nickname is my all-time fave joke. I know puns are the lowest form of humor and I am cool with that. I am not an intellectual snob. Obviously!

DD is embarrassed (shocker) that I think that joke is so funny. And the horse/bar/why the long face joke, too. :floorlaugh:

I'm a dork.

It this an "all brunettes look alike" sort of thing because I sure don't see any resemblance beyond skin and hair color.

Jodi has mestizo facial features, in particular her eyes, whereas Janine just looks like an Anglo-Saxon. Her face is long (Anglo/Nordic feature) and more fleshy than Jodi's small, squarish face. Jodi is looking like a female skeletor now.

Wow, do I agree with you. I don't usually comment on these appearance sort of posts, but I can't see the resemblance myself. On the other hand, everybody sees folks differently!

It's possible she has a mild form of alopecia, which can show as a "bald spot" the size of a quarter and usually grows back within 6 months. It is an autoimmune disorder and can be brought on by stress, which I'm sure she is dealing with a lot in this trial. Does anyone remember if she had it at the beginning of the trial?

MOO

It's recent. I've been watching that spot as well.

Please tell me JA did not sit through this whole day IGNORING the testimony. Makes me wonder what the jury thought about that.

I don't agree she'll need segregation. I'd bet a lot of women in prison are there because they helped some man sell drugs, rob a store, or assisted them in some other crime that got them sent to prison. She'll probably be voted 'Most Popular'.

Also, as much as I wholeheartedly respect your opinion I must disagree.

If I was in for a long term sentence with really nothing to gain for good behavior, I'd have her on my bouncy ball list every single day just for pure entertainment. I'm sure a lot of the women in there have TRULY been abused and see right through her act.

Most likely this is why she made friends with Donovan. JA knew she was being looked at and wanted protection. .. :truce:

For someone talking a lot, I can see why you would be thirsty. She just appeared extra thirsty to me. And I thought maybe that was from nervousness. I sure didn't see it as inexperienced though.

Dr. DeMarte didn't appear nervous at all, in my opinion. However, could anyone blame her if she were? She is testifying in a very high-profile DP case, called by the State in their rebuttal to counter the testimony of two defense "experts" and a lot is riding on her testimony. Not that she need to worry with "Juanderful" Juan leading the way...

:D

I'm thinking that the jury is probably made up with a bunch of folks just like us and they see right through all of this.

Hope, hope, hope...:please:

Well, now this certainly is a point of view I hadn't considered. JA's crime though is a bit different from the ones you have listed here are they not?

Care to expand on this? :fence:

Sure. Take Betty Broderick for example. Many many women said after she did her dirty deed that she did what they wanted to do but didn't have the nerve. She was a hero of sorts to many other women.

JA never looked up and never stopped writing that I saw. I've been reviewing testimony on YouTube

So wait. Did Dr D say she was a psychopath? Did I miss that? Wonderful!
I think they meant Dr D. instead of Denine

--------------
Hi, I believe he does consider her a psychopath. He's referred to it other times. :seeya:

(One of my favorite jokes).

When I threw my soda can across the room at the Not Guilty verdict in a "certain Florida case", and vowing to NEVER EVER invest my energy in another trial, my daughter walks by me everyday and rolls her eyes at me as well with a sigh under her breath...she doesn't understand...lol

Her bio from U Mass (volleyball) said she was from El Paso, Tx.

I'm hispanic....french, spanish and native american, but Jodi and Demarte both look hispanic to me. As does Jauntastic, mitigation person and even Nurmi a bit. Wilmott might be part, too.

I missed part of today's testimony. Did Dr. D expand beyond the 2-3 diagnoses? Did she explain the other 4 or were they ignored. If so, why?

LOL I know! When I had my golden (RIP) and was around her breeder or any breeder, they use the b-word like it's no big deal. It means "female dog" and is just a word, with no human connotation to it. You hear them say it ALL the time! But I could never get used to it and refused to use that word so would refer to my female as "my girl." They'd just roll their eyes at me.

If Boycie was a girl, she'd be my little girl. My dogs are my children, and I would never use that word to refer to one of them. Let someone try to split hairs about the "correct" technical terminology, and I'll just find a new vet.

I felt she was tad nervous in the beginning and might have had a dry mouth. I was impressed with the composure she demonstrated by being able to deliver the goods while a little nervous. That shows class and that she knows her stuff. It tells me she is taking responsibility for her own nervousness and has the skill to balance herself. I appreciated that she didn't help JW out when she was floundering, and instead allowed her to trip and fall on her own. She didn't rescue her. That shows good boundaries. Some may read that as arrogance, but not me. It's not her job to make JW appear competent or enable her in her in any way. MOO

I personally didn't detect a change in Dr. DeMarte's demeanor between JM and JW. She her intonation and inflection sounded nearly the same with both to my ear.

Who cares if she was a bit tense? She would be stupid not to be; she knows the defence is looking for anything they can to demerit her credentials and her evaluation. The drinking...So what? She was up there on the stand for 4+ hours today. I'd be drinking too. At least she's not asking for pee breaks throughout her testimony.

moo

KCL said the courtroom is very dry. This is why the gallery is permitted to have water. And, after all folks, it is Arizona. lol
