Jennifer got all pizzed off at the beginning comparing how much Dr. DeMarte makes per hour to her experts (forgetting that she put up 2 experts who blabbed on for DAYS and DAYS and DAYS and DAYS about NOTHING) but she has no problem dragging this out letting each hour go by with out anything real happening.

Juan had the Dr. up there for half a day. There is no good reason for this but I think she is going to pay off this woman's house with all of her pointless badgering and "right?"s which is probably one bill the Tax Payers don't mind paying. She is holding her own.

Wilmott is moving around more instead of standing at the podium (Juan Style) she is asking 'right' after every question (Juan Style) she is questioning with a sense of attitude (Juan Style) she is trying to make a point and then move to another point smoothly, effortlessly (Juan Style).

She must have taken lessons from JA.

Exactly right--she has adopted the superficial mannerisms of Martinez, but not the intellectual strategy. she is just spinning her wheels.

I can't believe how many questions she asks that she doesn't know the answer to--isn't that the first rule of courtroom lawyering? Never ask a question you don't know the answer to?

You know what is going to be REALLY SAD.... the DT's closing arguments. I shake at the mere thought of what kind of doo doo they will try to use to convince this jury JA HAD to KILL and SLAUGHTER Travis.

I know that closing argument is going to be grueling and sickening for all of us and for his family. We will be needing to wrap our arms around each other and hang tight as not to lose our minds, on those (what I believe will be excrutiating Closing Arguments.)

I am happy in the fact that their Closing Arguments will be the last time we ever have to hear the DTs voices again.

You know, I've sat in the courtroom in real life and listened to lawyers outright lie and mislead. I've sat in the courtroom in real life and listened to the JUDGE make egregious errors.

BUT THIS??? This is crap. I'm not a lawyer, I do have real life experience and I'm not stupid, not Einstein but not stupid and I just can't see any point to this line of babble.

JW is making herself look bad, she's arguing for the sake of arguing and trying to get Dr. D to trip up on ANY word.

It's sickening.

I had a dentist appointment this morning when court began, but in my scanning of the forum up to this point I'm not seeing that the issue of the defense misspeaking in a question to the witness has not been addressed in court, is this accurate? TiA

Judge can't do anything unless JM objects.

Watching the exchange between JW and JDM, JW was foundering. I'm betting JM did not object because he had more confidence in his expert. Better to let the jury see JW having to drop her line of questioning on her own.

JDM made several statements that would leave a lasting impression on the jury, which JW so kindly repeated for reinforcement. Such as not being able to ask Travis because he was dead (with beautiful inflection in her voice) and JDM not wanting to give any answers that might be misleading.

It was a pleasure to watch this witness and I am thankful that she was an expert for the PT.

I hate to have to keep sticking up for the defense, but she wasn't given anything to work with. Jodi tied their hands and this witness is exceptional. Jenny is just trying to do her job.

I agree with you; however, id follow up what you said with HOWEVER, she is doing it with such unprofessionalism (giggling, sighing, snarkiness, etc) that law students should all take note that this is NOT how to do the job.
