Ha! I think Jodi is a perfect example of how the 'law of attraction' does jack cr** unless you work your butt off in a positive direction at the same time (and really it's the working not the magical thinking that's helping). For all Jodi's solid determination to 'think positive things .. ' and all the rest of it, she ended up broke, broken up, having murderous thoughts, and now in jail and on a trial where her best hope is to save her life.
How's that working for ya Jodi?
I bet you are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful! I do remember the doctor being asked when these symptoms show up and she said as early as a toddler. So my belief still stands that some people are just born evil. The camera panned over to Jodi's mom and I genuinely felt sorry for her. Thank you for explaining.
She only has one way to cross. She's done it with every witness. She's too methodical. It's not effective because she loses everyone early on. I don't think she's going to get anywhere trying to take JD down. I don't think it can be done, and even if it could, JW isn't going to be the one to accomplish it.
Hi All, I am an attorney (not yet verified by Websleuths). I watched JW's cross today and I am underwhelmed. I guess the point that JW is trying to make is that Dr. D. is inexperienced... but JW is falling short and the result is that Dr. D. simply is getting more opportunities to expound on her experience and education. Notice that JW seems to be asking questions that allow the witness to talk, rather than "directing" the testimony as Juan does on cross.
Whether you like Juan's style or not, from an attorney's standpoint, he is phenomenal at controlling a witness on cross. Cross-exam is a very tough skill that many attorneys will never perfect in their careers, but Juan does it. He also seems to have a slight or partial photographic memory. His ability to recall dates, specific phrases, specific incidents, previous testimony, etc is incredible and rare.
Arizona is extremely dry, particularly at this time of year.
Wow. Same age as Jodi. Hmmm.
I agree. Couldn't you just hear Clever Juan saying to himself, "I know you can't bring it, but go ahead anyway."
LOL
I was waiting for someone to ask.

I wonder what JW will find to attack Dr D on other then her youth and relative inexperience, which I don't think is working out as well as she thought it would. She is very knowledgeable and not at all arrogant or defensive. She knows her stuff and has a lot of confidence in her knowledge.
Or maybe.....Dr. Drew isn't anymore qualified than Dr. Samuels or ALV. IMO.
I'm thinking that the jury is probably made up with a bunch of folks just like us and they see right through all of this.
Hope, hope, hope...lease:
This witness, Dr. D, is awesome isn't she? It's amusing how throughout her testimony JA is so obviously trying to be even busier than usual. Can't begin to imagine why![]()
Because that promotes stigma and is not accurate. BPD has been heavily researched and is very serious. She wasn't psychotic
